This is a book I definitely needed at this time in my life, when it's so easy to get caught up in the busyness of daily life and neglect my personal spiritual growth journey. I loved the attitude of hope and encouragement the author shares, and her words are perfect for those with serious struggles as well as those who need minor course corrections- basically everyone! I appreciated that there are so many examples from the scriptures- both the Bible and The Book of Mormon- that the author uses to make personal connections to ourselves. She uses real life examples as well, and I felt like this was an easy book to read while providing depth and thought-provoking insights. Quotes from modern day prophets and literary giants such as Leo Tolstoy were also shared that brought inspiration and light. There were so many passages to highlight and this is a resource I plan to turn to again and share with my friends and family. I felt the Spirit as I read and it encouraged me to increase my efforts to grow closer to my Savior and seek God's will, and look forward to the blessings that are promised as I do so. Highly recommend!!!

ALIGNED WITH CHRIST is full of stories, object lessons, and principles to help each individual asses their relationship with Christ. It's not a book about perfection, but about being aware of one is and working toward being completely aligned with Christ, just as the title suggests. An inspiring and honest look to aid spiritual self-assessment, mostly gearing to members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

I enjoyed reading through this. It definitely made me think and do some self-assessment. I liked all the different stories and ways she applied different concepts with real-world experiences or things, making it easy to relate to or understand her point. The writing style was also easy to understand. I also appreciated that she covered all aspects of life, the physical and mental as well as the spiritual. I did want a little bit better organization for her thoughts with maybe some pictures or quotes in the side margins to break up the text, but overall there are a lot of good concepts here and plenty of little nuggets of spiritual wisdom.

In the end, was it what I wished for? An enjoyable book that delivers spiritual insight and hopefully helps in making our lives more closely aligned with Christ.

This book was great to read for introspection into my own life to see if I'm aligning it with Christ. I read a chapter each day with my regular scripture study and found a lot of great nuggets of truth and knowledge.
I also found a handful of misspelled words... Just needs another edit before the second printing.

The very first question on the description of the book got me right away. I'll admit that it's something I think about, and so I was intrigued by what this book would have to say on the subject. Right off she starts with a story, and those were some of my favorite parts of the book. I enjoyed the little snippets of examples brought about through a story of something that happened to her, or to someone else.

I got little gems out of this book like, "If we want anything to happen, we have to participate fully." I learned where the phrase, "Peter out" comes from (I find things like that fascinating). "If it feels wrong, it certainly isn't right. If only we could remember that." "Inner alignment means there's no conflict between what others claim to believe and what you do. It means you are the same person when you're alone as you are when you're surrounded by people. It means you're authentic no matter how hard the world tries to get you to be fake."

My favorite chapters were the ones on attitude (because who doesn't need an attitude adjustment sometimes?) and the one on words. Maybe it's my inner communication geek coming out, but I really loved it. It got me thinking about the words that I use...especially with my own family.

This isn't a quick read. This is a read slowly, ponder, look inward and pray kind of book.

Have you ever seen that "perfect" quote or heard that "perfect" song or talk that felt as if it was meant JUST FOR YOU? It was as if the author looked into my brain and felt what was in my heart and then wrote a book about it. I related so much to the author and felt like we could be good friends.

I am definitely a task and goal oriented "list" person. I even earned an award for "Queen of Lists" at one of my previous employers. I love how she points out to have separate lists, one for our daily tasks and one for our "someday". It makes it so much less complicated and overwhelming!

I absolutely LOVED this book! I learned so much. It is packed full of doctrinal principles, stories, analogies, and practical application. I love the self assessments.

I feel so inspired to be aligned with Christ. What a perfect book to read the last week of the year as I am contemplating and planning for next year.

I loved reading the introduction to this book and the differences between the 3 books this author has written: Defined by Christ, Refined by Christ and now Aligned with Christ. "In the following pages you will discover hope and guidance-not from me, but from the teachings of the Savior- on how you can align your life with His will..." The author spent over 4 years studying to write this book as a "guide to remind us what we can and should do to stay in tune with His Spirit and will for our lives."

This book was wonderfully written and includes practice advice, scriptures and stories. I found it very uplifting and enjoyable to read. She focuses alot on attitude, belief, our words, focusing and taking action. I highly recommend reading it!

I received a copy of this book complimentary for blog and social media review. All opinions are my own.

"This is a very inspirational book written primarily for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, although many other Christians could benefit from reading the pages of inspiration.Do you feel depressed, discouraged, despondent, etc? In 'Aligned with Christ', the author brings in many different aspects of the Atonement many of us do not realize." --Customer Review

Very good inspirational book. There were a lot of typos that could have been an easy fix, but other than that, the message of the book was wonderful.

I enjoy having a gospel audio book to re-orient me to where I need to be spiritually and this book was a great one. Nothing new or super profound but I appreciated the perspective and personal experiences and examples. I might look into more of her books in the future.
