Margaret Maxfield is getting married and Zachary Parker is the man of honor. Going to the wedding would mean seeing Tristan Maxfield again after all these years. His teenage crush had turned into longing through the years and this may be his one chance to be with Tristan, his father’s best friend and partner. Margaret’s father.
When Tristan sets eyes on Zach for the first time in five years, he is confused at the feelings of attraction for the young man. Despite the eventual fallout over their affair, he decides to make a move.
Will Tristan and Zach’s forbidden love ever find a happily ever after?
I am a wife, mother and blogger by day, a writer by night. It can be difficult to say the least but it is a challenge that keeps me on my toes. I grew up listening to folk tales my father and nannies told either to entertain us children or to send home a message. These narratives I kept with me and finally I wrote them down in a journal way back when I kept one. Going through junk led to a long forgotten box and in it was the journal. Reading over the stories of romance, science fiction and horror I had taken time to put to paper, brought to light that these were tales I never met in my readings. The tales I write are fictional but all of them are based on what I grew up with and still dream about. That they have an M/M twist is simply for my pleasure. And I hope, yours as well.
I loved this story and the chemistry between Zach and Tristan was intense as was the sex. I love when an older and younger man find love because age is just a number. I loved how they helped each other when it came to telling their loves ones.
This is one sweet, hot, and sexy tale about a young man who, after years of waiting, finally gets the courage to go after who and what he wants. Nothing-not the bitter ex, the disapproval of family and friends, or the large age gap is going to keep him from claiming the man of his dreams.
Zach Parker’s best friend, Margaret Maxfield, is getting married, and he’s to be the man of honor. But that’s not what has him stirred up, excited, and scared – all at the same time. No, it’s the thought of seeing Margaret’s dad again. Zach has been in love with Tristan Maxfield forever. As a kid, he set his desires in the category of never gonna happen. But so much has happened, including Tristan and Amanda’s divorce, as well as Tristan coming out of the closet. That is a definite game changer. Not to mention, it’s been five years since he’s set eyes on the man.
Zach wants to be with Tristan so badly he can’t stand it. But what about the repercussions? What will Margaret and her brothers say if they do hook up? Zach practically grew up with them. Not to mention that Tristan and Zach’s dad are best friends and partners in the very successful law firm where Zach plans to work some day. Will Zach’s parents accept his feelings for Tristan, considering the big difference in their ages, and who Tristan is to them?
Tristan has always liked Zach, but seeing him after five years… something just clicks inside of him, a feeling he can’t describe. Yes, he wants Zach, but it’s more than that. And just when he has decided to label himself as a perv, he realizes the feeling is mutual. Should he act upon it? This book is about a romance that many in society frown on because of the age difference between the two people involved. But age is just a number. And being close in age is no guarantee of anything. I loved these two guys from the beginning and was rooting for them to get together on a permanent basis. They are so hot and sweet and romantic. The sex scenes are also very hot, and the author has a very smooth, enjoyable voice. The ex-wife is a true witch and a major…. Well, let’s just say she sleeps around a lot and leave it at that. And word to the wise – don’t mess with Zach’s mom or the people she loves. She will mess you up! lol
I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the next one.
A fast paced romance with a May/December theme. Zach and Tristan, though they have ages between them they also find true love. The story shows the pressures they come up against and still has the ability to make it a light romance, which is nice. Finally, delivering a HEA, with a dose of drama, the book concludes with a HEA. Enjoyable characters with an engaging storyline.

Older man, younger man, and some sweet, hot and sexy times. I loved the chemistry between these two - and that the age gap, a drunk and abusive ex, and disapproving family didn't stop them finding happiness.
Zach has had a crush on his best friend Margaret's father, Tristan, since he was a teenager. He 's been away for five years but is back to be Margaret's man of honor. He sees Tristan and he knows he still wants him but can he get Tristan to feel the same way. I really enjoyed this book.
Loved this age gap love story. It nice to see Zach all grown up and going after what he wants. Both men had a little drama to over come to be together. But it was a nice story.

This was more about the wedding than the romance and there was way too much focus on the evil, alcoholic, ugly* ex-wife. As much as I love the dad's friend -trope, I have limits. *Yes, her unattractiveness and her supposed 'obliviousness' to it were described more than once.
This was a wonderful book. It didn't seem rushed. This was sweet and steamy, full of romance and passion with great characters that were interesting enough to draw you in.
