Will of Fire

Rate this book
Elle knew that unraveling the secrets on Acryen would be difficult, but she didn't know that it would be deadly. She knew this from the scars on her body and the heat in her eyes.
Three months have passed and what was meant to be an easy journey across the ocean has turned perilous as she's come to realize that they've boarded the wrong ship--a slaver's ship run by a cunning and devious man known only as Captain Red. Elle can't help but find herself drawn to him and repelled at the same time. Yet, when a powerful hurricane hits the ship and Elle's life is in danger, Peter's hidden powers awaken, and now, they're in trouble. The stakes are much higher than before, and Elle's afraid that the only way out is with blood.
Elle must find the necklace awaiting in Gyoar before an elf meets her end, a quaid falls prey, a mother commits treason, and a king masks his mistake. But above all, she must find it before her fate is sealed in ashes.
Because where hope lies, fire breathes.

I loved jumping back into the Acryen series and seeing where the journey lies for each character. My fave is Peter and Elle *swoon* I really love the connection and banter between these two characters. The world Yasmin Fazli has created with Acryen is just phenomenal. I really love the different species and languages within the story. If I had one complaint it would be that it changed from one character to another just as I was hooked into their story line. I wanted more, so much more. You can't help but get lost with each character and the journey they are on, because they are all on a journey whether its for their own sake or to all meet at one point. The mystery of it all that lies ahead keeps you entranced til the end, leaving you with a book hangover like no other. Yasmin has really out done herself with this series, and I for one can't wait to see where she takes us with the next installment.

EVERYONE DROP WHAT YOU'RE READING BECAUSE THIS BOOK JUST TOOK YA FANTASY TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!!!!
Alright Willers, this book is the reason I can no longer say "the first book is always better than the sequel" BECAUSE BOY OH BOY IS THAT JUST NOT THE CASE ANYMORE!!! Will of Fire blew me away with the story, the characters (Dustan marry me please), and all the plot twists were insane! I loved reading Elle and Peter chapters so much and seeing how real that relationship is and all the problems they go through are things people go through everyday. Everything about this book is just magical and perfect and so much more action packed than Will of Hope (which I loved also don't get me wrong).
I can't wait for book 3!!!!

Definitely a must read!!!
Will of Hope definitely took me on a completely amazing journey and Will of Fire showed me that I didn't know Acryen as well as I thought :O I really had a completely different experience reading Will of Fire than I did Will of Hope and it was so amazing to see all the new places and paths the characters end up on! Elle and Peter are going the wrong way, Asparis is discovering more about what she is, Dustan and Enidah have detour of the century, and Aden is plotting something insane and I can't wait to see that unfold as the series continues!! All around, Will of Fire kept me on the edge of my seat and that's a huuuuuuuge understatement :D

A definite five stars for me! If I could give this book six stars, I would! I loved Will of Hope back when I read it. I actually read that book twice. I fell in love with Acryen in a way I didn't think I would, leading to my anticipation for Will of Fire's release, and boy was I surprised.
I could say, without a doubt, I enjoyed Will of Fire ten times more than WOH. WOF was absolutely incredible! Let me first say that the cover blew my mind! I was shocked. It's so hot, mysterious, and burned me up! I know that that's Peter, and oh my goodness I swooooon! Also, the interior design of the book was breathtakingly beautiful. I didn't even begin reading, and I already felt like I was in an adventure!
Now, when I actually began the book, I was hooked. The book picks up three months later with all the characters. Elle, Peter, and Tean have boarded the wrong ship. Asparis and Paju have set out to find missing pieces in their life. PJ and Ravine are continuing to Quaid Kingdom...or are they? Elanore fights against her capturers. Dustan and Enidah fight against themselves. And, the best part, Aziya, Aden, and Grace all get chapters in here as well, giving us an opportunity to learn more about Acryen from a bigger picture.
One of the aspects of this book that I adored was the scenery change. There were so many different new lands to uncover about Acryen. I felt like I truly learned the vastness of this planet after reading the second book. I began to understand culture clashes/different races/and even the rumors that traveled to certain parts of the world. My favorite was obviously the ocean setting Elle's story took place on with Captain Red (a new character, a hot character, my new love) that eventually led to the Hope Islands.

But, I don't want to give anything away there so let us move on.
The writing style had also evolved. Yasmin truly showed her growth as a writer with this second book. The description was well balanced with amazing, hard-hitting dialogue that left you wanting more. I felt as though I wasn't reading WOF but watching it as a movie behind my eyes. It was incredible.
Plot. The plot twists in this book killed me!

Every second you think something is going right, BAM, it changes direction! I was left wondering how and why! The secrets I uncovered with book two have left me dreaming of book three, and I cannot wait!!
Honestly, I could ramble for days about how much I loved this book. From the characters development to the underlying themes found littered in everyone's storyline, I have to say that if you don't read this book, you will regret it. I am a diehard Willer, and love it to the max! I am a Water Listener in Paken culture, lover to Peter, best friend to Elle, and sister to PJ (my faves).
So what are you doing reading this review? I'll tell you. You're clicking the download button and starting the adventure.
Thank you Yasmin for bringing us the realm of Acryen.
I choose to Live in the Light!

FANTASTIC SEQUEL!!!!!!!! If I could rate it 6/5 stars I would! :)

Most of the time it is really hard for a sequel to outshine it's predecessor but Will of Fire does that and more! The plot twists and turns in this novel are out of this world and I never thought the story could become this amazing!! These characters have developed so much since the first novel and oh my goodness do they go through so many obstacles that they have to overcome!
The story picks up 3 months after Will of Hope ends and begins with Elle, Peter (oh Peter), and Tean on a ship. What they didn't realize before is that they had accidentally boarded the wrong ship and are now sailing towards the Hope Islands which is completely in the opposite direction of their intended destination! :O This is where we are introduced to Captain Red WHO IS SO PERFECT AND CHARMING BUT CUNNING AND YOU NEVER REALLY KNOW WHO'S SIDE HE'S ON WHICH MAKES HIM EVEN MORE ATTRACTIVE AND AAAAAAAAHHHH *swoon* My heart calls out for Captain Red and the influence he now has over the story is so impressive.
As for Elle and Peter, our OTP, they have changed so much!!! Elle becomes stronger, much stronger than I had ever anticipated and she realizes more and more what she is as the story goes on. And of course she has the devilishly charming Captain Red reminding her why she is such an important asset and that she is rather valuable.
NOW PETER ON THE OTHER HAND!!! Peter has been going through hell and back through this story! He and Elle are a roller-coaster, sometimes they have amazing moments and then other times their heart and souls are getting crushed (mine along with theirs) and it's so brutal to see how their story unfolds and all the secrets that pile up! The romance between them still burns with a bright flame but that flame is flickering a lot lately.
Now Dustan.........oooooh Dustan, the bad boy/elf who is now travelling with Enidah (MY FAVORITE GIRL) and oh my, what a journey that is!! His desire and will to find Elanore is so pure and seeing him struggle knowing that each passing day Elanore is being tortured at Lawdendore is beyond words. I think I can speak for everyone when I say #saveelanore
As for Aden (WHO ONLY HAD 1 CHAPTER IN WILL OF HOPE BTW) he now has a little more "screen" time and man oh man does his role become intense!! He definitely has so many tricks up his sleeve; Saladose you better watch out cause your little bro is coming to get you!
Seriously words cannot describe how amazing this story has become. The characters have come such a long way and the secrets that are revealed are out of this world I found myself gasping and hold my breathe so many times in anticipation for what was happening.
Yasmin Fazli, bravo!!! :) :) :) I am so proud to say that I am a Willer forever and to all the rest of you out there I say live in the light, or die in the dark.

WOW!!! Will of Fire was exactly what I needed and was my favorite book of 2016 by far <3
This book reminds me so much the way An Ember in the Ashes is written, the writing style between Sabaa Tahir and Yasmin Fazli is soooooo similar other than the POV being 3rd person in the Acryen series. The only complaint I have about this book is that I finished it too fast and now have to wait God knows how long for the 3rd book to come out and I just don't know if my heart can handle that!!!!!!! AAAAAARGH I NEED MORE AND I NEED IT NOW! And I need more Aden chapters Yasmin Fazli!! This just isn't acceptable you hear me ;P JK I love you and can't wait to see what else you have under your sleeves for us Willers <3

Wow...I totally loved this book. At first, when I finished book one, I was skeptical about reading this book and was dragging my feet a bit on it, but I am glad that I went ahead and read this book!! I was able to follow this book a lot better. Sure, the author jumped from one set of character to the next, but this time, I knew by the chapters which character the chapter was going to be about. I still couldn't really connect with the characters, but the action and suspense in this book made it worth the wild. I felt myself wanting to keep reading to find out what would happen next to a certain character in each chapter. She would kind of leave me hanging to keep me reading and I really liked that. I am curious to see where this author is going to take us in the next book. I am anxious to see if in the end these character finally meet up for the finale. So, to quote the words of Captain Red, 'You will see'.

The author provided me with a digital copy of the book for review purposes only. No remuneration was exchanged.

THIS BOOOOOOOOK!!!!! I finally have time to write my review for Will of Fire!!!!!!!!
The world building has surpassed my wildest dreams Acryen has been taken to a whoooole new level in awesomeness. There's islands, icelands, tribal regions, and so much more that I still can't wrap my head around!!!!!! And the characters......THE CHARACTERS!! Elle is stronger now (which I love because she complained so much in WOH but she makes up for it now by being a badass), Peter faces obstacles (both physical and mental), Tean is put to the test, Asparis reveals more about herself, King Saladose is more malicious, Aden has more secrets, Dustan is challenged, Enidah fights harder and it is just out of this world!! And Elanore, poor poor Elanore, we're all routing for you! I still didn't even list all of the characters but everyone plays such an important role and I've read some 3rd person books that don't really have a good enough character development but Will of Fire is the exception and it is so amazing! I can't wait for book 3!!!!!

I just finished Will of Fire last night and wow it really blew me away!!! Already the cover and the formatting of the book was so incredible and the story was even more amazing than Will of Hope. It is more than worthy to receive a five star rating and for me to recommend it to all you guys so make sure to check it out (and read Will of Hope if you haven't already) because I'm so sick of reading mediocre books that have thousands of ratings when this book surpasses them all by a loooong shot!
