Helena Petrovna Blavatsky (Russian: Еле́на Петро́вна Блава́тская, Yelena Petrovna Blavatskaya, often known as Madame Blavatsky; 12 August [O.S. 31 July] 1831 – 8 May 1891) was a Russian occultist, philosopher, and author who co-founded the Theosophical Society in 1875. She gained an international following as the leading theoretician of Theosophy, the esoteric religion that the society promoted.
I finished my skimming through catching the high points I wanted to get . I am sure I'll be consulting this later for specific points and for a general browse through . AFAIK , GRS Mead , the metaphysical scholar and secretary to Blavatsky , was the primary compiler of the text and entries . I have this as an E-book .
It's one of its kind ... the book provided me with some valuable information concerning the theosophical society and its believes... and even though I am not quite sure of the credibility of their believes, I find it worthy of my time and studies :)
When my father gave this book to me as a present (my mon freaked out! :P) I was fascinated! I was always a fan of mysterious-metaphysical stuff and this book actually gave answers to some of my questions. It is so unique and interesting!
