USA Today bestselling author Kira Archer lives in Pennsylvania with her hubs and two kids. And 3 ridiculous cats. She's one of those people who laughs at inappropriate moments (especially overly emotional occasions like weddings or funerals), and she has an insanely overactive imagination which is great when she's writing but not so great when she's shutting all the lights off at night and then has to go up the stairs. She has a PhD in Procrastination (or would if there was such a thing and there soooo should be because she's seriously at expert level here). And if she's not writing, she's reading, or thinking about reading or writing. And running her kids around because they are busy and she's the taxi driver. She also writes historical romances as Michelle McLean.

Kira Archer has done it again – written a highly entertaining romance with great characters, humorous interactions, plenty of twists and turns and that oh so important HEA ending – but not until there have been lots of diversions en route!

Jenny is back home for a month from studying at a Parisian culinary school. She’s determined to have fun and is even more tempted when the handsome hunk, Jared Crew, literally lands in her lap! He recognises Jenny from his best friend’s wedding and knows she should be off limits as that friend would not appreciate Jared making any moves on her. However, temptation, attraction and hormones galore mean these two are mutually attracted and things between them soon get hot and steamy. That’s when reality steps in with a condom breaking wake up call! What should these two do now?

Both main characters are fun and grow in maturity during the story. I admit didn’t like Jenny’s somewhat judgemental attitude regarding Jared at some points in the story, especially how, whilst she acknowledged that she was prepared to change her life and ambitions, she assumed Jared would be unable or unwilling to do so. I like how the author revealed that Jared’s overt attitudes and behaviours actually hid and protected his more emotional, sensitive nature. I also enjoyed how they both developed because of their relationship. Get ready for some amazing descriptions of culinary treats in this light-hearted and heart warming story with plenty of laugh out loud encounters and touching moments interspersed throughout the drama, making it a highly entertaining read that I have no hesitation in recommending.

I requested and was given a copy of this book via NetGalley and this is my honest opinion after choosing to read it.

Jenny Boyd has decided to come home for the summer over her school break in Paris to have sort of working vacation helping out in the bakery at home. When she gets back though Jenny goes out for a night of fun and runs into the sexy Jared Crew and one thing leads to another between the pair but what Jenny doesn't realize is she already knew Jared and he's not just a sexy stranger.

Jenny and Jared are both young and commitment phobic free spirits but after their wild night together they have a bit of a scare that brings them to take a look at how they lead their lives. Working and spending time together while they wait for answers the two form a bond but will this wild and carefree pair be ready to mature and grow together?

Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely was a very interesting idea to write a story around. As much as most romance and/or erotic books these days include promoting protection in today's society there is always the chance that things just may go wrong and with today's free spirited relationships this could lead to bigger problems.

This book probably would have made a five star read for me with the different twist on a relationship forming but it came down to the one thing that bothers me with romance reads. Our main character just has to have that last moment of angst and jumping to conclusions when for the most part both of the pair had been pretty level headed until then. I'm not quite sure why women in stories always have to jump to conclusions because it certainly portrays them in a bad light.

Overall, this was an enjoyable read that while still on the light side our couple tackles a big dilemma that brings them together.

I received an advance copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

I've enjoyed some of Kira's other books and I love that cover, so I quickly requested without reading the synopsis. Admittedly, if I would have read it, I'm not sure I would have...kids aren't my thing.

Thankfully, Jenny and Jared are both fun characters. They have a boatload of chemistry and the banter was delightful. And I loved seeing the couples from the previous books.

When the waiting period started, it got a bit dramatic. Jenny was rightfully thinking some of the things, but I hated that she decided what Jared's reactions to everything would be. I hated that she was so prepared to change her life that she couldn't fathom the idea that he would as well.

Overall, it was a quick cute read. I would have loved just a bit more from the ending, but the grand gesture was perfect and I'm just being greedy.

MY RATING: 2.75/5

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a bit tricky. It wasn't a bad book that deserves a really low rating but it also wasn't a good enough book to reach the coveted average rating of 3/5 stars in my records.

Let's get into why I gave this rating. First of all, we have two characters are that flirty with each other but lacking the intensity and heat I wanted. There was no yearning between our heroine and hero but simply but just flirty exchange of words and quirks. In addition, the characters were forgettable. Jenny is a pastry/dessert chef, determined to succeed in the world with her business and she doesn't need Jared to barge in and make her life more complicated than it already is.

Between baking a cake on a last minute request, Jared and Jenny hook up and the biggest problem that comes across for both of them is that the condom breaks and suddenly, their relationship may become a little bit more permanent than expected. Jenny uses her fear of being pregnant as reason to criticize Jared and it was just strengthening the reasons why I don't think they should be together. Or like even after the happily ever after, they won't last.

But anyways, I'm not going to spoil everything for readers so if you're curious to why I think this way...

Read it.

MY RECOMMENDATION:

Don't walk into this book with high expectations.

Jenny is happy she finally has a bit freedom. She's studying in Paris to become a pasty chef, but she's back home for the summer. She's found work at a bakery, so things couldn't be more perfect. She also has time to party again and that's exactly what she's doing when she meets Jared. They know each other, but Jenny doesn't seem to remember him. She's his best friend's sister-in-law and she's actually off-limits, only Jared can't resist stealing a few intimate dances.

Jared is a graphic designer and as he works freelance. That's why it's no problem to help out at his friends' bakery for a few weeks, so they can go on holiday. He's pleasantly surprised when he discovers he and Jenny will be working there together. There's so much attraction between they can't stay away from each other, but what's supposed to be fun turns into something serious very quickly. Will Jenny's summer be filled with free and happy times, like she expected, or will she end up with a broken heart?

Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely is a delicious romantic story. Jared is amusing, flirty and extrovert. He doesn't seem to take anything seriously, but his personality also has a deeper emotional layer that I really liked. Jenny loves having a good time and during her summer she learns a lot about herself. She's talented and capable and maybe the future has more in store for her than parties and meaningless hookups. Meeting Jared has turned her whole world upside down. Jenny and Jared are dazzling together and their chemistry is fantastic. I loved reading about this cute and special couple.

I always applaud it when the heroines of a story are strong and independent. Kira Archer knows how to make her women fierce. It's what I love the most about her books. Her main characters are outspoken and they aren't afraid to be themselves. What I also like is the way she makes her settings come to life. She writes about the bakery in such a vivid way that I could almost taste the cupcakes. I love the cheerfulness of the place and the close way everyone works together. The easy friendship, playful banter and funny mix-ups are what's making this series great. I truly enjoy reading Kira Archer's mouthwatering Sweet Love stories.

3 stars -- I received a free copy through NetGalley in exchange for an honest and unbiased review/opinion.

*sigh* There were a lot of things going for this book, not the least of which was the fun banter between Jared and Jenny. But in the end, I just wasn't captivated. Now if I can just figure out why.

OK, on the good side is Jared. I thoroughly enjoyed his charming, flirtatious, playboy self. He was hilarious when he was trying to be all charming with everyone, and he was just playful and adorable. I even enjoyed his interactions with Gina (his sort of best friend, and SIL of Jenny). He just felt like the definition of incorrigible.

On the less good side was Jenny. As you can tell from the blurb, there is a pregnancy scare. And while Jenny and Jared basically have the same view on life and relationships (ie fun and casual), when it comes down to the possibility of a baby, Jenny does not give Jared the benefit of the doubt. She can see herself changing, but she basically assumes Jared won't, despite what I thought was a lot of evidence to the contrary. So I was not impressed with her. Jared may have needed to grow up, but it was a lot of pot and kettle if you know what I mean. And she was not very nice in her assessment of him. So in the end, I just didn't really like her that much. I also didn't get a great feel for who she was, sometimes she felt like a caricature, but that could be me. I seem to be having a problem with my heroines lately, and while I have no problems with a casual fling kind of girl, I just didn't feel that depth from her...like she was trying to be too many things and...you know what, I have no idea. Just didn't work for me.

Not that there weren't things I *did* like about her -- there were! I loved how she went for what she wanted, and how bold she was with Jared...I was like "you go girl!" And I really enjoyed how she wanted to work hard at her job and how invested she was in her future. It was more just that maybe b/c she was at this crossroads, I didn't fully get all of the different aspects of her. *sigh* Whatever. It's probably just me.

I was intrigued by the other characters. I'm not sure if I was enough to want to read their stories though...this author just might not be the best fit for me. Not when I have so much else on my plate.

And most of that would have probably had it at a 3.5 stars, but then the ending just kind of hit and we were done. I needed an epilogue or something. I know, greedy greedy, but what can I say? I like to see where things are going.

In the end this book was worth it just for the Jared adorableness. No regrets.

“Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely” is book 3 in the Sweet Love series by Kira Archer. The books are set in and around a bakery, and if there is anything I love as much as romance, it may be cooking. Plus, isn’t the cover so fun and pretty?

The Story-
Jenny is home from Paris on a break from culinary school for the summer and will be helping to run her friend’s bakery while the owners are on their honeymoon. Jenny has always been a bit of a wild card, and while she gives lip service to laying low this summer, almost immediately she meets a hottie that makes her want to revert to her old ways. Jared is also a player, and when his best friend’s kid sister comes back to town to work in very close proximity to him, it will be a challenge to resist the temptation she presents.

My Thoughts-
Both of these people are a little too young and haphazard for my taste. I felt like I was reading about the hot people from high school who finally get scared enough to face reality because of a hook-up. I had some trouble identifying with the main character because she was so confident and a bit judgmental toward the hero. I liked the secondary characters, which makes me think that I might like the rest of the series better than I liked this one.

The Good-
This was a fun read that provided a nice weekend break. I especially enjoyed all the scenes having to do with the bakery and the sweets. The writing was good, and the plot clicked along well.

The Bottom Line-
While I didn’t particularly connect with the characters, I liked the setting of the bakery and will be trying out at least one more book from this series. Perhaps this is more geared to someone in their early twenties. As a mom who has been married for over 15 years, the problems just made me feel like an older sister who wanted to sit the heroine down and give her advice. 3 ½ stars

I enjoyed this one so much! The story was fun, sweet, and definitely sexy. Jenny Boyd is in town with a month off from the culinary school she attends in France. Looking for a little fun and games during her downtime, Jared Crew seems like the perfect partner in crime. He's a carefree, go with the flow kind of guy. Since they both shared the no commitments philosophy there are no worries about getting too serious. That is until things get real serious real fast!

A very entertaining read that everyone should enjoy. I highly recommend it.

It definitely justifies the name of the series it belongs since this has SWEETNESS written all over it. And then some more. Add some swooning too and you got the perfect treat.

Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely is the third installment in the Sweet Love series and it can be read as a standalone, though there are some teasers/spoilers about the couples in the previous books. And since I’m a weird human being as it is, I decided by mistake to start the series backwards. It’s actual fun! :p So, for those who don’t know what this book is about, here it go the basics: Jenny, Rick’s sister from the second book, comes back home for a short vacation after studying two years abroad. She’s a real party animal and her first night out, she meets her other-half party animal; Jared Crew. They end up hooking up at some point but a condom “bang” puts them in a unexpected whirlwind. So, now, they have to figure out how they will deal with whatever shows the pregnancy test.

“If the crazy wants to come out and play, I’m going to let it.”

Both Jenny and Jared, as I mentioned above, are complete party animals and have a bit of an allergy on commitments and responsibilities. And they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. They are free spirits, love to live in the now and are the masters of their own universes. Their attraction is instant and undeniable. But, they aren’t complete strangers in the night. Jenny’s first night out ends “badly” but not without leaving some red-hot kisses and an breathing craving behind. And that’s what starts their race. Moment after moment that Life gets them together overflows with sizzling passion and a powerful love that grows even stronger as they go on.

Making her smile had become one of the highlights of his day, and there wasn’t much he wouldn’t do to keep it on her face.

I beyond loved every minute of reading it. The story and the characters had me from the first moment and the connection they all shared turned me into a muss inside. Even though the story didn’t unfold as I was expecting to after reading the blurb, what actually happened was more than amazing and gratifying. And that only made it more beautiful and precious.

I have come across Archer’s books before but I never had the time to get on with them. Each and every one has a hidden beauty that awaits to be discovered and I couldn’t be more happy that I got to unlock Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely‘s. Thank you Kira for that! And I hope there is a next book where there would be parts of Jenny and Jared since the gorgeous last chapter had me craving more of them. Their 180 turn deserves more than one book! Their 180 turn deserves more than one book! But as I’m waiting hoping for that, I’m gonna meet the other two major couples of the story.

Two people, both allergic to commitment, meet up at a bar. The attraction is intense and obviously leading toward one hot night together. There are some complications though.

Jenny, home for a month from her Paris pastry school, is visiting her brother, Rick, and his wife, Gina, and will be working at Sweet Treats Bakery with Gina while she's there. She's having a girls' night out and, determined to behave for once, tells her friend, Gretchen, to rein her in if it seems she might revert back to her usual ways while dancing with tall, sexy, and gorgeous. A man that looks somewhat familiar, but she can't place him.

Jared, hanging out with his friends for some relaxation and drinks, remembers Jenny. They met at Rick and Gina's wedding and while Jared was aware of Jenny the whole night, he also received the do not touch my sister warning from Rick, one he reluctantly adhered to.

At dinner the next night with his best friend, Eric, and his wife, Nat (see book one, Truly, Madly, Sweetly) and Rick and Gina (see book two, Totally, Sweetly, Irrevocably), Jared is happy to see Jenny again. He hasn't stopped thinking about her and, even though he knows he shouldn't due to Rick, he wants to continue where they left off. Jenny, upon seeing him again realizes now why he looked so familiar, but still can't stop herself from wanting to enjoy some time with him.

Jared and Jenny get their chance to spend time together when Eric and Nat announce their pregnant and, thanks to a gift from his parents, are leaving for vacation for a few weeks. What this means is they need Jared to help oversee everything, as he has done before, and since Jenny is already there, they'll have a chance to get to know each other.

Their attraction continually grows and it isn't long before they succumb to temptation. They also both realize, without admitting it to each other, that one night is not going to be enough, they want more. They just didn't expect that more to come in the form of a broken condom.

Will Jared and Jenny, both having always avoided commitment, give a relationship a chance? If so, is it for the right reasons? Or only because of the possible result of the product failure? What happens when Rick finds out? Will Jenny return to Paris, leaving Jared and any possibility of a future with him, baby or not, behind? Will Jared start realizing everything in his life is temporary and start making changes to show Jenny he truly wants the long-term with her? Is their a HEA in store for them?

One-click now to find out what happens when play time is over and these two have to start adulting.

Now on a personal note, I loved the first two books. This one, I liked it and yet, I didn't. So since I'm torn on how to do this review, I'll break from my usual style and categorize what I liked versus what I didn't.

What I liked: That both characters have a promiscuous past, as opposed to it only being the guy, as is usually the case. I also like how the possibility of a baby becoming a part of their lives made both of them mature a little and realize they needed more out of life. I like how once Jared saw Jenny that night at the bar, any interest in other women left and all he could see, could think about, was her.

What I didn't like: As I stated above, both Jared and Jenny have previously indulged in numerous random hookups with a variety of people in the past. However, it seemed as if Jared's was more in our face than Jenny's. I'll give one example of this...Jared admittedly had a crush on a regular customer, Anna, at Sweet Treats who essentially paid him no attention. Now, as he sees her again after meeting Jenny, he questions what he ever saw in her because in his eyes she pales in comparison. Now with that being said, he makes a bet with Jenny on whether or not he can get Anna's phone number. What in the heck? You just made out with Jenny, want to be intimate with her, and yet now you're flirting with another woman and trying to get her number and bets on it with Jenny. Oh and if he wins, Jared gets another taste of Jenny. Yeah, let's involve another woman so that he can kiss Jenny again. This is so idiotic and completely unnecessary. So Anna becomes a focal point, for some reason, of the story because Jared, to win the bet and attention for the bakery, offers their services to make Anna's sister's wedding cake. Now Anna texts and calls him at various times throughout the remainder of the story and he seemingly jumps whenever she does. Even when one of those calls is the morning after he and Jenny spent the night making love, the same night the condom broke. Why? Just why? Also, in front of Jenny, he's flirting with women customers. I get that some people are just friendly by nature, but there is a difference, especially when the woman you're sleeping with, or want to, has a front row seat to your flirtations. It was disrespectful to Jenny and I don't understand how she didn't junk punch him for it. And last but not least, I will also mention that, as we're made aware of in book two, Jared and Gina, due to a lot of alcohol one night prior to her marriage to Rick, made out with Jared. We are never given the extent of it because neither remember it, they just assume they had sex. So yeah, Jenny will now spend the rest of her life with Jared, never knowing for sure either way whether her sister-in-law had sex with him. (Psst..Gina told her.) I know this happened before he met Jenny, but what woman wants to live with that? I hate when those type of connections are included. They're unnecessary and no one, man or woman, wants a permanent reminder in their lives like that of a previous lover in their significant other's past.

A sweet story!

I was really looking forward to Jenny's story after reading her big brother's ( Totally, Sweetly Irrevocably ) and seeing all of the mayhem she managed to cause there. And the Jenny of the first few chapters didn't disappoint. Their meet (meet again, technically) cute was especially entertaining:
He was even hotter closer up. Who was she to turn away a gorgeous man who introduced himself with his face in her lap? That would be rude.
Both Jenny and Jared are young and free and fun, and reading about them feels just as fancy free...until things happen.

Don't get me wrong, though--it's still a great read, but our hero and heroine have to pause and take stock of things, which quickly get complicated. They have to take a good look at their lives and decide what they really want, what they're willing to change, and what will be worth the effort of reaching for--regardless of the ultimate outcome of their "oops" moment. In some ways, the carefree, most-likely-to-be-arrested-in-a-food-truck Jenny is no more, but since time has gone by and she's discovered and been moving toward her calling (culinary school in Paris, nonetheless!) that makes sense. It needed to happen. She's growing up and finding her way, a way which may or may not include a certain fun-loving, live and love for the moment friend of her older brother who also needs to think about moving forward and taking his own risks.

And...maybe anther somebody too? I'm not telling you; you're going to have to find out for yourself ;)

A sweet conclusion to a delectable series--readers will get to see prior heroes and heroines living out their HEAs, ooh and aah over baby owls (!), and maybe even drool a little--or a lot--over the idea of a wedding cake made of baklava. (Google it. You won't be sorry.)

~ 3 HFN Stars ~

This was just a case of not finding anything really clicking for me. The characters were likable and the story line was realistic and handled with little to no drama but it didn't leave a big impression on me. It was a sweet and to the point romance with plenty of heat and some funny moments to balance it out.

The opening scene is our h, Jennifer, recounting her most wild sexcapades with her friend. She's twenty three and very experienced. Then there's the H, Jake, a thirty year old happy go lucky playboy who sleeps with anything that looks twice at him.

They both have some serious commitment issues but their attraction to each other is off the charts. This delivered on the romance, the humor, and the heat factor. As the blurb mentions this does have a surprise pregnancy that pushes these two to grow up and pushes them to see the bigger picture in life. The Oops baby plot was effective and done with a twist, which kept the reader interested til the very end.

This does end with a HFN and a cute romantic gesture at the end. I would consider it safe with exceptions: There was no OM drama but there is some drama with a woman Jake had a crush on but it was easily resolved and was barely a blip in their radar.

Not having read the earlier titles in the series, I did find that some of the early interactions felt as if I was missing something – but the clear definition of Jenny’s personality was apparent, and her rather scattered approach to her night (and her life) was up front and quite clear.

Jared, after a rather awkward introduction was (as expected) intriguing and attractive with one bit of puzzlement – and yes, they had met before even if Jenny doesn’t remember him.

Oh it was cute and light, more candy floss than substantive story that dealt with angst and tumult. And that’s just fine. And then, the condom breaks.

I’m not a fan of ‘we are now together because” even if the because is simply a cover for undying devotion. And these two – I’ll stand solidly on my impressions that neither is particularly settled or mature, at least not consistently. Sure, there was a big gesture and plenty of clever dialogue to keep me amused, and for the most part I was. I just wanted …..more.

While not a must-read and drop everything to devour this book sort of story, it was a perfect diversion for an afternoon read. Clever dialogue, some truly comical moments that both Jenny and Jared drop themselves into will keep you smiling.

I received an eArc copy of the title from the publisher via NetGalley for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Jenny and Jared get themselves an eyeful of what happens when the carefree lifestyles decides to come back and take a bite out of your life. Jenny for the most part did not stick to her plan to not be so carefree. She needs a bit more growing up and developing maturity. Jared on the same hand needs some grow up time. They both felt that a relationship was not what either wanted but of course life happens. This was a cute read with real life encroaching in on the fun.

The slap of reality pushes Jared and Jenny to spend the extra time together. While at the same time it gives them time to understand one another a bit better. The developing relationship seems to hit a rough patch but get resolved.

Looking for an enjoyable read that you need no attachments to other books then try this one. You will not have to be concerned that you missed something with this being the third book in the series. It was a simple uncomplicated read.

Jenny Boyd and Jared Crews are like two peas in a pod: they like to party and have sex and not necessarily in that order. Their attraction to each other is instantaneous and the only thing that is keeping them apart is that Jared enjoys living and he’s sure that Jenny’s intimidating older brother, Rick, will end his life if he and Jenny did anything. “It’s all fun and games until the condom breaks.”

When I first started reading Jenny’s thoughts and actions, I had this moment of: oh, no. This is going to read like a teenager on spring break in Florida—Hedonism Zone, no apologies, no prisoners, I’m on vacation and anything goes. Not exactly the kind of mentality I wanted to spend 200+ pages with. Fortunately, Jenny became earthier and more likeable and I was caught up by the characters and situations in Kira Archer’s involving romance.

I was really excited when I saw that Jared and Jenny were getting an HEA together because I definitely see them as a couple. They have so much in common being free spirted commitment phoebes. Side note with you don’t have to read the previous books in this series, it would definitely help with backstory and to be more connected to the characters. Jared has always had my heart and he’s beyond funny. Jenny is a character that I would love to be friends with. She is awesome. I love this story because it gives a lesson about accidents happen and what will you do to face the consequences. Entangled’s Lovestruck genre is usually a sweet, lighthearted, and quick read, while Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely was all those things it was also deep and insightful. I would give it 4.5 stars. I really enjoyed reading Sweetly, Deeply, Absolutely.

Marie's Tempting Reads Netgalley ARC Review:

I have to admit, this cover made me SO. VERY. HUNGRY. And the story? Just as delectable! The story was fun, entertaining and full of sparks too. I liked Jenny and Jared. These two characters were wonderful and full of sizzling attraction and both were just so interesting.

I was not at all disappointed with this book. In fact, I loved it so much I am going to be following the author, Kira Archer for now on and watch out for more books from her. Especially if she continues to write like the way she did with yummy scenes, fun banter and a romance that just sizzle. I can't wait for more!

This book gets a SINFULLY DELICIOUS FIVE SHOOTING STARS! Its fun, will have you giggling and definitely doing a lot of sighing...a definite MUST HAVE romance!

I finished this late last night since I had trouble falling asleep, and I have to say, I am glad I stayed up to finish it :) Watching Jared and Jenny, two adults who have a good time and shy away from commitment, fall in love and decide they need to change their lives was great. Jared was caring and sweet and I *might* have swooned for him a couple of times. Jenny was the one to run and it made me a little mad, but I have to guess she did that because she was the younger person in the relationship and didn't have the life experience to know that he'd change too.

Even though this was book 3 in the series, it can EASILY be read as a stand alone (I did and had NO problem). The peek we got of Gina and Rick and Nat and Eric were enough to make me want to go read their books :)

I really enjoyed this book with it's unique and refreshing plot and characters. I liked the fact that both of the main characters Jenny and Jared were players rather than just one of them; this made the plot a lot more interesting. There were many funny moments throughout the book and there was a good mix of romance as well as character development. I loved the setting of the bakery and quite a few times I wanted to eat some of Jenny's creation, especially that baklava wedding cake. I was, however, a little disappointed with the ending as it seemed a little rushed and out of character for Jared. Overall, this was a great read with plenty of laughs, an interesting plot and great characters.

Jared and Jenny are both like minded people. They aren't looking for a relationship and are enjoying a causal relationship until a pregnancy scare arises. During this time they both are forced to evaluate things about each other and what the future would hold. Jared was a real stand up guy but Jenny wasn't even trying to give the guy the benefit of the doubt. That was my main issue with her in this book. Overall the book was cute and funny but I wish we had an epilogue. It would be nice to see a follow up on them down the road.

I enjoyed this book. It was a sweet story of meeting an acquaintance and giving in to feelings that wouldn't necessarily be well received. I enjoyed the characters of Jenny and Jared. It was refreshing to read a romantic story of a girl who hadn't had her heart broken, been wronged, or was a virginal angel. Jenny was a normal 23 year old girl who enjoyed sex and that isn't something I find in a lot of characters in romantic stories I read. I enjoyed this quick, sweet read.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange of an honest review.

It took me a bit to get into this one. I wasn't sure about the characters at first, but I was quickly won over. I liked their banter/flirting. This was a fun easy romance. Exactly what I was look for to read. I was drawn to this book because Jenny is a pastry chef. Both Jenny and Jared aren't looking for anything serious just some fun. What do they when they want more? Can they take that leap or will they let insecurities rule?

My main problem was that I didn't really care too much for the main characters. Jared was likeable, but I wasn't able to connect with Jenny. I haven't read the other books in the series, maybe both were introduced in the earlier books and their characters hence more familiar to the reader. The writing was good, I will read other books by the author for sure.

Jared could be real sweet, “the last thing in the world I want to do is leave you right now. In fact”— he turned her around and planted a trail of kisses along her jaw—“ what I’d really like to do is get you back in that bed and make love to you until the sun goes down.” I liked this book.

I wanted to like this book , more than I did. Big fan of the female lead being as sexually forward as the male lead, but the story was just kind of trite and a little boring

There was a lot to like about this story. Archer is a great writer and I've loved Jared since the first book in the series. The main reason I didn't give this a higher rating was due to Jenny.

She just came across as incredibly judgmental! It was okay for her to be capable of change and maturity, but inconceivable that Jared might make those same changes when confronted with exactly the same circumstances!? Also (and this isn't really a spoiler as this is a ROMANCE novel) the grand gesture at the end, whilst admittedly lovely was a bit too one sided for me! I wanted her to apologise for underestimating him (she's already come to that conclusion herself but I would have liked her to tell him) so that the relationship felt more evenly balanced.

So all in all a good, well written story, but not as great as it could have been.

A pastry chef, an artist, a love of sweets and the city of Paris are just a few reasons to read this spicy sweet story.

A woman who has her future all planned out, to master her craft and live a life doing what she loves. A man who is living life, minute to minute but a passion to create burns strong.

When one night threatens to change everything they will discover that what they desire the most isn't so out of reach.

Fear can motive us to do things we may never have done before. When it comes to love, avoiding the feelings sometimes isn't an options.

A great story that was easy to read, cute plot and the characters well developed. I enjoed the bakery scenes and the relationship dynamics.

I received an ARC from the publisher for a fair and honest review. All opinions are my own

This is a quick read , which is pretty fun about two people (Jenny and Jared) who never had planned to get together as a couple. They like playing the field and they really like going out clubbing and dance clubs and the like. They begin to work with one another when sparks fly between them yet When they eventually make it to his bed , there is an “accident”. Will real life get in the way of a budding relationship?
This was an ok read in book 3 in the Sweet Love series . I found that the story needed to be brushed up a bit further and at times was a bit slow but was an ok read.
My Rating: 3.5 stars *****
