A highly skilled Captain assembles a crew and heads out to the deepest end of the ocean to capture a mysterious creature. The Captain realizes quickly that bringing the creature to shore will be no easy task. The vigilantes are soon faced with devastating weather and a fight they may soon regret. From the authors of A Vampire Journal comes a story about how deadly the ocean can really be.
This creative story pulls the reader in and provides amazing mental visuals, mental noise effects, and an overwhelming urge to sweep the characters to safety. With sci-fi/fantasy, an author's job is to take the readers into pretend worlds and make the unbelievable realistic. Bobby Collins and Jimmy Starr have succeeded! I may never see the ocean the same, again, for fear of this...thing. (Thanks, guys!) I recommend this quick, easy, yet intense read to anyone who likes vivid stories that pull you through the pages and leaves you having had an experience. (I can still visualize this monster!) Great short story! Check it out!
This is one of the best horror short stories I have ever read....great plot, great writing, I can see why Collins and Star won the Charles Dickens award for best short story for their Belladonna book. Amazing and should be turned into a Hollywood Blockbuster....
