I subscribed to this on a whim when I attended the 2005 Neiman Narrative Journalism Conference and have been surprised how much I've enjoyed reading them. Great stories, true stories, written by very talented writers. They're short and easy to digest.
Plus, they inspire me to try to be a better writer. I usually finish the biannual volumes thinking, "Gee, I wish I could write like that. I suck in comparison to these people."
