In the year 3030, an alien race named the Thrakorian’s invaded Earth, and won.

Over twenty years later, the humans have finally discovered the truth behind their invasion, albeit too late. The Thrakorian’s weren’t on Earth to protect or to preserve the dying planet and its overpopulated race. They had an ulterior motive. The were there on a research mission, looking to their distant cousins for aspects of their DNA that might be used to help cure the Thrakorian’s of a vicious disease plaguing their kind—Ehrad.

Having taken what they wanted, they’ve left the Earth behind to die, along with billions of humans refused sanctuary on their home planet of Thrakor. And so, with their precious human cargo in tow, the Thrakorian’s are headed home with hopes of a better life for all those affected by the Ehrad disease once they reach it.

Aboard their mother ship, Kyra Millan has been stowed away by her boyfriend and Thrakorian superior, Thrayke. His plan is to keep her hidden while onboard and then sneak her home with him so they can be together, but all without the attentive eye of their leader, King Kronus, watching over them. Watching her.

If only things were that simple…

We pick up just where we left off at the end off at the end of Autonomy and begin to deal with Kyra’s struggle of not only dealing with the complete demise of Earth but also that she must suffer in silence, literally, as the task of not being discovered aboard the Thrakorian mothership must take priority. With only a usually absent Thrayke as an outlet for her outpouring of grief, Kyra’s once agile and analytical mind starts to stall, but the end of their journey is in sight. Despite having the HEA all planned out, risks need to be taken unexpectedly which leads to disastrous consequences for Kyra. Whilst she arrives on Thrakor undetected by King Kronus, it’s fair to say her arrival is far from safe and Thrayke is unknowingly on a race against time…..

So LC Morgans has done it again, given us a book so full of twists that you’re head is left spinning! At about ¾ way through i realised that there had already been so many plot twists that I had no idea where the book could go next. The tone and pace of the book was constantly changing in surprising and unexpected ways. Kyra’s physical and mental presence is pushed to every one of its limits, sometimes uplifting, often punishing, I have to admit that I did have an ugly cry moment, which I don’t have often!

There is so much I want to say about this book and I know it is unusual for me to be so brief in my reviews but if I say any more I’m sure to inadvertently give something away. This series really does go from strength to strength although be warned, there is the mother of all cliffhangers coming your way!

Resonant...I was so excited by this book coming out and man, I wasn't disappointed. Just as I was hoping that Kyra would finally get the life she's fought for....WHAM in ways you'd never imagine!

Such great twists and turns, characters I didn't expect and those I did, exceeding my expectations for them.  Thrayke is just soooooo dreamy and almost Mr Perfect! Where can I find one!?

Arriving on Thrakor provides so many new challenges and new people being introduced. How will King Kronos take the news of Kyra on the planet!!?????

My heart did do little flips in the book....who will she choose? The love of her life or the man of her dreams!? I was so pleased with the outcome.

I couldn't believe the ending...all I can say is roll the next book!!!

I was reading this and getting frustrated that I was hitting 80% and then 90% as I didn't want it to end! I was even late for the school run!!!

Hurry up Mrs Morgan....I'm too eager for book 4!!!

The female lead yet again kicked ass! This story showed how strong she can be!
Halfway through the story there is a massive twist! I was actually traumatised and threatened the author hmthat i would not read any more of her books!
This book kept me on my toes and cannot wait for the next installment!

Resonant- Invasion day book 3 by L.C Morgans

This is a YA sci-fi series and is the third in the series. The first two books must be read in order to understand what's happening in this story. If you have read them don't read the rest of this review!
Through the first 2 books we have seen Kyra go through so much crap and come out the other side then thrown back in again. L.C Morgans left us with a crucifying cliff hanger at the end of book 2 and I'm happy to report that book 3 starts exactly where book 2 left us hanging to our sanity by a thread!
This story shows a completely different side to many of the characters in here but mainly Kyra. It's brilliant to see how the characters have matured through the series and I honestly can't wait to read more! Yes that's right this isn't the end and yes you will be left hanging by a thread again but it would be L.C Morgans work if we wasn't let's face it.
The writing flows beautifully throughout and still to this day it is the ONLY YA series to keep me interested as these types of books are not my usual go to book!
Where some loose ends are tied up the plot line thickens and L.C Morgans has done an amazing job with not only this book but the entire series.
The descriptive language used leaves little to the imagination and I think it's some of the best work I've seen produced by this author.
My 13 year old son is now enjoying this series and it has given us something to talk about away from the usual mum and son stuff and I'm delighted that we share the love we have for this series.
Thanks L.C Morgans for another wonderful addition to this series and I cannot wait to see where we go next.
5* from me.

Like the other two before this, not a bad story, but too many repetitions, and too much thinking/thought processes and not enough action.
And actually, ending the books on cliffhangers, to "make" (?) the reader buy the next one in the series? That puts me off, to be honest. I love reading series, with a thread going through all of them, and a main theme, in lack of a better word, but I prefer each to be "read-alone-able", not so much a standalone but to have a proper ending in itself, and a plot of its own, while not losing the main plot out of sight.

Having read the first two books in The Invasion Day series I was excited to read number three, Resonant. I certainly was not disappointed! I have learnt to expect many twists and turns by the author, LC Morgans, and many there were. There were hard decisions for Kyra to make, but I was happy with her decision. Such a talented writer as I cannot wait to find out what happens next, but wow, what a cliff hanger!

We are back in the Invasion day series, with Kyra and the Thrakorians. When the last book finished, Kyra was in a bad place. She had found out some information that was a shock to her system.
Thrayke hides Kyra away on his ship back to his home planet. He's always been there to pick up the pieces whenever she has been broken, and this time is no different. But there's people out to get them and soon people realise she is on the ship. Can they really have a HEA or are they doomed from the start?
I absolutely love Kyra. She's a fighter through and through and even though she loses herself for a long time, she gets the old strong willed Kyra back in the end.
I found the story slow to begin with, there wasn't a lot happening and it didn't keep my interest. but it soon picked up and it felt like we hadn't been away from these characters at all.
There were some twists to the story that I didn't see coming. There were heart breaking moments, sad moments and happy moments.I thought we might of had a bit of a love triangle going on at the end but I'm glad we didn't. While I love Kronus, I don't think he and Kyra are suited. But I would love a story about Kronus finding his true love.

It was just okay! I can't say I like to direction this book took, at all. I was quite disappointed in the storyline itself... BUT I did really like a few parts, especially the build up to their relationship.

I wish we could have explored the new world more, rather than be in one building the entire story.... but I did like connecting to past characters and meeting new ones!

AND HOLY ENDING WTF?! That ending alone will probably have me read book 4, damnit.

Returning to the invasion day series was like returning home to my futuristic love. Getting more Thrayke - who could want more from these giant men who are more human than they like to think!

Kyra had being stowed away on the ship headed to safety on Thraks' home planet. But she hadn't gone unnoticed. With those wishing to gain more from Kyra, her happily ever after was far from beginning.

Excerpt:
Giving in was unmistakably the only way to stop it. Kyra realised she was disappearing a thought at a time and that Paynton was slowly taking over. Letting go was freeing, but also terrifying.

With her future uncertain, and science against her she loses a year of her life to a monster. And loses not only herself emotionally but physically too. The strong-willed Kyra we know and love is broken down in order to survive.

Excerpt:
One day, Kyra hoped she'd be that strong and self-assured woman who questioned everything and everyone again, but for now she'd been bested, and all she could think about was spending time with those she'd loved and lost. Those she'd missed so much it'd torn her apart from the inside out.

With help arriving from someone Thrayke didn't want to ask help from would be the new beginning everyone needed. But with a disease deteriorating the futuristic race, Kyra would this time be the key to helping...

Excerpt:
We're going to fix you...We're going to fix us all, you'll see.

With Kronus, Thrayke and Kyra fighting for the human race and the key to evolution of human and thraks we see what could be a love triangle evolve and grown stronger. With a few hiccups along the way.

Excerpt:
Earth changed me, Kyra. You changed me. If it hadn't been for you, I might've never seen a works outside the tiny prison I'd made for myself there....it was only you and your questioning gaze that ever made me step outside my comfort zone. We did awful things to your race, terrible things...

I found it utterly brilliant that Kyra was going to go on to help those who had taken away the human race as she knew it. The humans who had caused her nothing but pain.

A true sci-fi romance story that once again captured me heart and soul. This series always takes me in directions I never imagined and opens my eyes to a whole new world and I immersed myself in it...

Final excerpt:
They could be happy here, surrounded by humans and Thrakorian's alike, but also those who knew about or would come to understand their connection. They would be accepted and Kyra wanted that more than anything else in the world.

Resonant (Invasion Day 3) by LC Morgans

### 5 Huge Stars ###

Absolutely, completely and utterly in love with this series! Wow, this book is even better thank the first two (which were amazing) this ones much darker, more twisted and I love everything about it!

This is book 3 and they do need to be read in order. This book kept me on the edge of my seat throughout, anxious to know what was coming next - there really wasn't a dull moment.

I wrongly thought this would be the end of this series, how happy am I that there's more to come but so damn annoyed at that cliffhanger ....hurry with book 4 I need my fix now !

This was an easy 5* for me, personally I would have given more if I could - I love this series and highly recommend to any post apocalyptic/sci-fi lover.
