I struggle with third person as a reader, it's really not my preference. HOWEVER Dzintra is one talented author because it didn't bother me in the slightest. This book captured me...has me craving more.

A human and a dragon love story *swoons* I'm so keen for the next book and hopes Dzintra is busy typing away.

One thing that really grabs me with a new series and author is a story that is exclusive and unique. Immersion certainly is that.

Initially at first I was unsure if this book was for me. It was a slow starter and slow paced for me but Once I got into 20% I was certainly intrigued.

We met the characters, the smart mouthed , foul mouthed sexy brothers. Buff, Brawn and hot as hell ! They certainly tickled my fancy haha.. ((Chocolate Brownies now come to mind . ))

One brother of authority , the rest following suit, not all of them are happy about this but as the clan rules go they must all follow.

The gibber between the brothers and words put back and forth gave me a giggle or two. Quiet Graceless but dam amusing.

The author put through great imagery of these dragons and I can say I wasn't disappointed in their delivery.

Payton has A Sassy best friend (( Kylee )) with a mouth like a potty. Both the girls had no filters at times, but it made them enjoyable characters. Strong, loyal, and loving. As a reader I relished in the fact that the girls did not take any crap , they stood there ground and stuck to there guns . One thing I enjoy in a female lead. Strong and defined characters.

Both female characters have outgoing and friendly personalities, both loud, loyal to each other and very straight forward and low tolerance for anything that may erk them . They both say it how they say it is !

The story line progresses quiet fast after the initial introduction . It has its purpose once you start and get immersed in the characters, the story and the plot.

I have to say the brothers certainly made it an enlightening read. Light and fun but The author introduces us to many paranormal creatures in this story. A secret underground hideaway, rivalry that has gone on for centuries, grudges between two species and discovering that someone you initially hated is actually your life mate .

Tid bits of romance along the way, I would have loved to have seen more. ** But I am a mushy kinda gal ** We get a drizzle here and there enough to keep us waiting for more : D

This story has so much potential for more to come , I eagerly look forward to finding out more .

My first story by this author and it wont be my last.

Sizzling dragons, alluring story line, Intriguing plot and A page turner that will keep you entranced and wanting more.

Wow! What an amazing start to this brand new series by Dzintra Sullivan. I've always had a bit of soft spot for dragons, but these dragon brothers have stolen my heart..

Payton Hunter goes for a late night stroll to clear her head, when she is blown off a cliff into the sea. With her life flashing before her eyes, she doesn't know how she will survive...

Prince Volos is out on a mission and finds Payton in floating in the water. He doesn't know what to make of her. He doesn't care much for humans, but there's something that draws him to her. Is she a spy? Will this be his chance to prove himself to his father the King? Who is this beautiful little human?

I don't want to give too much away. Such a great storyline. Full of action, suspense and lots of laugh out loud moments. Can't wait to read more of this series.

If you love paranormal romance and dragons, you will adore this book.

Solid 4.5 star
This is a fantastic read not only for the story line "Hello hot dragon men!" but also the characters who are strong, sassy, make you Lol as well as be worried about them. I was pretty hooked right from the get go and didn't know what would happen next as well as some great surprises. The concept of being able to live under the sea was great and made me think of who else could be under there and the stories that could come out of it.
Volos detests humans and everything to do with them as they helped cause dragons to have to stay hidden, unlike his brothers who enjoy things from up top where humans are, so needless to say when he comes across Payton he has no idea how head strong and determined some humans can be. They are so much alike its great to see the sparks fly but also how they slowly come to realise they don't hate each other as much as they thought and both want whats best for environment including Vols's home.
I can't wait for more books in this series and read about those hot brothers !

I was given a complimentary copy of this book to provide an honest review for The Assassin's reading reviewing group.

How unique and different was this book it just blew me out of the water,I love this use of dragons and mythical tales being brought in to a beautifully blended twisted story,Its magical!
Damn there is some eye candy in this book!
A clan of delectable and lip smacking brothers that make you drip and melt like chocolate fondue, apart from wanting to lick that chocolate off there bodies I was taken away with this amazing paranormal story that explodes before your eyes throwing stuff at you that you so were not expecting, this story delivered such creativeness and loaded with emotions of all kinds.
This book is well worth sinking your teeth into,I want more of this story and I just do not think I'll ever be able to give these guys up and tear myself away from the leading lady Payton ~

I have been following Dzintra since a chance meeting at an author event on the Gold Coast and have been smitten ever since.... so this review may be a little bias.

I loved this book, Dzintra has a way of putting words to paper that transport you to the exact place in time as you're reading as if the characters are standing right in front of you. Her characters all have bold personalities that leap off the page, there is no fill in fluffer characters here. From their smart mouths heroine to the foul mouthed brothers, you are in for a roller coaster ride from start to finish. I couldn't put it down once I started and can't wait to see which shifter gets his mate next.....

If I had to say anything critical it would be that a couple of scenes left me wanting more, but I guess that is what it is all about..... and i am a stickler for details, details details

I’ve been in love with Dzintra’s writing since I read her first book in the Halfway House series, Arkadia. I’ll admit I was a little worried when she started the Apalala Clan series, but she exceeded my expectations as, once again, she transported me to a new world as well as a very happy place. Dzintra also sent me to a world of dragon shifters. I was in heaven!
But don’t get me wrong, this book is not all butterflies and rainbows. It’s full of angry dragons – one, in particular, who may steal your heart and “men” who are not what they seem. In fact, nothing is what it seems.
I suppose I shouldn’t forget Payton, the main character in the story. Now this is a woman I would want as my friend and one who is also much more than what she first appears.
Immersion is written in third person, something I don’t usually like, but Dzintra writes so well I wasn’t even aware of it until it was pointed out to me. I became so involved in the story which flowed across the pages, it was never an issue.
I gave Immersion 5 stars and I can’t wait to read the next book in this series. I wonder who will be the next dragon shifter to find his soulmate?

I Love the Halfway House series by this author and to be honest I wondered how she would ever be able to top that but in my opinion she is not only topped that series but excelled with this first book about 5 water dragon brothers.
Payton Hunter is the feisty and sassy human who's life is about to change when she is rescued from certain death by the serious and sullen prince Volos, oldest son of the water dragon king, with a serious dislike of humans so 'V' is in for the shock of his life when he realises Payton's awareness of him can only mean one thing !
This is a fantastic story full of danger excitement and some unusual characters but what I really love about this authors writing is the humour and sarcasm, this gives these books the edge for me and will have me coming back time and time again for this authors work.

I have always enjoyed the fun ideas in Dzintra Sullivan's storylines and was very entertained by this book, so much so I didn't want it to end!

Immersion introduces us to a clan of water dragons as well as some important female humans called Payton and Kylee. Their lives are basically thrown together with the royal warriors of this clan in circumstances beyond their control.

I loved everything about the book from the gorgeous cover to the fun humour for e.g. “A pompous, overinflated, shark f***er, with a spiky starfish shoved so far up his rectum, it tickles his tonsils?” Jo offered, tilted his head, and with a wiggle of his eyebrows, he flashed a grin that spread the entire span of his face. Or...
“Pick on my friends and I’ll kick your lily white a** from here to next Sunday. My grandfather always said the bigger they are, the harder they fall. I’m more than happy to test that theory.” Payton about Volos.
Just two of the fabulous moments. I love the sassy, strength of Payton. The descriptions make it very easy to visualise things as they happen. "It made Payton so proud to be her friend, no matter who or what you were doing, change was only but a single step away for those brave enough to take it." Payton about Kylee. What a terrific line.

I eagerly await the rest of the books in this series.

I was sceptical of how thoroughly Immersion would engage me, but I need not have worried, the author has created a well written fantasy world that is interwoven into our human one. I enjoy paranormal books, however, I have rarely moved beyond the more well known vampire and shifter novels. Immersion introduced me to dragons.

Dzintra Sullivan has a way with words. So descriptive and captivating in one chapter, then humorous in the next. The calibre of writing made me forget that I dislike the third person writing style, it didn't detract from the story, as it usually does for me.

The book centres around a human woman, Payton, and Volos, a Water Dragon. Volos and his brothers are a part of a clan of Dragons that live in the ocean however they spend much of their time in human form. All of the brothers are distinct from the start, the author taking the time to develop these characters and make them individuals for readers early on. Other secondary characters are also well developed and I hope they feature in future novels.

The mystery of this book had me hooked, however, I would have liked more sex scenes. The hot and steamy was what was missing for me, but the romance was there. I really enjoyed the "scent" of your fated partner, another quirky aspect of the dragon love story.

I look forward to future Apalala Clan books, especially Josua's as I love a tattooed rebel!

This is a great start to a new series and one I can’t wait to read more about! Volos is such a pain in the beginning. I seriously didn’t really like him. But the author did a great job of taking a seemingly unlikable character and slowly turning him into a better understood, hot alpha male dragon that I ended up liking. Payton was great with her not taking crap from anyone, including big stuffy Volos. Kylee is a great best friend and I’m secretly hoping she too will find love with one of the dragon princes. And then there’s Jo. He’s different and I know there’s got to be a good story there about him and why he’s so different. One I would love to hear! All around great characters!

This is the first book by Dzintra Sullivan that I've read and I have to say I loved it.
Payton's our heroine. Petite and mouthy when it's called for and very much a human. Volos is our hero, he's a water dragon prince. He's hot and huge and really doesn't like humans.
This action packed story is filled with sarcasm and humour and a sizzling attraction. Did I mention Volos has 4 brothers? Yep. Five hunks to drool over. And they all join together to overcome the enemy.
I can't wait to start the next book in the series!
