Electricity and Magnetism

Rate this book
Electrical equipment is vital not only to the commuters traveling to and from the office but also to the fighter pilots who soar through the sky in swift and maneuverable airplanes. Other electrical devices have long been used to store and play music, upgrading in quality from early tin or wax cylinders to modern compact discs. Computers are omnipresent, transforming how people communicate and conduct business, and the future holds even more promise of change. Readers will be drawn to Electricity and Magnetism, which examines electricity, magnetism, and the relationship between the two that makes electromagnetism such an important and pervasive component of our world. A very basic explanations of some of the principles of electricity and magnetism. This work is intended for those who want to know more about how these concepts affect our lives. I felt some of the explanations and illustrations could have been better. On the other hand, many of the applications discussed were still in its infancy or yet to be discovered when I studied the science (I used a slide rule to solve problems.) Hence it was a good read.

This was a decent overview of the topic with detailed, yet easy to follow explanations. I do hope a newer version is released as a few of the sub-topics covered are now a little outdated.

Absolutely fascinating. I picked this up because I wanted a framework for understanding electricity and that is what I got. Even though I don't know much, I could tell that it was a very basic presentation, but a very readable one that left the door open for the reader to learn more later.

I found it a fantastic read but I'm quite interested in the topic. It's not in-depth. It's more of an introductory book than anything but worth reading if you don't know where to start.
