This is not made for TV. This is the raw, brutal underground of no-holds-barred combat. Inside the cage there is nothing but me and the pain I inflict on those who dare enter. In the cage, I never have to worry about anyone but myself. Yet, when she began standing outside of the cage, everything changed. I was no longer fighting for the money or the glory – I was fighting for her.
A fighter A small-town girl A controlling ex An insane neighbor And one humongous purse

From the author: “It’s my job to make you FEEL. That doesn’t always mean you’ll feel good, but I want my readers to be connected enough to my characters to care.”
Savage’s books many books span a wide variety of topics and sub-genres with deeply flawed characters. From cavemen to addicts to hitmen, you’ll find yourself falling for these seemingly irredeemable characters!
Gritty! Real! Saucey! In your face, no holds barred, pure Savagery!
I knew this book would be great because Shay wrote it, although I have to admit I was expecting the typical alpha-fighter-bad-boy-romance story like the the tons of others I’ve read.
Dead wrong. This is by far a cut above the rest.
I was blown away with how real the characters were written and portrayed. I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching real people face their life issues. I loved how Shay tackled the emotional problems our hero faced. People sometimes forget that men have real emotions and expect them to always be strong, never cry, and to suck it up. The Caged Series was an impressive take on one man’s struggle, a woman’s need to better herself, and a couple’s desire to love one another through all of life’s road blocks.
But geeze that all sounds deep and boring but NO, this book was anything but. It was funny as hell and incredible sexy! It was raunchy, clever, and amazing! Damn that first kiss had me melting.
Shay is a master storyteller, her writing is simply phenomenal! The characters are incredibly realistic and thoroughly developed. The story was unique, interesting, and kept me utterly riveted. And as you can tell I loved, loved, loved this series!
My favorites: “Swirling Vortex of Doom” “Sack of Sauron” “Balrog’s Backpack” ...and no these aren’t LOR quotes, you just have to read the series to find out.
Liam made me laugh, made me cry, and made me love him!
Two lost souls who find each other and provide the heading they both so desperately needed, is not the only thing you will get out of this book. Yes, they are both plagued by last hurts and heartache, but they do not let it define them completely. Especially not Tria. She took a big deal to dare to be different. However her initial naivety almost made her a statistic in t big city. Enter the hero! Liam probably will never think of himself as heroic, but we know otherwise. Not only does he comes to Tria's rescue, he takes care of Krazy Katie. It all stems from a tragedy from his past. This past six consume him, until he found Tria. She was the deciding factor in whether he could heal, but could also be what breaks him. Although he has a minor set back, it aS ultimately her love that healed him for good! I really loved this series!
Entertaining, captivating, steamy, and emotional, this well rounded series was full of beautifully flawed characters I enjoyed reading. And humor! It usually caught me off guard, and I laughed at every new name Liam gave Tria's black hole of a purse. Reading this series in the boxed set is perfect as each book ends in a cliffhanger leading to the next.
Even though this book has been on my TBR list for awhile I seemed to never get around to it but now I'm so glad I did. It's a refreshing read from what I've been reading and it held me so captive that I literally spent my entire afternoon and all through the night to finish it! Now here I sit at my desk at work, with no sleep, and no regrets. This is a masterpiece by Ms Savage and I'm so happy to have read it. I can go into a whole synopsis about the story but I'm sure u can read the other reviews for that but what I will say is be prepared for a true story not just a f$ck me crazy erotica that will capture your heart and soul.
I REALLY was enjoying this story until the verry end.
Once the author decided to go on and on about how much better natural child birth is, and breast feeding and the downright dangerous practice of bed sharing with a newborn I lost sight of what this was. A shame fest for parents or a really great fighter story.

Shay says her job as a writer is to make you feel. You’ll definitely feel everything. The whole spectrum. I honestly didn’t want it to end. I was hoping for an extended epilogue. That very rarely happens for me.
I was so immersed in this series. Male POV is not my go-to, but Shay Savage is the queen at writing these.
I really liked Liam. I thought his story arc was beautifully thought out. I loved the gritty and raw aspects of the cage fighting. And I thought the secondary characters (Erin, Yolanda, Krazy Katie...) were all superbly written. On this point I also was so grateful that Savage didn’t add in the overused “mean girl”. Both Erin and Yolanda had so much depth.
Something else I really appreciated was that Tria’s pregnancy was not added for mere plots points. Instead fatherhood was threaded throughout the entire series. And it was all the more emotional to accompany Liam on this journey.
What didn’t I like so much? This is difficult to say. But I do think that I subconsciously am comparing Liam’s story to Bastian’s in Surviving Raine. Bastian... was just another level of incredible. Apart from this, I thought Tria’s backstory in the (very strange/creepy) town she grew up in was side-swept near the end. Of course, this was Liam’s story and not Tria’s. But I still didn’t have as much resolution as I might have hoped.
Overall another wonderful series by Savage.

Me enamoré del protagonista, odié a unos cuantos de los demás personajes, y la protagonista me cayó muy mal. Pero a él, al personaje principal, lo amé. Volvería a leer la trilogía una y otra vez.
This is my first book of this author and I'm so overwhelmed with emotions after finishing it. I was looking for a story about fighters and did not expect that. This is seriously, seriously good book. The story is told from the hero/Liam point of view, which in itself is very interesting. This is his story of struggle with severe case of PTSD after an unfortunate event that happened when he was only 17 years old. The interesting and unique thing in the story is that, opposite to what one may expect, Liam comes from wealthy, loving family who throughout the story, from behind the scenes, cares about him and is there ready to support. The reader follows his story where he literally hits the bottom from every aspect emotional, physical, mental, financial. For many years she struggles with drug addiction and severe panic attacks. He was emotionally immature to deal with the events at the time they happened as he was only 17 he never had the chance to get help simply because he refused that not knowing how to deal with it. If it hadn't been for Tria he would have been lost. The reader follows gradually how their relationship develops and matures and how detrimental effect it has on Liam and his future choices. One needs really to read the book to appreciate that. I loved many things about this story: it's characters main and supportive, the chemistry between them, the dialogues, the funny names Liam had for Tria's bag, the rollercoaster of emotions, the progressive development of the plot, the fact that everything in the story was real and believable. The author beautifully tackled such a difficult subject of mental health problems. I really liked that Liam's recovery was not rushed but the author dedicated several chapters to show the difficulties of treatment and progress he made. The epilogue was honest and promising and showed what a journey Liam had to reach that point in his life, he conquered his demons, learnt to forgive and face difficulties knowing that he is far far from perfect. This story left me thinking about it for long after, it does touch reader's deep emotions. It is one of the very few stories of this kind that I will definitely come back to in the future and happily read again. The series deserves more than 5 stars and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who does not fear to feel and experience along with the heroes strong tsunami of emotions some good and some bad but nevertheless so true and real.
