Ballora goes into HEAVY detail describing the physics of sound and nature of acoustic spaces, and how that relates to both recording equipment and the human listener. Then, he jumps into the digital world, with in depth explanations of the filters and effects our computers use to recreate the “naturalness” of sound. Excellent book for audiophiles, professionals, or aspiring audio engineers/editors (me!).
