Fujishima Takara goes to high school and will start living in a dorm because he has lost all his family except for his father, who's always away for his work. Takara has to share a room with Kosaka Kyomine. Living together isn't easy, and many rows ensue. Kyomine is very introvert, while Takara is just the opposite. At first the two get on each other's nerves because of those differences. But things turn towards friendship and later on towards love. (from B-U)
During 2010, she was on hiatus because she was republishing her old manga, in which she was retaining the original plot and updating the artwork.
Alongside with publishing in Kadokawa Shoten, her work is also published in Emerald which is a collaborative shoujo/BL manga magazine with Nakamura Shungiku (author of the renowned Junjou Romantica and more recently, Hybrid Child) originated from the manga Sekaiichi Hatsukoi.
Manga roommate lain yg lumayan menghibur tapi kelewat bertele-tele adalah shoujo manga Hanazakari no Kimitachi e/Hana Kimi/For You in Full Blossom yg gambarnya makin lama makin jelek ke belakangnya.
Entahlah, baca yg kedua kali inipun utk respon akhirku tetap : MOREEEE PLEASEEEE!!!! XD Melihat gimana perjalanan Takara menundukkan Kiyomine yg awalnya serigala ganas gitu jadi anjing peliharaan yg penurut, huahaha. X( Bukannya cuma "he's my most important person, my number 1" gitu aja, arghhhhh ini berlaku juga buat Kashiwagi x Okuno, bikin sisi fujoshi-ku geregetan liatnya krn minim fan service bgt! Ada lagi sho-ai karyanya Abe-sensei yg judulnya Kimi wa Boku o Suki ni Naru/You Will End Up Falling for Me tapi cuma kuberi 3 stars, seingatku ceritanya lumayan angsty, dan aku sudah lupa alasan kuberi 3 stars itu. Kadang kalau aku ga sengaja liat rating2 yg kuberi dulu, aku suka bertanya-tanya, kenapa sih komik atau novel yg ceritanya biasa gini bisa kuberi rating tinggi, atau kok komik/novel yg bagus gini cuma kuberi 3 stars. Makanya (kadang kalau lagi mood dan rajin) aku suka nulis review panjang2 sebagai note atau pengingat buat diri sendiri, alasan knp kuberi rating segitu.

#1 (28 Sep 2013) :
Habis baca komik2 yg "berat" isinya seperti Zankoku na Kami ga Shihai Suru, ganti haluan ke yg "ringan". Nah yg satu ini memang shounen-ai (light BL, only kiss no sex like yaoi), tapi bahkan masi tergolong super duper light buat genre shounen-ai (seperti Silver Diamond) sampai2 yg ga terbiasa baca kisah BL pun dijamin bisa menoleransinya, krn kisahnya ga cuma berfokus pada kedua tokoh utama saja, tapi juga kisah kehidupan para tokoh pendamping...Lihat saja volume bukunya sampe 26... Pgn baca ulang sih, tapi wow, 26 volume... o_O masih banyak komik lain yg ngantri...
Such a heartwarming story. I like it so much! :)
I madly in lovee with this series!! I adore this manga!! One of my favorite BL/shounen ai manga of all time. Okay first of all, this manga is looooong, the author have released (at least) 23 or more book as i remember, of course i havent finish read this series yet which is sooo excititing bcos i can keep reading this series in the future and i've been holding mysefl back to not finish this series as soon as posible. Second, ohh goshhh!! I adore the two main characters sooo so much, they are so adorable, i love the dynamic betwen the two of them, i love the hate to love relationship/friendship, i love that they seem to hate each other so much but but in reality they like each other and cant live without one another in the end of the day, i also adore side character so much they are just lovely and i also love their own story in the series. This manga doesn't have much love scene or love dovey scene and the dont have sex scene at all, its pure only about Boys that hate each other and love each other and about how they spend their dorm and school life. And dont get me wrong i loove the story, plot, characters, the world that theyvlive in. I love Abe miyuki sensei (the author) work so much, im gratefull that this series exist. I dont know what to say anymore, i just love this series!! I love the characters!! I love Fujishima and Kiyomine!! Highly recomend!!!!!
I first read this series in 2012, it was my first shounen ai before I started stumbling down the yaoi/bara hole 😂😂I loved it so much back then and read it multiple times despite the length. It took a while to remember the name but I did and I’m so happy. Getting reacquainted with all the characters has been a joy, the love/hate dynamic between Kiyomine and Takara, the amazing bond they share in the Kaze no Mon dorm led by my favorite character - Kashiwagi Reichi ❤️ 11 years later and he’s still my favorite, some things never change haha. I’ve been reading a lot of my first manga and it feels so nostalgic but I also realize that there’s a lot I missed while reading them as a teenager that I can now fully grasp as an “adult.”
*This review is for the series as a whole with 4.5 out of 5 stars*
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS MANGA!
This manga is definitely far from what I imagined because I only expected lots and lots of boys love but this one gave me more than that. Unlike the previous boys love manga that I’ve read before, this one is very wholesome and super super cute which I definitely love. Ofcourse I love pure boys love story but I also love slice of life so the idea of combining the two together hits big for me! It was great that the author was able to combine them together so flawlessly, plus there’s a lot of funny parts too which doubled my enjoyment.
I don’t think I have any complaints with the story at all. I just said I love it didn’t I?, hahaha. I think the only thing that I find confusing at times were the illustrations of some characters. There’s just some characters that almost look the same so it gets me confused at times. But overall, I think it wasn’t that big of a deal since as you can see on the rating above, I ENJOYED the story overall.
I mention this a lot of times on my reviews, but whenever I watch or read something, I always take notes. And as for this manga, the majority of what I wrote is the word cute. This manga is just so cute that I think on every page that I come across, I always utter the word cute, hahaha.
As for the main characters, I love the combination of the cute Fujishima Takara and the handsome Kiyomine Hosaka. They were like cats and dogs at the beginning and how it escalated to what they are now is just very rewarding to read. During the first volume they were bickering and then eventually got very so close together. Although they still keep on fighting once in a while, you can really see that it was different than before. They’re like a married couple really, hahahaha. I love seeing Takara, he’s just really so cute that I want to squeeze him. I also love his personality, I just love how caring he is, and that innocent side of him is so cute to read most of the time, hahaha. So adding that tough side on him really surprised me, but I think that makes his character even more enjoyable to read.
Kiyomine on the other hand is like your typical shoujo main male lead. He’s gorgeous, intelligent, rich, etc. And adding that sister complex to his character was quite entertaining to read, although there were times that I want to strangle him for that. Why? Because whenever his sister is involved, he can utter such hurtful words to Takara and it’s pissing me off. That backstory of him was also very sad to read so seeing how he changed after meeting Takara is so heartwarming. That was definitely a nice character development on his part.
Aside from the main leads, I also love most of the other characters in this story too. I love how the author also takes time to showcase other characters too which will make us get to know more about them and eventually get to understand their way of thinking. There were ofcourse some annoying characters here too, but whenever I see Takara and Kiyomine being so sweet together, my annoyance just magically disappears. And oops, I almost forgot hahaha, there were some other characters here too that you can help but ship together, so look out for them, *wink.
That ending was kind of lacking for me since I WANT TO SEE TAKARA AND KIYOMINE KISSING but it was still a nice hopeful ending overall.
Looking for a nice wholesome boys love story with a slice of life? Then I definitely recommend Komatta Toki ni wa Hoshi ni Kike. I can guarantee that you will enjoy this too!
This is one of the best shounen-ai manga. The story development and the plot was great. The characters were well portrayed that you'll grow to love each of them. Also, the pace on how the characters grow and each relationship have develop was just right. I read this book for the nth time. And I don't get tired reading this again and again. You'll love the comedy in it, the little drama, the conflict between characters especially between Kiyomine and Takara and of course the little romance \(^o^)/.
I'm usually pretty good at figuring out who is who in a multi-character manga, but I'm having a hard time with this one mainly because Kinomine and his cousin look the same to me... I end up looking at their clothing to clue me in. Hopefully the drawings get better and there are better distinctions about the many characters.
As to the story, it's interesting that the two MCs are very strong-willed. Typically, one is stronger personality-wise so I'm curious to see how it develops.
MUST READ. The central relationship is like none other I’ve come across in the genre. To understand flaws and accept them, the main pairing transcend the meaning of friendship and rocket into something unfamiliar.
Ambiguous ending. No smut. Some kisses, some gender-bending.
I will own all the volumes one day. Thank you Abe Miyuki.

I love this series. The art is very clear, and the cast of characters are both relatable and likable. The story can be a bit drawn-out, but is always interesting. Miyuki Abe does a very good job a mediating between humor and seriousness. Overall this series is very enjoyable and I highly recommend it.
