Chloe was exhausted. Moving from New York City to Ithaca, NY had been a real strain on this city girl. Her darling son Noah had been a handful, as usual, but lately he'd been behaving strangely around the other kids his age. A nice trip to the zoo would let him get out some of that energy and hopefully let Chloe relax a little bit. But whatever the day had in store for her, relaxation would play no part in it...

Clay knew this was the wrong way to do it. Trying to naturally meet someone you've been tracking down is never going to work, but what choice did he have? She was raising his cub, and that meant the normal playbook was going right out the window. As soon as he laid eyes on her, he had a feeling that the wrong way was going to suit him just fine...

This 10,000+ word Novella contains secret baby Bear Shifter hotness, a Happily Ever After, No Cheating and No Cliffhanger! Also included are some free bonus stories as my thanks to you.

So, here's what I think. I liked it. I'd give it 2.5 stars for enjoyability with hopes for filling its potential. Only 2.5 stars?! Yes, sadly, I could even rate it with 3 because I felt like so much was missing. But I did like it, so it's not a lower rating because I'm hard to please or stingy with the stars. Well, maybe I'm stingy with stars. Anyway...

I don't know these people at all. I might have gotten to know Clay a bit if I had read the preceding books, but since I didn't, I'm left with what I have in this one. That being said, I'm interested in him. What does he do for work to get those calloused hands that are so pleasing to Chloe? How old is he? He's obviously close to his brothers, but what about parents? He's very direct with Chloe and I love that, but is he always up front and forward without seeming like a playboy, or was he definitely a playboy before and now that he knows he's a dad he's suddenly changed his ways? And does he feel for Chloe because she's his mate or just because she birthed his child and happens to be very physically attractive?

Then there's Chloe. I'm less interested in her, unfortunately, because the story is told from her POV so I get into her head a bit more. But all I'm really getting about her is that she's insecure, definitely a city girl, and that she is doing her best to be the mother Noah needs. I appreciate that she's being such a good mom, giving up her comforts in the city to do what's best for Noah. I love that about her. Self-sacrifice is noble, admirable, and speaks of inner strength. But all that really comes across through her inner thoughts are the insecurities and fashion-forward habits that ruled her life thus far.

We have the villains of the jealous moms and self-righteous and judgmental neighbor lady, but no conflict other than Chloe's doubt and those women. I'm unsure if this story is meant to be just a short feel-good shifter romance or if it's just missing something to make me feel like these people are coming together and staying together for the long haul because they've been tested. And I'm not trying to insinuate that there needs to be some big, bad outside awfulness, cheating, or a big misunderstanding, but I am wondering what, really, will hold these people together who've known one another for a day. It could be a mating bond and instinct combined, but since only the ex-actress' instinct was mentioned, I have to presume that it's a precursor to love, fidelity, honesty, and perseverance.

I got engaged to my husband after only 6 weeks, we've been married eight years and I'm a week away from having baby girl number two, so I know how love can be true and fast, so that's not a prejudice here, I promise. But since I can only guess as to why these people will be good together, I'm going to say most people who read this book will be wondering about this too.

In exchange for an ARC copy of this book, I willingly read and reviewed it.

I was given a free copy of this book for an honest review and my honest review is I really loved it and it has followed on nicely from the previous novellas of the series, the only reason I gave it four stars is due to the length of it. Chloe a glamour mum was used to living in the middle of New York city and knew nothing nothing about living or fitting in, within the suburbs, but due to her son on advice from specialist, she moved out of the city into the surrounding countryside where she is struggling to fit in and make friends until she meets Clay who introduces her to his brother and his wife. I won't tell you more as I hate to spoil the story for you - enjoy !

Clay has found out that the sperm he donated for an experiment has been accidentally used in a sperm bank Now he wants to find the woman who had his child.
Chloe was a successful actress from New York City. Unable to find a good relationship, she settles for starting her own family. Now her son is almost two. She had to move out of the city because her son was not doing well. He is as large as a five year old and has strange habits like growling. She is having a hard time adjusting to a quieter life. On a field trip with her son's school to the zoo, she meets Clay. She thinks he is a dad on the trip with her. They quickly connect and Chloe is happy to have a new friend
Now Clay has to figure out how to explain that her son is his son also and that they are werebears.
it is a quick sweet story. Both the hero and heroine are friendly, kind people. I did have a little trouble how they hooked up right away since she never asked about his marital status or about his kid.
I received a free copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Clay (BBW Secret Baby Bear Shifter Romance) (Secret Baby Bears Book 4) (Kindle Edition)
Clay ( BBW Secret Baby Bear Shifter Romance) by Becca Fanning 4 Stars

Sweet and Sassy. Clay and Chloe's story is another fast and fun read.
Clay has been told he is a father, now he is on the search for his son and the woman who had him..
Chloe chose to have a baby before it's too late to start a family so at 29 she goes to the sperm bank. Thinking she will never find a husband she's happy with just her and her son Noah. That is until Clay shows up, lol. More than sparks fly.
I only wished that there was more about Noah and how he interacts with Clay.

Good Story about Love and Happiness when you least expect it.
PNR Readers will enjoy this short story. 18+ readers for strong language and sexual encounters

Thinking you were to be part of testing when you volunteered your sperm was never thought to take a left hand turn. Clay believed he would remain a confirmed bachelor until he found out that his sperm had fathered a child. While being offered compensation for the error....well he wasn't having anything to do with that. He wanted to see his child and find out where it would lead. Most shifter stories run along the lines of finding their mate, but this series is totally different. There was heat, so be aware that this is meant for an audience of 18+.

I received this ARC free read for an honest review. I can honestly say that the characters here are both hopeful that they connect....and boy do they.

Five men met with Partridge who was a representative of Dodson University. Apparently, due to a mix-up at the lab, shifter sperm donors’ research-only specimens were inadvertently sent to the sperm banks for use, with successful outcomes. Dodson University was offering to pay the new fathers a stipend in return for not being involved in the child’s life. Unfortunately for the university, that was not going to be an option anymore!

Chloe Parks lazily stretched in bed, then got up to check on her son, Noah. They were heading to the zoo on a class trip for a day of fun with the animals. While there, one of the men introduced himself to her. She assumed he was the dad of one of the children on the trip. He invited her and Noah to visit the otters which were his favorite critters to watch. Chloe found him easy to talk to and opened up to him about her move from busy New York City to the quiet country. Noah needed fresh air and sunshine, so she had moved here. But she missed the city. Clay told her he was not married and asked her for a date the next evening.

Chloe totally over-dressed for the “club” date. A country version was definitely not the same thing as a NYC club! But she met Clay’s brother and sister-in-law and they had a wonderful time together. She actually had fun!

When Clay walked her inside, they talked some more. Clay told her how sometimes things happen that change your whole life. She wanted him to stay, but he told her that she had to be willing to have a real relationship with him. She had to give him a chance.

Would Chloe be able to let down her guard and enter into a serious relationship with Clay? Would she realize that he could bring her the happiness that she was missing?

This was a nice, gentle love story that is worth reading. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is the fourth book in the series and yes you really should read them all as the prologue has information in it that is relevant to all the books. Sure this is a quick read but it is well worth it as Clay and Chloe keep you well entertained throughout the book. I also loved getting a small glimpse of one of the previous couples from one of the earlier books. I was given a free ARC copy of this story in exchange for an honest review

Book four in the series. This one is about Clay and the way he meets Chloe the mother of his son. Chloe is from NYC but moved to the country to go be her son a better life. She just didn't realize how the two were totally different worlds. Clay is the one to bring her around. We actually never get to see the shifter in this story.

I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Chloe will do anything for her son Noah, even giving up her life and moving out of the City for him. She does get lonely as she doesn't seem to be able to make friend like her son. Although that all changes when  she meets Clay.  Being from New York she has different ways of thinking how things go. But Clay really opens her eyes to how life is different then the people from New York she called friends. Although it doesn't seem like she had good ones anyway. I feel bad for her with how the other mums from the nursery are like  towards her. But Clay takes her for a night out and she meets Rock and Gemma and realises not everyone is how she thinks in her head they are.  Clay is so laid back and honest, just the right thing that Chloe needs right now.  Little Noah is so cute and I can picture him being all big and cute that I want to pinch his cheeks haha. What I like about this series is, 1. The dad's could just take the money bit they don't, they go and claim the family they didn't know existed. 2. When they meet its like they know they have a connection straight away, even if the mum doesn't understand why straight away.

This is the fourth book in the series and is a wonderful and interesting book to read. The series covers the journey of five men/bear shifters and the journey each of them go on to find their child and mate, I am thoroughly enjoying reading each book in the series and this book covers Clay and his journey. What you will find in this book is drama, intrigue, a feisty former actress and single parent (Chloe), her son Noah, visiting zoo, meeting a man (Clay), walking around together, a date, getting ready, a karaoke club, meeting brother (Rock) and wife (Gemma), talking, attracted to Clay, home, having a drink, talking, wanting to leave, Chloe asking Clay to stay, Clay will only stay if Chloe will have a real relationship with him, will consider it, bedroom, intimacy, sleeping, waking up, beset with doubts but trusting her gut, Clay telling her the truth, a promise to make her life exciting and lots of love, emotional feelings and a erotic scene. The story-line and plot is well thought out and written. The characters have needs and desires according to their personality. I would recommend this book to people that like to read a entertaining bear shifter story.

Clay has just been told that there was a mix-up at the sperm bank and he is now a father. He always felt that he would never be a father, but now he can't wait to meet his son. Chloe was an actress in NYC, but wanted a family so went to the sperm bank. Now she has taken her son Noah to Ithaca hoping that he will be happier in a small town, country like setting rather than in the big city. She takes Noah to the zoo with his nursery school class. There she meets Clay and things instantly click between them. Clay asks her to go to a club with him and she gets a babysitter and all dressed up. Then she finds out that the club is really a bar and most people are dressed in jeans. But she enjoys herself anyway. Clay goes back to her place with her, but she feels that he will just leave her as all men seem to do. He tells her that he intends to stay, that he is Noah's father and he wants to form a family with her and Noah. I was given a free ARC copy of this book for an honest review. Can't wait for the next one.

I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

So, I've been with this series since the beginning. I have to admit I didnt always love it. There has been a lot of inconsistency in each book. Some I liked more than others. This is one of them. I enjoyed it. Now, Chloe I will admit is a bit off putting only because she seemed so stuck in New York City and what she's always missing instead of being with her son and her new life in the country. She still wears all the glamorous clothing and she's not making friends easily and she's not understanding why. She's a good person just a little lost in the water of a new small town. She does start to realize things and her thinking really changes when she meets Clay and he sets her straight on some things. I think we have another book coming but I liked this one. I liked how Clay presented her that Noah was his son. However, the shifter thing didnt even come up. I know its not the end and I am curious how it will play out.

Reluctant Country Girl. This novella is the fourth book in the Secret Baby Bears series. I have read other books from this author and I like that this series has an interesting twist on the typical secret baby storyline. Clay is a standalone with a HEA but there are more novellas in the series so why stop with just this one? Hot and steamy sex so definitely 18+.

The book blurb adequately describes the storyline so I'm not going to repeat that info here. Be aware that this is an "insta-love" storyline and events move extremely quickly. This is a novella so settings and characters aren't as well described or as developed as they could be. But you have to expect that in a novella and suspend your belief a little more than usual. I will continue to read more of this series, just to see where this twist on the typical secret baby storyline leads.

I received an ARC of this novella in exchange for an honest review.

I was given an ARC copy of this book in return for my honest review (of course!). I came in late to this series, but I am enjoying it enough to go back and get whatever books in the series I missed, making sure I get to read them, too! In this story, Clay goes looking for the young woman who got his sperm by mistake and finds Chloe and her son, Noah. Chloe has moved from NYC to small-town Ithaca to give Noah a better life, but she's having trouble adjusting. Clay gently points out a few things and Chloe, being a quick learner, may be making some adjustments very soon. This is a sweet story, concentrating on the developing relationship between Clay and Chloe. Ms. Fanning is skilled enough as a writer to have me keep thinking about the characters as though they were continuing their story. The writing is smooth and carries you along rather quickly: it's an entertaining read and I recommend it.

3.5 stars This is a good contemporary romance regarding werebear sperm accidentally being used to impregnate several women. Chloe didn't know any of the circumstances regarding her son. All she knows is that he's twice the size most toddlers are at his age. She's struggling to do right for her son. She gave up living in the city she loved to move out into the country. Clay is shocked at the news that he fathered a child so he seeks out Chloe. The author did a really good job explaining why the characters are at this point in their lives. She's not looking for a man. The one major fault I found with this particular book is that Chloe had no idea shifters were real or that Clay was one. My first inclination was to list this as a paranormal which it's suppose to be but unless I skipped some pages she never saw or learned throughout the book that he is a bear shifter. I really do like Ms Fannings books. I received a free copy of this book solely in exchange for an honest opinion.

This is the fourth short story in the Secret Baby Series. This one follows Olivia and Jackson. Olivia is a bridesmaid in her friends wedding and her ex-fiance who cheating on her and wants her back is also in the wedding. She meets Jackson at the wedding unknowing he is the sperm donor. This sweet short story will keep you captivated right from the beginning. The character's are realistic with real emotions and flaws. There are surprising twists and turns. I hope to see continuing development with the character's in this series. Bear Shifter Romance series. This one revolves around Chole who is a actress and bear shifter Clay. This short story is sweet and sexy with a bit of suspense as Chole does not know that Clay is a bear shifter yet. I was given a free copy in exchange for a honest review.

Clay is the next bear to find his baby and his HEA.

Chloe was a successful actress in NYC and had everything she wanted except a family. There is no Mr Chloe on the horizon so she decides to do it herself and goes to a sperm bank. Fast forward 2 years and she and her son Noah have moved to the country. Noah is larger than average, doesn't speak and Growls on occasion. Chloe hopes the great outdoors is what he needs.

On a visit to the zoo they meet Clay and he convinces her to go on a date. When the date goes waaaaay different than envisaged, Chloe finds herself having fun (even some of the adult variety!). She meets Clays brother and friends and their wives, incl Gemma who also had her son on her own.

The story is fast paced and its only a little hinky that Clay stalks his baby & mama at the zoo LOL. Great, engaging characters and scorching romance!

In the latest of the shifter men who unknowingly fathered children we find Clay on the road to finding his son. Chloe is different from the women she meets after moving to Ithaca to give her son, Noah, the fresh air and open spaces he needs. A day at the zoo with her son leads her to meeting Clay and actually enjoying herself. Chloe was used to a different kind of man than Clay, but is drawn to him in a way she never experienced before. Clay wants a chance with her and when he tells her about who Naoh's father is Chloe gives the idea of family a shot. I enjoyed the latest in the series from Becca Fanning. The fourth story in the Secret Baby Bear Shifter series fixes its spotlight on Chloe, an actress in NY city who decided to start a family on her own and become a single mother. Her son Noah does not do in the concrete jungle well, though, so they move to Ithaca. She feels off, struggling to find new friends, until she meets Clay in the zoo and everything starts to change.
Sweet romance spiced with erotic scenes and happy end makes for a great short and quick read, providing a much needed relax from all the daily problems and worries a woman carries on her shoulders.

Another great book in the Secret Baby Bear series by Becca Fanning. These novelettes as I call them are short, sweet and to the point bear shifter stories. The shifters donated supermarket for a science experiment, not for fertilization. They all find out they have son's and this is Clay's story. This is a hot, sexy, good for lunchtime read. You don't need to read the others to enjoy this book, but it does help to build a better picture. 4☆'s I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Chloe's acting career is stalled and her agent recommends she start a family to be more relatable. There is no one, in any way, attractive to Chloe or real enough to tie herself to. She decides to have a child on her own. Her son is not doing well in the city and Chloe moves, only none of the mothers will open up to her because of her differences. Clay approaches Chloe and is attracted to her. Clay wants a relationship, but Chloe is hesitant.

Clay has found out he is a father and he wants to see his cub. Chloe is trying to fit into the community she and her son just moved to. A trip to the zoo is about to get interesting. What a sweet little story. I love that once Clay finds out about his child he wants to know him. Chloe really cares for her son and would do anything so he is happy. Family is the theme here. Although this is a short story it packs a big punch. You will love reading it. I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I was given a free copy of this story in exchange for an honest review. You will want to read these stories in order. The Prologue reveals more about the lawyer and the shifters. I think something is going on with the lawyer. Chloe is having trouble finding jobs. She and Noah moved from NYC and Noah made friends. Chloe is having trouble finding friends. Another sweet story

This story is a little different feeling than the previous stories in the series. I like that Chloe gets to meet Rock and Gemma and hear a little about their story. Another short and sweet novella.

Chloe and Clay clicked as a couple, despite their differences...she was very much a city girl concerned with appearances and he was a country boy....but they did have their son, Noah, in common.

I'm not sure I would have been so accepting of the news that my son was a bear shifter as Chloe was but the story worked.

I received an ARC from the author and promised an honest review.
