Pour Your Heart Out

Chase Cade is as untethered as a kite without a string.

The minute she drives past the “Welcome to Maybelle” sign after six months traveling, she knows the quaint little town is something new entirely. It’s more than the good food and welcoming people -- with the exception of the gruff bartender she meets her first night out.

Aden Riveau couldn’t be more rooted in Maybelle if he were an actual tree.

In a town that caters to tourists, his bar is the only place the locals have all to themselves. Everyone knows him and he knows everyone, and nothing spoils his peace more than having to deal with nosy, gawking tourists who don’t stick around.

She’s only in Maybelle for a vacation, and he’s never taken a vacation in his life. He can’t stop thinking about how different she is, and she can’t stop trying to figure him out. But her reservation has an end, and his never will, unless he can find a way to pour his heart out.

Zoe writes contemporary romances and believed everyone will get extraordinary love stories since before she ever fell in love. She lives with her family near the mountains in Colorado, where she writes while listening to music, never drinks coffee, reads books in one sitting, and watches too many movies and tv shows. She’s been writing since she was a kid, but luckily she knows how grown-ups work now. Mostly.

**I received an ARC, in exchange for an honest review.**

Pour Your Heart Out, came to me by chance. I had actually seen it around. I loved this cover and the title. I pay little attention to blurbs. So I had really no idea what I was getting into.

This book had that real hometown feel. Like you were reading a Nicholas Sparks novel. That's really the only way I can think to describe it.

Chase has been traveling the world. And by chance she ends up in Maybelle during Fourth of July. There she meets a group of people and of course Aden. Aden is the hometown boy. He runs the bar Wild Harts. Has recently turned single. A really good thing, I think for Chase.

I normally don't like the third person writing style. But the way that Lee writes, it was so easy to read. She weaved the story perfectly. To the point where you weren't even paying attention to it.

I was surprised how emotionally involved I became with the characters. Chase is light hearted in meeting new people, she's a genuine person. Even though Aden is a bit of a grump, he's full of so many layers. Lee really is a great storyteller. You are able to feel that tension, the magnetic pull they have for each other.

Overall, I give this book Five Boundless Stars. It's a sweet, genuine, heartfelt story. That I find anyone could easily fall into....Lissa

I've always found small-town romances to be particularly charming. There's something in the way the characters interact—with years of history between them—that makes them feel warm. Almost intimate, in a way.

And that is what drew me to Pour Your Heart Out. In a lot of ways, it was exactly that. The friendships here, and the group that made up said friendships, were engaging and bantered so well—it was easy to enjoy, easy to like them all.

But—there was just a little something missing from this book that made it harder for me to connect with Chase, the traveller looking for peace and herself, and Aden, the bartender big on responsibility but not so big on change. With a slow burn romance that was, for me, a little too heavy on the slow, a little too light on the burn, Pour Your Heart Out wasn't quite what I'd hoped. The ending, although completely lovely, felt a touch rushed after the back-and-forth, and I couldn't help but think that I needed a bit more time to fall completely in the love with Aden and Chase.

Having said that, there is a sweetness and happiness here which is completely undeniable. Aden was a gruff, beta hero and although he was too soft and unsure at times, I loved that he was a bit different, a bit outside the romance box.

The town of Maybelle and the aforementioned friendships were also a highlight. Maybelle gives off something of a Stars Hollow vibe (which I dig, because GILMORE GIRLS, y'all), and it's certainly a small-town I'd like to revisit.

I'm quite looking forward to doing so—preferably soon—with Seth, with Dunk, with Jack, and Leda, and even Jesse. And perhaps those future trips will include some more time to get to know Aden and Chase—so I can finish falling in love. ~ Beth, 3.5 stars

I've been obsessed with small town romances lately and this book is a perfect example of why.

Sometimes I just need a sweet, easy read that provokes just enough emotion to make me feel but not so much that I'm drained afterwards. I love a good steamy novel but sometimes I need a little less sex and a little more substance.

This book was by no means fast paced but it didn't feel like it dragged on either. I think the speed of the story was perfect for the characters and the mood of the of it.

When two characters with opposite plans collide, watch the fireworks explode. Chase lived the tied down, planned out life and it wasn't for her, so she takes to traveling the world to see if she can figure out exactly who she is. When those travels take her to Maybelle she stumbles right into a group of friends with whom she quickly forms a friendship. Including the mostly grumpy, stubborn Aden who is so set in his ways, he doesn't have time to play nice with the tourists, no matter how much they get him going.

She won't stay and he won't leave but neither one of them can pretend that there isn't something there between them. What happens when they stop pretending?

This was an awesome debut and an incredible start of what I hope will be a multiple book series.

Pour Your Heart Out by Zoe Lee is a debut novel with tons of heart and soul. Setting up a series that is destined to be good; Pour Your Heart Out gave me all the sweet happy feels I look forward to with small town romances.

Chase is a world traveler and Aden is a local bar owner who loves his small town and the people in it. The two could not have more different lives and from the outside they look completely wrong for each other. And yet . Not only do the two constantly find themselves in each others company they are both growing to desire more of it which is magical and scary at the same time. Chase is passing through and Aden is here to stay, what could possibly come from this?

Zoe Lee gives us a quintessential small town romance with tons of small town charm and a large cast of characters I can’t wait to know more about. I have fallen hard for the people of Maybelle and I know you will too.

description

Books that when you read them make you feel as though you’re home.

I haven’t read nearly as many of those types of stories as I would like, but after coming across this author (and this book) by chance and giving this one a whirl, I can definitely say it’s something I want more of in the future.

This story, the feel that it had, even though this place is one I’ve never been to, or even heard of past this reading, felt like home for me. The people Chase has the pleasure of meeting (the stubborn, set in his ways hero, the funny best friend, the quirky sister etc) they all felt like family very early on. All of the characters bringing to this story, a sense of realness you wouldn’t expect from a fictional endeavor. Add in the locations and the view you get through Chase’s eyes being the tourist she is, well, it was as if I was there with them. A part of the places, the people, the very atmosphere itself.

I was quite literally transported from the real life I live in a huge megacity and implanted in a much slower paced town, complete with all of the things I would expect to make the town as rich as it was portrayed. There is family feuds, crazy parties and even crazier people. Nosy neighbours, loonie exes, you name it, this place had it. But what these characters and the town they all reside in had more than anything was heart. Which made this story incredibly hard to put down once I started.

Where Chase came in more open and friendly, we’ve got Aden on the other side. Settled in the town, content with the way things are, the last thing he wants is to get caught up with a tourist. The very person that could turn the entire world as he knows it on his axis. But turn it she does and caught up he does get. And while there were moments in this where I wanted to smack him with the very kindle I was reading on, I enjoyed the fact that he wasn’t easy. I enjoyed watching the different layers being peeled back until we see the real man buried deep underneath the hard persona he’s projecting to the word. Just as I found it equally as wonderful to witness Chase change as well. See her grow.

It made me believe in them as a couple and believe in the love you could so easily see them falling in despite their differences.

It was natural in its progression, no part rushed or glossed over. The drama present in its pages, real for who and what these characters were. In other words, just the right amount of it to make it work.

As far as debuts go, for this reader, the author knocked it straight out of the park. And with the family type feel that surrounded the love story within, I’m really hoping this isn’t the last time we see Chase and Aden. That it’s not the end of the line for the others. I would love to see how some of the other players in this story would fare with love stories of their own.

But no one more than Dunk (Duncan). I want to pick up and move to this town just so I can have that guy offer me a Popsicle. Lol (sorry Aden…your friend kinda hooked me hard!).

If you’re a fan of romances with low drama, but also ones that take their time materializing, and are also rich in detail and make you feel like you’re coming home, I think you’ll enjoy this. I know I sure as heck did and I can’t wait to see where the author takes us next.

My thanks to the author and all others involved in letting me read an early copy of this story. Aden and Chase’s journey one that I’m so thankful to have taken.

There is definitely something to be said for a debut author, it is fascinating taking that first peak into their imagination and seeing what they have come up with and if this, the first work by Zoe Lee is anything to go by I think we are all onto a winner because this is a super love story, most beautifully written.
The story brought a smile to my face, one that I really needed to feel and I couldn’t help but be captivated by the characters. They worked their way under my skin and claimed their own little piece of my soul.
Jaded by a life on the road, working the world so to speak, Chase has had enough, she is sick of the drudgery and sick of the job, so she does what any self-respecting free spirit is going to do, she quits her job and takes off, a chance, an opportunity to do what she wants for a while, to go exactly where she wants to go and to just be herself. But did she really expect to end up in Maybelle, Virginia?
Aden was everything his family tried not to be and that made him the most fabulous male character that I have read in a while, he was a good man, a quiet, shy man who was happy with his life and wasn’t looking for anything or anyone to add their tuppence worth. But then again he hadn’t met Chase before because once she lands in town he is barely able to tell which way is up. He is smitten but the way to her heart is far from plain sailing and much of the choppy water that he has to navigate is of his own doing, heck if he isn’t a master at putting his foot in it!
I love the conflict between their hearts and their heads, it was so obvious that even a blind man could have seen that they were fighting a losing battle but it was fun watching the two of them try to figure that out for themselves. They just had to realise the possibilities they had together.
This was two people who on paper would probably have never been a match but that in all reality couldn’t have been more perfect for each other. They were so good together that it would have been sinful for them not to have found their way.
The author worked her magic here, the setting was fabulous, the descriptions were stunning, the story was illuminating and the plethora of characters have me hanging on to the hope that we may just get a return visit to Maybelle in the very near future.

This book was fun, it was a great read, and it kept me interested. I loved it!

Chase is traveling. She loves it. When her friend sets her up in Maybelle, she encounters some wonderful locals, including Aden. After a few days there, she becomes their friend and starts to develop feelings for Aden.

He is so rough around the edges and craves the stability that he's created for himself. She enjoys life on the road - the travel and adventures.
After a string of misfires, they end up together and it's so sweet and perfect. When her time in Maybelle ends, he really screws the pooch. She leaves but he follows her. Swooooon! He tells her that he can't be without her. They do long distance and it works. They seem to balance each other incredibly well.
At the end of the book, I felt happy. I was happy for them. I wanted to reach out and touch their love.
An excellent novel from Zoe Lee. A solid FOUR stars.

Sweet book, with sweet characters.

Honestly, this was a quick read with a hint of sweetness all over the pages! Wanderlust and settlement meet to grow in a love that seems impossible, but you know what I say, everything is possible if you work for it.

Overall, I liked the book and was a fun read, a little of fresh air after some emotional books I was reading. Will continue to read more about what this author writes in a future.

Loved the description of the places Chase was visiting, and totally fell in love with Aden, oh I loved this couple! Wild and free meets someone who prefers being above the same roots since he was a baby, but that's good, unless you want to die of boringness. But Chase brought more light to Aden's life and more fun!!! She made him better and vice versa. I guess that's what love is about!

Wow what a refreshing contemporary romance, I thoroughly enjoyed it. The storyline was amazing and very well written and the characters Chase and Aden are what made the story even better. The characters where very relatable and loveable. Chase has just gotten out of a long relationship and has quit her job to go travelling where she meets Aden in Maybelle he is a grumpy, sexy tattooed bartender at a local pub. Their first encounter isn't your usual story book when sparks fly, it's more along the lines of an incovienence for    anyway. Lee has definitely put together a fantastic story, which I would love to read more of. In my opinion it needs to be a series. I want more of Chase and Aden.

Pour Your Heart Out is a debut novel by Zoe Lee. And for a first, it was very good. Hometown feel, sweet, and surprisingly hot at times.

A woman who loves to travel and a man attached to his town, a great bunch of friends, some amazing scenery places : welcome to Maybelle!! A small town where everybody knows everything about anyone, where community, family and legacy are important.

I really enjoyed the pace of the story, with this quietness and making you feel at home.

Through the eyes of Chase Cade, this woman who loves to travel and blogging about it, the town was revealing the beautiful places but mostly their residents, all lovely and welcoming expected for one bartender … Aden Riveau, the sexy bartender, who wasn’t falling for her.

First encounters matter and well, between these two … Hot and cold. Mixed feelings and awkward situations. When she was at ease with everyone, Aden made her feel totally uncomfortable.

I was getting into the flow, discovering this town, Aden's crazy friends and waiting to see where this story was gonna lead me.

The parallelism between the main characters, trying to find their happiness was really interesting, the third narrating person was great and I really appreciated to have the dual POV. Even if the relationship between Chase and Aden took a little time, when the author decided to go faster, I was pleasantly and delightfully surprised. Just a little smuttier than I thought! Well done.

If I have to choose a favorite part in this story, it would be the last part, when all the characters had a part on Chase and Aden’s HEA! Well written and so entertaining. I had a good time reading Zoe Lee’s debut novel. Just made me smile. Can't wait to read the next ones.

Solid debut small town standalone romance between a local man and a woman travelling around to find her happiness in life

Pour Your Heart Out is a solid debut small town romance that borders on a hate to love theme between these two strangers after the female ends up in the small tow while travelling around. This is a fairly heavy, angsty build-up romance and things only heat up between the two characters towards the end of the book. Also, while the book time frame is fairly short, the pace is slow in terms of the characters getting to know each other.

Told in third person from dual perspectives, Chase and Aden do have a good chemistry from the beginning which can be seen despite their disagreements. While the book is angsty throughout with the two characters dealing with personal issues that shape them presently, there are a few light hearted sweet moments thrown in too. I will admit, while there was a good chemistry to the characters, if I’m honest I did struggled o warm up to the characters initially. Not entirely sure why but I just felt they were quite cold emotionally and cut off and while I could see why this was done for the characters at times, just couldn’t fully connect with them. However, I didn’t let that put me off because they were reasonably likeable and through the many various sub-characters used, it helped to develop the two main characters further.

Pour Your Heart Out is well written, especially when compared to so many debuts out there. It was clearly well thought out and had lots of description to fill in the history of the two characters so the reader gets to understand their personalities and the plot. It can be read as a standalone as it has a HEA for Chase and Aden, with an epilogue cementing the HEA and tying up things.

Overall, this is a well written small town romance between a local man and a traveller who are both unknowingly searching for what will make them truly happy after carrying the burdens of their lives for so long. I would recommend it.

For a debut novel, it was a really great start for the author. I really enjoyed reading the story. We meet Chase that is travelling around the world, leaving behind everything she worked for and trying to find herself again. She goes to a small town her best friend heard about and is there for some vacation time. Chase not only catches glimpses of the beautiful place but also meets Aden, who grew up there and runs a bar together with his family. Sparks fly and both try not to give in to their attraction... Even though Chase will be gone after a week, she can't seem to stay away and neither can Aden. She slowly falls in love with the town and maybe, just maybe, she gets more than she wanted...
Will they have a chance for romance, or will it be just an attraction?

Pour Your Heart Out is charming, captivating love story that will warm your heart and soul.

Chase Cade is world traveler, blog, and a lost soul. After years of hard work and a job she heated, she quit everything and choose to travel to all the places she's always wanted to see. Her lasted trip takes her to the small town of Maybelle, Virginia. But this a place unlike any she's been before.

Aden Riveau is the "black sheep" of the family, the one without the wild side his family is known for. He's quite and reserved, content with the life he has. But a sexy stranger just walked into his life, turning everything upside down. The more he tries to fight the growing sexual tension, the more he puts his foot in his mouth.

Will these two ever find a way to stop butting head and see the connection they share is true and can change their world?

I really enjoyed this book with its small town charm and genuine heartwarming love story. What Chase and Aden maneuver through the pitfalls of getting to know each other while not knowing what the future will hold since Chase is only a "tourist" passing through. Aden's quite nature makes him say and do the wrong thing nine times out of ten. You can't help but feel for him, it's always easy getting to know someone when you're shy. And the sexual tension flows off the pages keeping you on the edge of your seat guessing will they or won't they.

If you are looking for a little less heat combined with a lot of heart, than Pour Your Heart Out is just for you. You will get pulled in with the attraction between Chase and Aden and the delightful cast of characters that live in the enchanting small town of Maybelle.

I hate to admit this, but I’ve been sitting on this book for months. It was one of those, I’m going to read that, and then things would go up in the air and I didn’t have a chance to. I’m very happy to say I finally got to it.

Pour Your Heart Out is the first novel I’ve read by Zoe Lee. It is a contemporary, stand-alone romance told from an alternative third person POV between the main characters. It does have an HEA and no, there isn’t any cheating.

I pretty much fell in love with the writing in this book from the get-go. Ms. Lee does a fantastic job with keeping you in the moment. It also doesn’t have a ton of random inner dialogue that doesn’t go with the story. I appreciate that beyond belief.

There was a really great dynamic between the main characters. It wasn’t the typical insta-love, insta-attraction. I mean, yeah, they noticed but it took more than one meeting. It made it feel real to me. You have a really grumpy hero, and a tourist heroine. They butt heads, and they miscommunicate, and there were times I had to wonder if the hero were really interested at all. Prickly, that’s what I’d call them both, but strong in their own ways.

You also have great co-stars in the book, ones who you don’t know if they’ll get a story too, but they are interesting enough to make you want to know about them as well. The hero has a large group of friends that have all grown up together, and they sort of adopt the heroine, much to the hero’s chargin it seems.

An extremely enjoyable 4 star to 4.5 star read and one I’d definitely hand to someone and say read it.

I absolutely loved this fun, heartfelt sweet romance!
A great debut novel for this author and I'm looking forward reading more from her.
This is the story of Chase, living out of a suitcase, traveling the world trying to find herself. When she visits a small town a friend recommended, the last thing she expected was to fall for someone. She's only there for 1 week. But after meeting Aiden, she begins to feel things she didn't expect to feel and she starts to reconsidering her plan of not setting roots. Is this real love or just a casual fling...

**ARC provided for honest review** I enjoyed this one- I was really surprised to read that this was a debut novel for Zoe Lee! Her writing is fabulous and really painted a good picture of small town life. Chase was doing what I wished I had done as a single girl- taking some trips, doing some exploring, figuring out who she was. The banter among Maybelle resident Adan and his friends was delightful, and believable. This was a quick read for me, one I didn't want to put down. I hope to read more from Lee in the future!

A woman seeking wonderlust and adventure.

A man who hates change and is not a fan of tourists.

Put them together and you have the makings of one interesting story.

There on recommendation by her best friend, Chase Cade takes a vacation in the charming little tourist town of Maybelle, Virginia. A town filled with lively locals, scandalous small town gossip, and spirited celebrations. It’s a place where everyone knows everyone and you can’t take a step in the wrong direction without your mother hearing about it a few hours later. And know matter how many times you say you are going to leave and never come back, something or someone comes along and reminds you why you love the town in the first place.

Chase, who is a big city California girl, expects this to be just like her other travel experiences. Where she’s there to explore everything the town has to offer then pack her bags and move on to her next adventure. However, she doesn’t expect to fall head over heels for the charismatic town and the people in it.

I really loved how Zoe Lee captured all the elements of a small town. From the snooty snobs that think they are the hottest thing since the microwave was invented, to the lifelong friendships that are formed at birth, the setting as a whole was completely on point. It painted a very relaxing tone for the novel and made me want to visit the small town nestled between three lakes. The easy lighthearted banter between old friends made it easy to enjoy and almost effortless to fall in love with each character.

But… Even though I did love the setting, characters, and romantic story line I felt like there were certain elements missing that made it hard to emotionally connect with Chase and Aden. While the option for an angsty build up was present, it fell short in that area because it was lacking the heat and passion of a slow burning romance, and the sweet and tender moments of caring relationship. However, the ending was sweet and magical, a little rushed, but left you with a lighthearted smile and butterflies fluttering in your stomach. I got the feeling that the two could possibly get another book because, to me, their story didn’t seem completely finished.

*Fingers crossed*

Pour Your Heart Out is a quick laid-back debut novel about two people who found love in the most unexpected places in the most unexpected people. And while I did enjoy the book, it was missing that pulse pounding slow burn for me to be fully invested in Chase and Aden’s story! I am so looking forward to reading the next Zoe Lee novel!

Title: Pour Your Heat Out
Author: Zoe Lee
Series: standalone
Genre: new adult
Themes: opposites attract
Heat: 2/5
Rating: 3/5

Flings were part of the fantasy of traveling: being pulled by attraction to veritable strangers for hours or days, totally outside their real worlds.

This was a wonderfully impressive debut from author Zoe Lee, particularly deep and thoughtful. Lee's world-building skills are already extraordinarily developed, crafting an entire cast of complex characters and relationships, and a town, and describing them fabulously to the reader.

This was a very strong love story working within the framework of the 'opposites attract' theme, and I really did find that I very quickly formed emotional attachments to Chase and Aden, and even a surprising amount to the supporting cast.

However, despite these excellent aspects, I found the pacing just too slow for my liking, with very little happening for much of the story, and the angst-filled moments concluding too quickly. There was just too much detail on the mundane, which although can work in moderation, just became a little tedious for me towards the end.

I also wasn't a huge fan of the third person narrative, particularly in this novel where I feel that a first person narrative from Chase was all that would really have been necessary, maintaining the mystery and grouchy nature of Aden. With the third person, although we as readers got to know Chase and Aden extremely well, it felt like these bits were missing from their communication with one another.

"All I need, when you go or I leave you, is a promise you'll be back."

Overall, a strong debut from an author to watch, just let down slightly by its slow pacing and lack of focus.

The Best Parts:
This story is so strong and sweet, and is something that you can drown yourself in. Chase and Aden’s story is one that you haven’t read before. It isn’t your traditional where they can’t stay away form each other. In fact they want nothing to do with each other, but then again fate has another thing in store for them.

It’s fun and sassy, and will make you want to smack someone so damn hard lol. The town of Maybelle is one that I fell in love with, just like Chase did. These characters are ones that you can connect so easily to you, and you will fall in love with all of them. I love how this town brought Chase into their lives and treated her as one of their own, it makes the situation with Aden that much better.

The Worst Parts:
Aden is an idiot. That is probably my biggest thing with this book. He is a little too much of one. I’ve had guys do and say stupid things, but every damn time that boy opens his mouth I want to staple it shut. I do like it though when we are in his head we get to see what he is trying to say, but NONE of what he thinks actually comes out of his mouth. Idiot.

Final Thoughts:
This was such a strong debut novel from Zoe. This book keeps you on your toes, but still let’s you drown in that small town love. I am desperate to see if we are going to get any spin off stories! I LOVE Dunk, Jack, and Seth <3

Pour Your Heart Out was a wonderful debut for Zoe Lee!
Generally speaking, my library is filled with reads of more sex than substance but once in a while a book like Pour Your Heart Out comes along, grabs me by the throat and hangs on tight. It was a beautifully written, highly descriptive love story that developed slowly over the pages - there was no sense of rush. I liken it to making yeast bread. If you can just be patient for it to rise and work its magic... ohhhh... its so worth the wait. That is exactly how Chase and Aden's story felt to me. Like a slow burn, a slow rising up, if you will, of the chemistry between these two characters. Chase the freebird and Aden the anchor. The fact that the author actually took the time to sweat out and develop these characters as well as she did (plus the secondary characters - im looking at you Dunk) really added to the depth of the story for me. Also the backdrop and scenery of the town of Maybelle was a great setting for the book.
I highly recommend Pour Your Heart Out to anyone looking for a slow, sweet love story that will stay with you after you have finished the book! Zoe Lee has created some memorable characters and I hope she continues on with this series.

This book is a funny, charming and loveable story. Its about Chase Cade, a corporate lawyer who, one day, quit her job and broke up with her boyfriend, and travel to different places in the world to find whatever she is looking for. After six months of travelling, her bestfriend Sunny recommended a little town called Maybelle where everyone knows everyone. There she met some nice people and wandered off to the town’s local bar. And there she met Aden Riveau, the co-owner and bartender. I think he should be called Mr. Grumpy who doesn’t smile at all.

Opposites attract? Since Chase is a free-spirited woman, she sort of intimidated Aden when they met each other. Especially that Aden never set foot outside Maybelle in his whole life, sort of a stuck-in-the-mud kind of person. He hates change and hates to be bothered by tourist who will eventually leave their town. Surprisingly, they are attracted to each other.

I really envy Chase for leaving everything to search the world for her answer. Little did she know, she will find it in a little town called Maybelle.

A copy was given to me in exchange for an honest review.

Verdict: 4.5/ 5 stars!

4.5 Stars for this great book.

Ms Lee is a new author to me and she has blown me away. This book was a one sitting read because it was so entertaining.

I loved all the characters, their personalities, the banter, the comradeship and the love.
Aden a little troubled runs into Chase Cade while she is vacationing in his small hometown community. Both coming from troubled paths and starting to have some feelings for each other things start to come together.

This is a fun little read with lots of humor, amazing characters all of them and just very well written that it grabs you and you literally flow through the whole book,,it was an amazing story and everyone needs a nice romance in their lives and this is it.

I enjoyed the small town feel of this book and all the local characters and I feel there is a lot of potential for future books with them, but I just didn’t connect with Chase or Aden and I really didn’t feel their story. Honestly, I was confused a lot throughout this book. I just didn’t get a lot of the story and why they were always getting mad at one another. It moves at an extremely slow pace for me and I felt a lot of things were left out, such as why Chase felt the need to quit a fantastic job and leave her boyfriend. It’s mentioned a time or two about her leaving the aforementioned, but never really explained, at least not in my eyes. Overall, it’s not a bad read and most will probably love it, but I just couldn’t get into it.
