Lucius Judrow was good at his job, maybe too good. Hired by Jack Carlson of Cutter’s Creek to track down and retrieve his sister Emma, Lucius got more than he bargained for. The free-spirited Emma wasn’t what he expected, nor was the family she’d taken refuge with. Emma Carlson, in hiding from her brother so she could marry a man of her own choosing, kept a watchful eye on those that passed through White’s Stage Stop in case one struck her fancy. And lo and behold, one did! He was handsome. He was strong. He was mysterious! He was also sent by her brother Jack to find her! (So much for romance.) And if the tall, dark, devilishly handsome Mr. Judrow thought he could take her back to her brother, well, he had another think coming! Kit Morgan’s second installment in the Cutter’s Creek Series, Love is Blind is the story readers have been waiting for! These sweet, clean, wholesome stories are a delight to read! Mail-Order Brides, western settings and the town of Cutter’s Creek make them special. Enjoy Emma and Mr. Judrow’s story!
Kit Morgan, aka Geralyn Beauchamp, has been writing for fun all of her life. When writing as Geralyn Beauchamp, her books are epic, adventurous, romantic fantasy at its best. When writing as Kit Morgan they are whimsical, fun, inspirational sweet and clean stories that depict a strong sense of family and community. 'His Prairie Princess' is the first of the Prairie Brides books and the first in the series of a long line of stories about Clear Creek, Oregon. One of the wackiest little towns in the old west! Get to know the townsfolk in Clear Creek and come sit a spell!
NOTE: Hi folks, it has come to my attention there is an erotica book floating around out there written under the name Kit Morgan. IT IS NOT MY BOOK! I do not, and never will, write in that genre.
The flow of the first half was just fine, but the second half was too fast like the author sped it up just for the sake of having something to submit to the publisher.
I find 3 things idiotic: 1. If Emma didn't really want to leave, she could marry Oscar or Anson then have an annulment after Lucius went back to Cutter's Creek. 2. Lucius and Emma didn't need get married, they could pose as brother and sister. 3. Lucius had some time (albeit not plenty but at least had a some) to think and refrain from kissing Emma. He stopped his horse, dismounted, walked to her, asked her (many times) to get off from her horse and yanked her. Don't tell me he wasn't able to think and control himself??
Lastly, I don't like it when it was the female leading character who did the chasing.
5 stars I purchased the novella Cutter's Creek Book 8: Love is Blind by Kit Morgan and this review was given freely. Bounty hunter Lucius leave Cutter's Creek searching for Jack's {Cutter's Creek book 1} sister Emma but what he finds is Taloa and a marriage for propriety. This is a well written love at first sight romance starting at the White's stage stop near Clear Creek Montana. Easy flowing, humorous and action packed this sweet love story is filled with both action, some danger and vivid characters.
This story actually ties together two series. It starts in Clear Creek Oregon and goes to the White Stage Stop and then ends up in Cutter's Creek. Lucius and Emma were minor characters in a previous book where Jack and Willow met. The author pulled together many pieces from previous books and created an interesting story.
A story that will make you laugh as two unconventional people banter as they fall in love. Lucius is hired by Emma’s brother to find his runaway sister and bring her back. Who would have thought she was working at a stage stop (White’s Stage Stop) on the way to Oregon. You will enjoy this one!
I enjoyed Love Is Blind by Kit Morgan, as I have enjoyed each book in this series. Sweet romance, humor, adventure. . .this book has it all! I enjoyed the innocent playful personality of Emma--climbing trees and all! I highly recommend this book for a fun and clean read.
I enjoy books by Kit Morgan. I have read other authors in this series and this book did not disappoint. Emma runs away before she is forced to marry. Mr. Judrow is hired by Emma's brother Jack to find her and bring her home to Cutter's Creek.
A stubborn girl and a bounty hunter with a sweet tooth. A long trip back to a brother she was running from. A witty back and forth between the two makes a sweet romance. Mrs. Morgan always have delightful characters that you love. She did a fine job as always getting the couple to love.
Kit Morgan makes me laugh and cry as her stories are so wonderful and witty of course.
This eighth book in the Cutter Creek series is most wonderful as they all have been so far. As per her usual writing this story is witty as can be, very funny in the right places and add adventure and budding romance in the mix and you get a great story that you can't put down. This story has that extra flair as she returns to my favorite place, Clear Creek, Oregon where you just love the town and its inhabitants. Throw in the fantastic White's stagecoach stop you get a great mix of beloved people and places. I absolutely loved this story and the witty and oh so funny exchanges between hero and heroine and their budding romance. Of course add in adventure, a gang of outlaws, and a smart heroine who climbs trees and throws rocks and pine cones at the outlaws since the hero is caught by them before he could draw his gun. Good thinking on her part. Oh so much happens in this short story you keep on reading until you finish it. That is the sign of a very good story. I highly recommend this book and the very first story the Ms. Morgan also wrote to introduce us to Cutter's Creek and the story of Jack and Willow.
I just finished this book. Characters are so real in her books. I can just see Emma sassing Lucious every day as his wife. Her character is spunky and full of life. Mr.Judrow has his hands full with her for sure. I couldn't put it down. And I loved it. I also loved the other Cutters Creek books. Bravo Kit, you did it again
How do these books get better with each successive story? Emma and Lucious are so intense with each other and their relationship is one of continuing friction with the underlying current of attraction... and such emotion!
Hero: Lucius - Heroine: Emma 4.5* : Another great story in this series that is filled with fun, love and intrigue. The story progressed steadily, has well developed characters and a fun developing plot. This story has a very happy and satisfying HEA
