About the author

John Eckhardt is overseer of Crusaders Ministries, located in Chicago, Illinois. Gifted with a strong apostolic call, he has ministered throughout the United States and overseas in more than eighty nations. He is a sought-after international conference speaker and has authored more than twenty books, including Identifying and Breaking Curses, Prayers That Rout Demons, Prayers That Break Curses, Prophet, Arise!, and God Still Speaks. He also produces a weekly television program, Perfecting the Saints. Eckhardt resides in the Chicago area with his wife, Wanda.

For so long I just didn't understand myself. I didn't understand why I had such difficulties with church people and the church, I didn't understand why I was the way I am. This book will validate many, many people who are struggling with having the nature and gifting of a prophet.

While reading this book I found myself nodding and saying, "Yup, that happened to me!", "Oh man, I so had that experience!"

I love how Eckhardt says over and over again that "you're not crazy." (You don't know how many times people with this gifting wonder that!) He will make you realise that God made you this way, God made you special (everyone is, though apparently the prophet was made DIFFERENT), and there is really nothing wrong with you.

In fact, you have a very special and much-needed function in church. Unfortunately, not many people will understand you or what you do. Hell, some people will just downright dislike you for being YOU. Eckhardt's book prepares and affirms you as God's special creation, and to give you the boldness to be who God made you to be.

It doesn't, however, give you in depth instructions on how to exercise the gift. That needs another book altogether!

I was thoroughly impressed with the truth in this book. I read it in under twenty-four hours. I could not put it down. John Eckhardt captured the essence of the prophet's heart, calling, and struggle. He completely backed it up with scripture and laid it out plain and simple. I desperately needed a book such as this when I read it, and I was not sorry that I picked it up. If you are a prophet for the Lord, or suspect you may be one, this book will help you rise to the call. I highly recommend it for all prophetic types.

I had heard a lot about John Eckhardt and his teachings, so this is the second work I've purchased by him and I can't believe I didn't get material from him sooner. This book is like a directory of revelation for prophetic people. Every nugget is rooted in scripture, so by the time you read through a few pages, you don't even realize you've been reading large chunks of the bible. Prophet Arise is bold book.

Prophet Arise by John Eckhardt

This was an amazing book to read about encouraging God’s Prophets for such a time as this in this generation (Esther 4:14). We prophets need prayer more now than ever because Jezebel is running rampant throughout the lands and she must be silenced and stopped. I read many books by many authors. There are two books in the Christian genre that have left a lasting impression on my soul and changed my life. Approval Addiction by Joyce Meyers and now Prophet Arise.

Reading this book was like looking into a mirror. I am 36 years old and I have spent a good majority of those years trying to understand myself, accept myself, and make others understand and accept me. This book put my entire world in order. I now have an understanding of my gifts and why I "tick" like I do.

Am I a Prophet

Being a Prophet is,not something you think you are. You wonder why certain things happen and why it seems you're always,in the middle. This book gave me clarity.

Very good book for those who have a prophetic bent. It's written less like a traditional book, and is more of a collection of brief thoughts. Because of that, it has a lot of nuggets and is great as a resource to come back to, but is a bit tedious to read. That said, it's very good, and I really want to read his other book on the topic.
