A Kickstarter book from an independent writer/artist. That sounds as if it could go both ways, but this one is a rewarding read. I'm sure I'll pull it down in a few years and re-read it and love it more, noticing details again. The -almost- 9 panel per page format fits a lot in and the black and white art helps keep my interest - and then we get other colours introduced with a purpose. The story tastes a bit like a detective investigating a town's murder a la Wicker Man. No phone signal, autopsies handled with no urgency, assistants who live in the place who know everyone. We meet local characters along the way and the ending works well too.
