I’ve wanted to write books for adults for as long as I can remember but I was too scared to try. One day I decided to be brave and dipped a toe into the bubble bath of romantic comedy with my first novella, Cupidity, and I’ve never looked back. I often try to be funny to be funny, except for when faced with traffic wardens and border control staff. My favourite thing is making people smile.
I’ve tried many jobs over the years, from barmaid to market researcher and I even had a brief flirtation with modelling. These days I am mostly found writing.
I live near London with my grey tabby cat, Portia. We both have an unhealthy obsession with Marmite.
Oh wow, what an amazing end to this delightful 4 part series. I have truly enjoyed ever page of it.
It was wonderful seeing how it all came together at the very end, there was even one moment that bought tears to my eyes.
I loved following Gina's story from start to finish and seeing how it all end for her and to finally discover which man she would ultimately end up with. She definitely made the right choice.
I'm actaully a bit sad to have finished reading this as will miss all of the wonderful characters dearly, but alas, all good things must come to an end eventually.
I highly recommend this 4 part series, it is truly delightful, entertaining and wonderful.
I loved this series of books. Based in Cornwall - mawgan porth - one of my favourite beaches and padstow also gets mentioned throughout. Loved all the characters, the plot of the story. Just one of my authors who I enjoy who gives an easy read.
Well the final part in the Picture House by The Sea series did not disappoint! This was obviously where all the story lines came to a head and things were resolved or not as the case may be. Because of that the plot is very much things coming together and so you can expect drama drama drama! I loved that it was structured like this because it made it super quick to read and I flew through this. There are romantic moments, there are heart warming moments and there are some tough moments too, very much reflecting Gina's life entirely and totally relatable!
Obviously Gina completely shines in this series. I love her as a character because she always wants to do the right thing and I find that admirable about her. She is down to earth and she is a strong woman who gets stuff done on her own merit-what more could we want for in a heroine? Ben obviously plays a big part in this final instalment too. I just love how laid back he is, he really is a tonic to the whole storyline, and yet that doesn't mean he doesn't have passion. He is so passionate about everything that he is into and I love that about him! Gina's family really come into play in this novel and It was great to see them altogether in one place. We also have the villains of the story, Rose and her mother. Rose doesn't play as big a role in this episode as she has in previous, but her nastiness still adds some fuel to the drama, as you might imagine.
Of course there is a little bit of ice cream and a lot of movie magic in this book, as there has been in all the others. There are references to quite a few different movies throughout this book, and not just Some Like it Hot. That is one of the things I have loved about this series, it has definitely inspired me to go and watch the movies of the names of the episodes! Thankfully there wasn't quite as much Italian coffee and cooking in this one and so I didn't have to arm myself with an espresso and a bowl of pasta to read it but it was still just as much fun as the other books in this series.
I cannot wait to see this book released as a whole as I think it will work really well following on from one another and I can't wait for everyone to start falling in love with Gina, Ben and the Picture House by the Sea just as deeply as I did.
Loved this series just as much as The Star and Sixpence series. Like a 'chocolate box' romance - a sweet indulgence. I particularly enjoyed them due to the settings - a beautifully restored picture house in a Cornish coastal village and a traditional village pub - places that I would be delighted to happen across in my travels.
Ahh, the final part of The Picture House by the Sea series has come and gone and I have that pleasantly comfortable feeling that you can get once you have read a good book. I like to think of it as the hot water bottle feeling. I feel snug.
Some Like it Hot at the Picture House by the Sea has the cinema reopening to much applause but before then there has been some dastardly plots afoot that Gina, Ben and the gang have had to try and fix but in the grand tradition of rom-com books it all works out in the end.
I am so glad I read this series. It really has been a warm hug on a cold day.
Well done, Holly Hepburn.

Another fab book in this series - gave it 4 stars purely as it wasn't long enough.
Can't believe it's the end of the series - this book could definitely have carried on after the way it ended (just a tinsey bit more) - if you read it you will know what I mean...
Feel a bit disappointed with the ending as I've really enjoyed the series.
Leuke serie. Graag gelezen.
I wanted this book to be longer as I wasn't ready for it to end. The fourth instalment of this series was brilliant and brings together everything that has happened throughout all the books.
I read this on the recommendation of the librarian. It was an easy, predictable read which was fine for the week after Christmas but won't be especial memorable.
