Better than the first volume, but still not really there.

The main issue is the characters. Somehow Tres is the most interesting character, and he's a machine. Abel I don't get at all, his mightier form is interesting but mostly hes not in that form and only feels like a grown-up who can't behave. Esther lacks all personal strength and is so innocent and stereotypical that she's boring. Sure she's asking the questions that you as a reader ask, but that's it. Why is she even in this?
New characters are thrown in and disposed of in a hurry. This doesn't feel thought true.

The story has a better flow to it than in the first part and isn't as confusing. I still don't like the drawing style.

This is the end of my Trinity Blood experience. Time to search for some (in my opinion) better manga.

Full review soon.

It's worth a read despite the differences between the novels, manga and anime. The differences make the stories unique and unpredictable and so every version feels fresh and fills the reader with anticipation.
Sunao Yoshida's writings of Trinity Blood is amazingly good, astonishing and intriguing,Thores Shibamoto's characters designs are elegant, gothic, extraordinary and uniquely cool, Kiyo Kyujiyo art is beautiful, flowly, ethereal and highly detailed. This series is definitely a five star. This series is definitely what I needed: a good non fan service filled plot with great development, relatable characters and awesome and unique storytelling.

i don't have much to say about this volume since it's just a monster-of-the-week, transitory deal. we're introduced to more of the ax on the way to rome and fight some vampires on the way.

some of the battles are hard to follow, and i consider myself a pro at following fights, and also the train part confused me because it went by too fast.

reading the earlier volumes, i can see how the artwork has gotten better down the line and i'm excited to get to my favorite arcs in this series.

also, esther is my gf and all these dudes need to keep their hands off of her ok.

This is a reread for me. This manga actually has some similarities to dance in the vampire bund in that the leaders of the vampires and the humans are trying to forge a peace together. However, that’s not apparent in the first two volumes. The three main characters here are Father Abel Nightroad, a crusnik, a type of vampire who feeds on other vampires (he’s quite fond of telling his prey that HE is the top of the food chain so there), Father Tres Iqus (the Vatican’s combat droid because the Catholic church would be so much more interesting with combat/assassin droids, just saying) and Sister Esther Blanchett.

Esther is out for vengeance against the Methuselahs, as the vampires are called, for killing her friends and family. She’s teamed up with Dietrich, a young man who is not what he seems. Her path crosses the good Fathers’ and the trio work their way toward Rome. Abel appears to be a bumbling oaf until of course battle is engage and then as the crusnik he is a beautiful avenging angel sort. Father Tres has the predicable lack of emotion but is rather protective of Esther. At this point, it’s mostly Esther’s story as she goes from the typical timid female to someone a bit stronger by the time 6 months have passed in Rome. The real threads of the plot have yet to emerge. The first two volumes basically introduce you to the characters and their world. The art is odd, occasionally beautiful, sometimes muddy but not the worst I’ve ever seen. The story lines are interesting enough and Abel and Tres especially are fun characters. Esther is taking her time at becoming interesting. The mangaka died in the middle of this series and it was finished by friends.

Re-read 2021: AHHHHH This was just too fantastic. A traintrip ends up with our trio stuck in the middle of nowhere (the battle and all that happened was fantastic), a forest with a spirit waiting for her lover (which was both sad and scary but also very awesome because I love what she could do), then there is a town with a new priest (who I like but also kind of find a creepy, hello personal space please, also were you planning on just playing dead when Esther went through that????), and a cruise ship with a very sexy siren and some more things. It was all a ride and I love the combo of seriousness and battles and blood along with silly moments and humour. It makes it fun and entertaining.
GORGEOUS art.

Kyujyo’s standard of art is on point, as always. Volume 2 is goofier than I like, but still a good read.

Me encanta que cada vez entiendo menos. Creo que la traducción que encontré no es de las mejores. Abel, Tres y Esther son mejor que los tres chiflados

Absolutely stunning. From the gorgeous character design to the clear earnestness shown by the characters. This manga is a joy to read.

We’ve had just little glimpses of the universe of the manga and you can already see the threads not just for the plot points but for the themes that will be touched to. All of this with dexterity and accompanied by fantastic paneling and efficient worldbuilding.

There is something so satisfying and touching about having characters that believe in each other so openly and demonstrate love without withholding their feelings. This isn’t even reserved for Abel and Esther as main leads, everyone has no problem stating their morals and the way their body language is used to show their closeness makes me have butterflies in my stomach. I love it so much.

I finished this dying to discuss the "Gunmetal Hound" chapters with someone. I love Tres, but "Gunmetal Hound" turned my brain inside out.

So I have started on The Shadow Cabinet, but this book just happen to come in early at my local library so I had to pick it up and read it within a day. Because that's just how fast I can read a manga. Now that it is finish and out of the way I can get back to reading the last book in the Shadow London series. Here is a quick glimpse into my thoughts at the current moment; so many feels that your emotional over loaded with grief. If that doesn't tell you about the first 50 pages I don't know what will.

As for my thought towards the Trinity Blood series, I starting to remember why some of these types of books make my angry. They like to put in a lot and I mean a lot of back and filler story lines. My word really did this book have a weird joining of stories that honesty were not need. Which could be why the adaptation on the tv was mainly about finding out the tri is a robot and the introduction to a new character that could be a lion. Not really sure thought but their was a artwork that showed a lion with the same kind face as the new character. Yet, that could just be fan work that made it into the book. I really don't know. What I do know is that the sub plot of the book may have to do with the abel and cain story from the Bible. Which is about two brothers that were the first children of Adam and Eve. Cain commites the first sin which is killing his brother Abel. There are many theories as to what motivated the killing but since there is not a sure answer it could be anything. As to how this old religious story ties into our vampire manga series I don't have an answer. All I can say is that Abel in the book is or could be the Abel in the story. Yet, if that is so why is he a monster or a vampire? Shouldn't it be Cain who would be the monster? Unless the author is retelling this religious text. These question are what drives me to read more of this series and hopeful I can answer some of those question in the next review.

After a lot of thinking I finally decided to start another volume of this manga and to be honest I was slightly surprised. Some plot finally started to appear even though it's just a glimpse to it meaning "This manga has a plot, but we won't show you it just yet". Finally we get to see what Vatican Priests are doing on their missions which explains how Abel ended up meeting Esther. Apparently Abel is getting the most horrible missions of them all. Personally this adds a bitter flavor to this whole manga. I don't want any characters to be so pathetic when actually they are practically unbeatable, plus immortal. I still don't understand Abel's reasons why he doesn't want Esther to know that he's a Krusnik but I hope this will be explained later. Another thing that actually annoyed me is how this manga feels "episodic". We have them in the woods and suddenly we have our protagonists on the boat and this sudden change makes you fall out and stop your reading trying to add 2 and 2. Probably the best thing of this volume is that "shoujo" is suppressed to a minimum and I could actually understand who's saying what. Cheers to that. I gave this volume 3 starts because even if it's better than the first one it's still lacking in plot and characters.

I'm still on the fence how I feel about this series so far. I do really enjoy it, but Abel is so much life Vash that it really does drive me crazy. Also, much like the Trigun series, sometimes during the fight scenes, I can't really tell what is going on so I feel a bit confused. Also much like Trigun, during some of the regular panels, I can't tell who is talking. So that also lends to a bit of confusion.

I do really like the storyline and the characters. I just wish Abel wasn't such a rip off of Vash the Stampede. But Tres is pretty awesome! And I LOVED Leon! (who, of course, ironically reminded me of Nicholas D. Wolfwood)

I'll keep reading and hopefully grow out of my frustration...hopefully (haha I think I mentioned that last time too :-p)

I have got nothing to say: this is my favorite series, as story and whole universe. The anime got me breathless1 And the manga is nothing worse. I will keep reading it... the whole series, I mean!!

Well, I kind of knew by heart the first chapters (this volume, precisely) and the first episodes of Trinity Blood anime, so the story did not WOW-ed me a certain way, except for Tres' appearence in here.

Anyway... I love the graphic in anime because it was so bright and gorgeous, but I also love this graphic too because it's unique and nice and it makes you wanna keep reading it.

Who knows? I might already start another volume, though, I repeat, I know the story by heart.

Having learned my lesson from writing short little reviews for the Vampire Hunter D manga, I'm just straight up going to say that the art for this is gorgeous. My only complaint is that it's sometimes a little too heavy on the fanservice, but it's otherwise really well put-together. I love the characters and the plot – which builds itself as the volumes progress, revealing the world to us gradually and making it seem very, very real. Overall, this is one of my favourite mangas and I'm really disappointed that the English release hasn't been continued.

2nd in this series. Enter Tre Iqus, known as "The Gunslinger," and also a Vatican AX enforcement officer. He's not human, he's a machine with feelings. So handsome we love to love him. Also, some other new fun characters to enjoy here. I forget to mention the darling Esther Blanchett who is the novice nun vampire hunter...strong and brave. She's such a beautiful and daring addition to the group.

I like this series. But some really strange things happen in it. The priest makes me laugh. At one point Ester needs to be rescued and a new guy shows up Leon Garcia De Astura's. He was making me laugh with asking her out on dates and the way he acted.

Apenas uma personagem interessante no que de resto é um mar sem sal. Talvez agora que finalmente chegaram a Roma fique mais interessante, mas honestamente não estou com grande pressa de descobrir, em especial quanto tenho tantas outras mangas para experimentar.

I just can't seem to connect with the characters or the storyline so I won't be continuing for now. Maybe I'll pick it back up someday because the art really is gorgeous. It's weird because I usually like this type of manga. Perhaps I'm just in a reading slump right now.
