As an accomplished interior designer in San Francisco’s Bay Area, Zoë Jenkins is used to transforming empty spaces into masterpieces. She leaves little square footage in her personal life for anything outside of her thriving business and a renewed relationship with her twin brother. After a decade spent ripped apart by circumstance and an entire ocean’s distance, she depends on no one but him. Until a sexy surgeon walks into her life.

Although Zoë can’t deny her attraction to the charming and benevolent Morgan Drake, he’s on her mental list of everything she should avoid. Past experience taught Zoë that dating clients compromises business. Add a not-yet-dissolved marriage to the mix and Doctor Hottie is definitely Doctor Off-limits.

Dr. Morgan Drake is surprised at the undeniable chemistry he feels when he’s in the same room as Zoë. The strikingly beautiful and solitary designer he hired to fill his new-start, new-city home makes it abundantly clear there will never be anything between them. But twelve years of medical school breeds persistence. He sets out to persuade the pants off Zoë Jenkins and show her what her empty spaces are missing.

Intense passion and amazing sex have a way of masking secrets-secrets that unravel a dangerous web of fraud, corruption and conspiracy that turn Zoë’s quiet spaces into a world where nothing is as it seems. With her life on the line, the good doctor responsible for her fiercest betrayal might just be the only one worthy of her finest interior masterpiece-this time, of her heart.

Title: Love M.D
Series: Standalone
Author: Rebecca Rohman
Release date: 24th February, 2015
Rating: 3.5 "Love Px" stars
Cliffhanger: No

Love M.D was a lovely departure from the trend of books I have been reading of late, in fact it's a nice little reminder of how much I can still enjoy reading about characters who aren't driven by their dark secrets, tragic pasts or the need to meddle in BDSM. Rebecca Rohman created a wonderful mix of steam, seduction and suspense.

Zoë Jenkins is a highly sought after interior designer, her success however ever is not replicated in her love life. After a disastrous marriage she vows to never again mix business and pleasure choosing instead to focus on her career, the only constant in her life along with her brother.

Enter Dr Morgan Drake, new to the area he hires Zoë with the intention of transforming his home except our darling designer does more than just that. So taken is he with her, Morgan sets out to redesign Zoë emotional clutter.

Another aspect I enjoyed was the couple being just that. I worried Zoës reluctance would become frustrating but the story quickly moved on from that giving way to the heavy suspense element to the story. Events occur which rock Zoës world forcing her reevaluate more than her relationship with Morgan.

As much as I had a good read there were a few niggly bits that prevented me from giving it a full 4 stars. The amount of drama involved at times felt over the top and as cruel as I feel for saying this considering how much she went through, I found Zoë irritating at times. I very much liked Morgan as a hero, he was ever the gentleman, romantic and swoony in all the right right places and not, where it counted.

I feel in the interests of fairness I should start this review by saying I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I continue by saying anyone who knows me and knows my integrity, as both a reader and reviewer, knows this is not a secret code for I will blow smoke up the a$$ of an author because they gave me an advanced copy. I will give credit where it's due and this is another 5 star read from Rebecca Rohman.

Zoë Jenkins is a San Francisco Bay Interior Designer. She is very good in her job but not so good in her love life. She has been hurt in the past after she made the fatal mistake of mixing business with pleasure and got her fingers burnt in the form of her sleazy ex Todd. It is not a mistake Zoë will make again. EVER. Until her friend puts her in touch with Dr Morgan Drake (aka Dr Hottie), who is in need of some work to his new home.

Dr Morgan Drake is finalizing a messy divorce. He is also a very successful surgeon and philanthropist. The last thing he is looking for is a relationship. All that is about to change when Zoë Jenkins comes into his life. The chemistry between the two makes the air in a room pulse and is undeniable. Zoë can only deny Dr Hottie for so long but a life changing event and the game of cat and mouse that ensues could rock them both to their very core.

Yet again Rebecca does an amazing job of merging romance and suspense and intrigue in a way no other does. Not only does Rebecca draw you into the main characters but does a great job submerging you into the lives of side characters, which is no easy feat. There are twists and turns usually only reserved for an epic movie.

Sterling job Rebecca - my only complaint is the books don't come quick enough ;)

4.5 Stars

Zoe is an Interior Designer, great at her job and owns a thriving business. Due to her past, she has become an introvert and one thing she is adamant on is to follow a strict code of professionalism. And in no way, no how anyone can break that code until her friend Jada had given her a recommendation. This new client will sure test her boundaries.

Dr. Morgan Drake, a pre-divorcee new in town and looking to start anew. With a lofty budget, he hires Zoe to design and furnish his new pad leading him the need to pursue her. But before their HEA there will be a string of hardships they would have to endure. Love, loyalty and forgiveness will be their saving grace.

Ms. Rohman infused this romance novel with a murder mystery that had me guessing the whole time. The romance between Zoe and Morgan was swoon-worthy. Not to mention the hint of McSteamy in Morgan that made this read irresistible. Zoe was just as great. She earned my respect the moment she made the decision, not to date customers and or a married man. Cheating is just a total no-no for me.

Ms. Rohman also touches on sibling love, family feud and loss of a loved one. I was bummed with the outcome of Zoe’s brother’s story. I was hoping there would be more about him. Unfortunately, with things as they are, it is not going to happened. I am, however, am excited for more of Ms. Rohman’s work.

There were some spots on the book I found slow but overall a very satisfying read. Though Love M.D. and Love, Lies and the D.A. are not in a series, there is a cross-over of characters between the books. If you haven’t had the chance to read either of these books, I suggest you consider. It doesn’t matter which book you start with first as they are both stand alone reads.

This book is phenomenal!! I love this book!!! There are so many emotions that pour out when you read. You get excited, cry a little, shocked, scared, mad I mean it is emotionally charged. It's suspenseful and mysterious.

Now add in a hot, sexy surgeon with charisma and you have Morgan Drake! I absolutely love him! He's caring! Has a big heart! Wants to do the right thing!

And we have Zoe Jenkins, interior designer extraordinaire, who's had her fair share of a broken heart. She is scared to let love back into her heart. But with the help of her brother Zach, who's told her to take a chance, she does.

Given a referral by her client friend, Jada Kole, (I'm so happy to see Jada and Jonathan throughout the book) Zoe goes to the home of an "older" doctor who needs his new home made over. But when the door open nothing screams old about Doctor Drake! He answers the door wet and bare chested!

I love how Morgan pursues Zoe when she has told him, a) she will not get involved with another client and b) he's married. He sends her a clock with a countdown to the number of days he will be divorced and how many days are left that he is a client if hers. He pulls out all the stops to get Zoe. And just when things are going well between the two. Zoe has her heartbroken. Morgan tries to help her understand to the best he could but sometimes it doesn't cut it. But Morgan vows to always help and protect Zoe no matter what. Things aren't adding up and Zoe is determined to get to the bottom of things but at what cost?

As the come back together after Zoe realizes Morgan is what she not only wants but needs they go off on a vacation. But things take a turn and their lives are about to be changed.

Who can Zoe turn to when Morgan isn't there to protect her?? Will she get the answers that has brought all of these horrible events to her?

This books has so many twist and turns. So many events leading up to the end of the book. This is a book that you get captivated right from the start and you do not want to put down. I love this book and can't wait I read more from Rebecca!

Don't hesitate one click this book!!

Absolutely loved this book. I read it in about a day. I could not put it down. Rebecca writes suspense with a great love story written in. I was on the edge of my seat with this book. You will love it.

Zoe is an interior designer who was recently reunited with her twin brother. Dr Morgan Drake is recently divorced. We follow them throughout the book through the ups and downs of their dating.

I fell in love with these characters and hope to see more of them in future books. Love all of Rebecca Rohman's novels!!! So fortunate I was able to read this before it released.

OK, so I FLOVED the first book in this series and as much as I loved it, this book was very good but paled in comparison. Maybe it's me, it's been awhile since I read the first and my reading habits/types have changed.

The writing itself was 5 stars, superb, this author can write. I mean her storyline flows so seamlessly and smoothly that I feel like I am literally "watching" an episode on tv because I am that engrossed in it and it's characters.

Morgan and Zoe were great but I felt like the storyline got bogged down with too much, at least for me, suspense and elements outside of just them and I felt myself getting antsy and yes, a bit bored. The action/suspense theme is good BUT I don't want it overshadowing my couple and in this storyline for me, it did.

Now, will I continue on with Megan's story, oh hell yes, I am totally invested in this whole group of characters and I have that story sitting on my Kindle as I write.

Overall another great read, this author is so very talented:)

Okay, so the minute I heard that this book was being written I was like this:
description

Yes, it was Christmas for me but I was incredibly impatient waiting for its release. I was just bursting to read it! I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! So now, without further ado, let's get to the book!

Paging, Doctor Hottie! You loved McDreamy and McSteamy? Then come and check out Dr. Morgan Drake. He is kind, compassionate, selfless, honourable and unbelievably good-looking. Plus, he has a very good bedside manner, if you catch my drift ;) But more on that later. Let me introduce you to the leading lady, Zoë Jenkins. Strong, determined, and independent. Everything you want in a female protagonist. When she first meets Dr. Drake, there is an immediate attraction. However, past events have caused Zoë to impose certain rules. No dating clients. She will just decorate his home and that’s it. But the good doctor has other ideas. He is a determined man and has all the patience in the world. Plus, he always gets what he wants ;) and, right now, his sights are on Zoë.

[quote] "You're persistent."

"I usually get what I want." He smiles with a cute, boyish grin.

"And what? I'm the commodity you think you're going to have, Doctor Drake?" I retort in amusement.

"I think you're way too beautiful and classy a lady for me to ever think of you as a commodity." [end quote]

Aw, what a charmer! The story alternates between Zoë and Morgan so we get to see his point of view, which is great! And if you’ve read Love, Lies, and the D.A, guess who appears? Jonathan and Jada! :) They are brilliant.

Now Dr. Drake is just finishing up his divorce, which gives Zoë even more reason for her to stay away from him. She doesn’t want to be his rebound. But little by little, the two of them break down their walls and reveal snippets of their past. While Zoë resists Dr. Hottie, her brother Zach is determined for her to allow the man into her life. He knows what she is missing because he has just found his perfect match. The brother and sister are adorable. They are so close and their bond is wonderful. I loved how he teased his sister.

[quote] “Hmm… getting regular injections yet?” [end quote].

Lol! Cheeky that boy is I tell you ;) Just as things seem to be going well, tragedy strikes. It devastates Zoë and triggers ripples that eventually place her at risk. Dr. Drake is unbelievably understanding and compassionate. He sticks by Zoë. Even when she tries to push him away, he refuses to leave her alone in her time of need. For him, it becomes a pursuit of justice and truth. He needs to find out what went wrong and keep the woman he loves safe. The deeper the two of them look, the more tangled the web becomes. There are shocks and surprises around every corner.

description

Yes, I was definitely like that! I couldn't believe what was happening! All of you are going to be on a roller coaster ride! But don't worry, there are also steamy moments to get us hot under the collar.

[quote] “You’re going to cause me to have an accident.”

“You started it…”

“I’ve created a devil,” he laughs. [end quote]

And the hotness that follows this car conversation, phew! ;) Let’s breathe for a minute… and oh my goodness! Rebecca Rohman uses the song Wicked Games! Oh, and what happens in that scene is wicked indeed! ;) Definitely think it's my favourite! Dr. Drake isn't just good at the wickedness, he is incredibly sweet. So considerate and loving. *sigh*

description

However, Zoë is afraid of her feelings for Dr. Drake and is scared to tell him what she feels. But she does love him immensely and who could blame her? Dramatic events continue and mamma mia! I cried and I may have yelled at my iPad a few times. What will happen to Zoë and Morgan? Will they both get the second chance they deserve? Or is it too late for them?

Rebecca Rohman’s writing is poignant and profound. It makes you feel incredible emotions for the characters. She always puts me through the emotional ringer. It is a testament to her writing that she is able to make me feel those intense emotions. As a reader, you become invested in the characters. Characters that become your friend, your family, and even your lover ;) But you feel this immense closeness to them and should something go wrong, your instincts kick in. You definitely want to run to their defence and fight for them. And that has everything to do with the writing. It is Rebecca’s elegant words that wash over you and call you into the world she conjures with each sentence she forms. There is drama, suspense, action, steamy moments, cute and tender scenes, and love. Everything you could possibly want in a good story. Block out a day, turn off your phone, and settle in for a remarkable journey to discover truth, pursue justice, and fall in love.

I first stumbled upon Rebecca Rohman about a year ago when one of my reading groups selected Love, Lies and the D.A. It was insta-love for me. So when I learned that she was working on her next project, I knew I had to get my hands on it. I was lucky enough to receive and ARC and devoured it in one day. She did not disappoint at all. She stayed true to her winning formula of stellar writing and great characters.

Love M.D. follows the story of Zoe, an interior designer with a booming business that she runs with her brother, Zach. I loved the relationship that she had with her brother. It was realistic and lighthearted even though they grew up with less than ideal circumstances. It truly shaped her character. She was bold, independent, savvy and just the right amount of vulnerable. When her good friend, Jada (yes that Jada from D.A.), sends a referral her way, Zoe's life is about to change in a big way.

Enter Dr. Morgan Drake do-gooder extraordinaire. He has a heart of gold that has been battered by his soon to be ex-wife. I liked that she was present in the story but not a major factor. When he meets Zoe, he knows that it is time to move forward with his life and he wants to do that with her. Now he just has to convince Zoe to get on board. Neither one can deny the attraction and chemistry but their past experiences make them wary. His patience and kindness really show in the way he pursues her yet gives her space at the same time. Things are on the up and up for them when tragedy strikes.

Whew- the chain of events that heartbreaking twist set off! From there on out, it was one twist and turn after the other. Yet through it all, there is this sweet, budding romance that is struggling to stay on solid ground. With so much at stake, it is no wonder Zoe and Morgan don't know which way to turn and who to trust. The threats are coming from all sides and lives are put in danger, more than once. The last 25-30% of the book was so intense I had to remember to breathe. My heart was pounding non-stop. When the clues started to fall into place, things really spiral out of control. I think my heart stopped and then beat out of my chest. Somehow, through all the trials Morgan and Zoe were able to solidify their relationship. Their little getaway was as sexy as it was sweet. Those two really steamed up the pages.

I was glad that Jada and Jonathan, whom I loved from her previous title, were featured in this novel. It was great to catch up with them and see how their life was going. The cast of secondary characters really added to the depth of the story. The relationships that everyone had only made Zoe and Morgan more relateable. Abby, Barney and Zach were my favorites.

I absolutely loved this book! I was up, down, sideways, backwards and a few other things. Rebecca Rohman delivered in a big way. I didn't think it was possible for me to like her more, but she really did her homework with this one. The attention to detail really paid off. Whether it was Morgan's house or some intricate detail about fabric, I could picture it clear as day. She had me guessing up until the very end and when it was all said and done I wanted more.

* The plot of the story was great. I loved the fact that she was so independent and really had everything she wanted at the time until she met Dr. Drake. They instantly had a connection to each other when they first met but seeing how he was her client she tried to stay clear of him but he had something else in mind. She finally let him in after she finished with his house. The issues that they both encountered were beyond anything other couples would go through in such a short amount of time. I loved the fact that he was so protective of her so soon into their relationship. He stood by her even when she thought that she didn't need him and was there for her every step of the way through probably one of the worst times in her life. This was probably one of the best love stories I have read in a while.

I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.

WOW I just finish reading this book, and I have to say that I love the characters, and love how the book turn out to be, wow I don't even know where to start with this review, I am gone write this different cause I don't want to give anything away.

I have to say that I love the way how Author Rebecca write her books. I did not wanted to finish reading this book at all, I wanted more, this book had me Mad, Sad and on the Edge of my seat, and I love every single minute of it even though I cried like a baby on one part of the book.

This is the story of Zoe and Morgan, in their story we get to read the twist and turns, and when ever I guess that I had it right, the story just throw me a curve ball, I couldn't guess what was going on, and when I thought that I had it right, I get Hit by another curve ball.

I love the character of Zoe, O.M.G. what can I say about Zoe, she when through so much, and lose so much in her life, but all that did was to make her stronger, and keep her fighting more, I love the way she is and love it how she don't take crap from no one.

I love the character of Morgan, love the way he is and how he protect those that he care for, love how passionate he is, and love it that when he makes a promise he keeps it.

The story begging with Zoe and her twin brother Zach, while they having dinner Zoe gets a phone call from her friend Jada, letting her know that she got a client for her and that he wants to meet before heading out to a business trip the next day, Zoe agree to meet up with this Doctor to see what is it that he wants to be done in his house. When Zoe arrive at the house she was not expecting for Doctor Morgan to be a Hottie, after they introduce each other, Morgan give her a tour of the house, he tell her that she could decorated his house however she wanted, but what neither of them where expecting was for the flirtation that stared a fun would turn out to be more. And for their life to be turn up side down.

I love and enjoy reading this book, love how Morgan and Zoe are with each other, and the Sex Scene are Hot, Author Rebecca Rohman THANK YOU for introducing to this Amazing characters and this Awesome book love it.

Let me just start off by saying that if I could give this book 10 stars I would!

I absolutely loved Love, Lies & the D.A. by Rebecca Rohman , it was one of my fav's of 2014 and I have been eagerly awaiting this book! To say that it was worth the wait would be a major understatement! Can you tell I loved it???
"Love M.D." is a fairly long book but not one page is wasted. This story is full of romance, suspense, danger, sex, and plenty of emotion. I found myself bawling my eyes out on quite a few occasions! For me the fact that a story can affect me in such a manor is a sign of something truly great.
description

These two characters have amazing chemistry and their steamy scenes are off the charts sexy!!!
description

Zoe has suffered through more than her share of heartache, because of this she feels the need to close herself off and keep to her small circle of friends. She is content with her life and is not looking for a man, especially one who happens to also be a client.
description

After a traumatic divorce, Morgan is ready to start over. Back home near his family he is focused on his career, his philanthropic work and getting his new house just right, Enter the beautiful and talented Zoe.
description

Their attraction is immediate and Morgan is more than ready to give things a go, but Zoe is a hard nut to crack!

The trials and tribulations these two characters have to face on their road to happiness are both heartbreaking and frightening. When it seems like all is lost can these two people survive and find their happily ever after???

I highly recommend this book and I am super excited for more from Ms. Rohman!

I have been waiting impatiently for Rebecca to finish this gem of a book!
This is the tale of the lovely and talented Zoe Jenkins. We were introduced to her in Love Lies & the D.A. She was the interior designer for Jada. She has since become friends with Jada and her new husband Jonathan. She is beautiful, smart, witty and oh so cautious gal. She has had her fair share of heartbreak and lies. She has been scorned in the love department and as a result has become reluctant to allow anyone in. She now shies away from new relationships. She and her brother have become inseparable since reuniting several years ago. He is her business partner, confidant and sounding board.
Morgan Drake is new in town and has recently taken a position at the local hospital as a surgeon. He is caring, compassionate, charismatic and oh so sexy! We certainly have encountered our own McSteamy in this book. When this man sets his mind to something he will do anything in his power to achieve it. He too has had his share of heartbreak. He is going through a bitter divorce and knows what it feels like to have true friends turn on you, be lied too and cheated on. He has recently decided that keeping his relationships "casual" is in his best interest. He is going to hold off for the right woman before he decides to ever take that leap again.
Zoe is asked by Jada and Jonathan to assist an older new physician in town redesign his old home. He has admired their home and loved what had been done with it by Zoe. The initial meeting takes them each by surprise they were both certainly knocked off kilter by one another. I loved the intensity and immediate attraction that was undeniable between them.
This is an amazing story filled with a plethora of emotions. It is sexy, smart, mysterious, heartbreaking, full of intrigue, lies and witty banter between the characters!
Rebecca takes us on an amazing journey with Zoe and Morgan!!! It is quite the tumultuous ride but oh so worth it!!!!

Oh man, what a book!!!! I first fell in love with Rebecca with Love, Lies, and the DA and could not wait to read this book. Love, Lies, and the DA was absolutely fabulous and I really didn't think she could beat that book, but boy was I wrong. This book surpassed all my expectations. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book!!! Morgan and Zoe are the perfect characters in my eyes. This book really had my emotions up and down and there were so many things where I was like....WTH, just happened?!? At one point, I messaged Rebecca screaming at her, going NOOOOOOOOO!!!! I was sitting at the nail salon getting a pedicure and all of a sudden started bawling. Poor nail tech thought she cut me, but I had to explain to her while tears were flowing that it wasn't her, it was this amazing book I was reading. And just when I thought I had it figured out, something else would happen and tell me NOPE you don't. That is the kind of book that I want to never end and beg to end all in one breath. This one really had it all. From heart break, love, suspense, steamy sex, a hot and stand up hero and a strong heroine. I really loved that Jonathon and Jada (from Love, Lies, and the DA) were in this book as well. The secondary characters made this book even better. I really can not say enough about how amazing this book was. It was one that I will be buying in paperback to cherish and reading the ebook over and over again. I can not wait to see what Rebecca does next!!! This book deserves more than 5+++ AMAZEBALLS stars!!! Seriously, go buy it. It is well worth it!! You won't be disappointed!! A copy was given in exchange of an honest review. Oh and FYI, Morgan Drake is MINE!!! I call dibs! Don't believe me, ask Rebecca!!! HEHEHEHE

Rohman writes this novel in the 1st person with dual perspectives, which really gives it extra depth. This well written novel had me guessing throughout as the author took us on an intriguing ride. The well-crafted & thought out plot has excitement, joy, romance, and some tears. Rohman takes a look at the world in a big way. This story is about so much more than simply two well off individuals coming together.

I appreciate the fact that the characters in this novel are grown up and act that way. They’re well established in their fields & don’t treat life’s rollercoaster as a perpetual melodrama. I really enjoyed how well we get to know the main characters in this novel. By switching perspectives between the two Rohman allows readers to get to know them both equally. The inside track on their inner monologues definitely made me giggle more than a time or two. I also appreciated getting to know the supporting cast. They were developed so that they were more than simply a name on paper, but yet never overshadowed the main characters in any way. The interpersonal relationships in this novel were well done as well. I loved the banter between the siblings that we encountered regularly. Some of the characters carry over from Love, Lies & the DA, but this novel can easily be read as a standalone.

Rohman has once again captured my attention with her intricate tale. Although this novel is definitely not a quick read, it was very enjoyable.

Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

I waited a long time to get my hands on this book! I fell in love with Rebecca after reading Love, Lies, & the D.A last year. Her writing style is amazing, she's one of my favorite authors. I love how well her characters connect, the banter between them is flawless and just sucks me into their world. Zoe is a tough chick who has been through more than anyone should have to deal with in a lifetime. It's hard for her to leave her guard down but when she meets Morgan something inside her lights up. I was cheering for Morgan from the start! He was a good one, I could just tell. I was anxious for these two to fall in love and be together but that's not how good stories go now do they? Of course I was thrown for a freakin loop and nothing I thought was right, hell I couldn't even form a theory! Rebecca is THAT good! Holy crap is she good, I love surprises, I love not being right about the story but geez there wasn't anything about this story that made me right. I got all hot and steamy in one scene and then BOOM my heart is falling out of my freaking chest! I was blind sided, I NEVER thought things could go the way they did. Zoe realizes she needs to LIVE her life not hide from it and that takes a lot of heartache to make her see that. Morgan just wants to be the perfect hot guy that he is and protect Zoe. Can she let him in? You'll have to read and see how amazing this story is yourself!

WOW!! This is the 1st book I've read by Rebecca Rohman but it won't be the last! At first I was thinking it would take me forever to read bc it's a really long book (500+ pages) but I COULD NOT put it down! I was enthralled from beginning to end! The action is unlike nothing I've ever read! It left me guessing until then end of the book! This book has everything you need in a great novel!

Zoe is a complex, interesting character! I love how strong & independent she is! Her connection to Dr. Morgan Blake is WOOZERS! Electrifying!! He's a hunk & had me drooling!

The writing is suburb & the plot is super strong! There were tears shed when tragedy strikes over & over! Poor Zoe has to endure a lot!

Can Zoe endure the unthinkable? Can Dr. Morgan save her from those out to get her? Can you guess who's behind it all & what's REALLY going on?? Highly recommend this amazing book!

LOVE MD by Rebecca Rohman
5 out of 5 OMG STARS

This is at the very top of my all time favorite reads. Ms. Rohman continues to indulge my imagination with beautiful surroundings and also providing me with yet another sexy BBF to dream about. Her descriptions from wardrobe to exquisite scenery will paint the most vivid picture that you'll just want to step right in and be apart of the story. But wait!.. Don't forget about the story... You will be in knots hoping and wanting to find out 'who did it' and who maybe the next person taken away from Zoë's heart. She's lost so much and the fear of losing Morgan is becoming more real as the story goes on. After meeting Dr. Morgan Drake he too will steal your heart as he did Zoë's. His charm and good looks aren't the only thing that makes him a dream but also his kind heart to help others and the way he loves Zoë, especially in the bedroom, will swoon you off your feet. This is a read that will have you loving crying and panting from beginning to end. Can't wait for more!

Love MD by Rebecca Rohman

From the minute I opened the book until the last page was read, I was captivated beyond reason. Zoe Jenkins, an interior designer in San Francisco, set rules for herself and her business after her ex-husband tries to ruin her and the business she and her brother worked so hard to create.

Dr. Morgan Drake, dealing with a messy divorce moves to the Bay Area for a new start is in the market for an interior designer to complete his house. Zoe is referred by her friends to Dr. Drake. From the moment she first meets Dr. Morgan Drake, she is question those rules. Dr. Drake, a man who gets what he wants, sets his sight in Zoe. Will she be able to maintain those rules or will Dr. Drake win her over.

Rebecca Rohman created another suspenseful, intriguing, spellbinding, love story with twists and turns at ever corner. She has once again made me go through a box of Kleenex with this story. Everything she writes is a stroke of genius and ever disappoints.

Wow, another book by Rebecca Rohman that I fell in love with! I loved the story of Jada and Johnny and we got to see them and their family in this new story of Morgan and Zoe. The immediate connection they felt and fought against, Zoe more than Morgan, was due to history with their ex's. They were both not ready for a long term relationship. I was glad to see them work through their issues as they fell for each other. It was magical to experience.

But this book also broke my heart. There is tragedy, sadness, terrible events, and blame. As Morgan and Zoe fight for their lives, trying to figure out who is after them, they have to learn to trust no one but each other. Even friends and family could be the enemy. This story kept me on edge trying to figure out who dunnit and the twists and turns make your head spin! I loved the epilogue.

I have begun to see a pattern in how Rebecca writes and I absolutely love it! She keeps things so thrilling right up to the end! I look forward to the next book in this series and continuing to follow our friends from the first two books.

I am sitting here staring at my computer screen, baffled at how I want to go about doing this review because SO much happens in Love M.D., there is action, love, heartbreak, friendship, suspense, bad guys, and so much more. There is so much I want to spill the beans about, but I can’t… MUST AVOID SPOILERS. But if I could spill it all to you without spoiling, boy what a great book conversation we could have about this one. So instead I will try to portray in this review how amazing Love M.D. is without spoiling it for you.

I’d like to start with the synopsis and I don’t think that this is something that has ever come up in one of my book reviews. I LOVE the synopsis for Love. M.D. Particularly this part: Intense passion and amazing sex have a way of masking secrets-secrets that unravel a dangerous web of drugs, fraud and corruption that turn Zoe’s quiet spaces into a world where nothing is as it seems. With her life on the line, the good doctor responsible for her fiercest betrayal might just be the only one worth of her finest interior masterpiece-this time, of her heart. Now, do I even need to go on any more with my review? From just that paragraph, before ever reading the book, this is a book you want to read, right?! Just from this peak we see all the different depths of Love M.D. and the power of Rebecca’s writing.

In Zoe’s life she had a lot of parallels to my own life. So for me, reading this book was an emotional journey. There were moments I had to stop reading because my emotions got away from me. But at least for me, this is part of the reason why reading is so fulfilling. We take a fictional journey through the emotions of a character and if it something we can relate to we may even get some therapy out of it. At least I do, with a much more enjoyable process too.

All right, let’s now delve deeper into Zoe. She is a great character: smart, independent, successful, and funny. She is determined to not need or depend on any one, she has her small inner circle and her crew (Her dog and cat), and she has even gone as far as making her home the perfect little hideaway. Reading books with strong females is something I crave, whether we are someone strong like Zoe or someone wishing we were stronger I think we either see the woman we wish we could be more like or relate in our choices and see where compromise comes into play. It’s something all good books should have and Zoe is that character. She is strong but eventually needs to learn that letting someone else be strong for her doesn’t mean she’s weak.

Dr. Morgan Drake is not the typical bad boy we read in a lot of the younger adult novels. He’s not a playboy too scared to settle down. He was a stand up man in his past relationship and he was the one who was scorned (even if he takes some fault by putting work so far up on his priority list) but doesn’t let that stop him from knowing what he wants for his future – Zoe… and going for it. It’s a refreshing change from the eternal bachelor. Drake is a successful doctor and even gives his time helping patients who wouldn’t normally have access to the type of care he can give. He protects the ones he cares about and is loyal to his family.

Love M.D. is a book with no many levels; romance, mystery, thriller… – but for those of you who live for the steamy, there are great sex scenes too. It isn’t lacking in that department. Zoe and Morgan have great chemistry and the good doctor knows how to please a woman right.

Here is my one beef and I promise it’s small. Throughout Love M.D., but especially in the beginning there are a lot of names mentioned of people who aren’t physically characters in the story (ex. People Zoe mentions in a story from the past). Then these people are mentioned again in the story line and it get’s kind of confusing keeping characters straight who aren’t actually in the story and I seemed to mix up their references. But since these characters aren’t really in the story it doesn’t matter a whole lot, I just got confused in my own head.

I believe Love M.D. has the power to cure any book hangover you have, treat your book slump, or remedy your desire for a book that will keep you up, turning the pages. This is a novel you can’t put down because you have to find out what is going to happen next and you long for more Zoe and Morgan. I highly advice you take my word and go purchase Love M.D. now.

10 Sensual Stars but 5 on here.

This book was given to me for my honest review

Corn is a wonderful fruit, grain, and vegetable that we all have had at one time or another but with the planting of the first seed. As we poke the hole for the very first time in the soil around us. As we drop the seed down into the earth and cover it up with the dirt that we have set aside. The watering of the seed and then stepping away as nature begins to take the journey with the seed that is comforted below. As the seed begins to grow it is more like life than we actually know. Relationships can develop the same way if we truly look at it. Relationships take care and nurturing as with the corn they tend to develop at their own pace and given just the amount of love and care we can have wonderment to forever that stays within our hearts. We may make mistakes along the way but with the right amount equalness we can make a perfect flavor. We can forever take that memory and taste with us to a whole new plateau.

Drake-hot, hunky and a doctor

Zoe-Spunky, sweet and pretty

Drake is a doctor that has a mission not in only helping himself but others. He is a giving man that never asks for anything in return. He brings smiles to those around him even when heartache surrounds his own. He believes with his heart that if helping one person be able to be whole again that is all the thanks he needs. However what of his own needs? He has been hurt in the past and knows that forging onward is the only thing he can do to heal his breaking heart. Its like the old saying “when you have lemons make lemonade” it will always leave a somewhat sour taste in ones mouth but a sweetness that only can be described as unique. Will Drake be able to heal his own heart with only a faint knock that he hears upon his front door? Will Drake find it within himself to heal and find his forever love amidst the heartache that has surrounded him for so long? Will his heart soar to new and exciting heights?

Zoe is a energetic woman that has lost so much in her past. She has always gone forward in her life with goals that she has set within herself. She strives for herself and others around her trying not to stumble within. As the façade that she puts forth is all well and good her heart truly wants more but with the past that she has to stumble through life with she is hesitant at times. As she continues with the mundane routine of her everyday life with her thriving business and her friends she begins to want more but wanting more out of life isn’t easy for her. Zoe would love to find the love her heart so truly desires. One knock may be all it takes for her to allow her heart to soar.

To the author: This journey between Drake and Zoe had me on so many plateau’s that writing a true review of their story was not in the cards for me. You have brought forth so much within the pages of your one of a kind read that I for one could not with whole heart be able to write about without giving anything away. The highs and lows in this book will bring your readers to places that they have not gone before. They will cry, they will laugh, and they will feel the pain and laughter with Drake and Zoe. Your readers will come away with so much more that they can only feel as I do AMAZING. This review has taken a great toll in writing because of the emotions that come within your pages. Love isn’t just a feeling that we can just throw out there for the world to see but is a feeling that keeps one safe, comforted within our souls. No matter how much we have lost in the past healing we can say isn’t an option but with the right person we may be surprised at what we can do. Our hearts can lead us but it is our truest of hearts that allows us to follow it in our own way. Whether we chose to believe that we can come out as stronger person than we went in is up to us as an individual to take that leap. Within your pages you gave a uniqueness that only the purest of hearts will truly understand. Major Major Kudos to you.

To the readers: Sit back and be prepared to take a one of a kind journey like no other.

Happy Reading

Complimentary copy provided by the author in exchange for an honest review

I have been a fan of Rebecca Rohman’s ever since I read “Love, Lies & The D.A.” last year, thus making me very eager to get my hands on her latest book, “Love, M.D.”. So when it became available, you can imagine how happy that made me feel.

Seeing as this is a romantic suspense novel, I can only imagine the care with which the author has to take when writing it: the plot must be believable, yet the author has to take great care in not revealing what it is until the very end (or close to the end, anyway). I have mentioned this is previous reviews I have written, but I will do so again: I really do believe that this is one of the hardest genres to write, however fascinating it must be at the same time.

And because of this novel being a romantic suspense, this review will not be as long as my others because I fear that I will end up revealing too much; and that would be a great disservice to you, and to the author, of course.

Zoe Jenkins is a very successful businesswoman who does not let much get in the way of her success. The relationship with her twin brother, Zach, is one that is truly strong, and I loved the particular banter only siblings know how to make while in each other’s company – the author truly manages to convey the tight bond and love they share for one another in a fun and realistic way. But back to Zoe: early on in the book, I came to like her a great deal, actually, despite her stubborn streak as far as the delectable Doc Morgan Drake goes. ;-) Her reluctance to allow people to see beneath her skin is understandable, given her background and past heartaches, and I enjoyed seeing how she, bit by bit, opened up for the possibility of a different future. All in all, she became a character that I grew to love.

As for the delicious doctor, Morgan: he is passionate about his work – which, by the way, really is admirable – and the many facets to his personality were very intriguing, always making me eager to learn more about him. Just like Zoe, he can be stubborn, and the approach he takes as to making her see that he is one of the good guys made my romantic heart go all soft. He is quite the alpha in the ways that count – ;-) – but his vulnerabilities also shine through in Miss Rohman’s words. This is a man who has scars, just like Zoe, but he is less reluctant to let go of the past than she is, and I do like that he is not afraid to admit that he wants to explore things with her. Yes, he make mistakes, but that only makes him human in my eyes.

These two characters are far from perfect – but when do we want characters to seem that way? No, we have two people who both have to learn to trust, to let go of their pasts completely in order to find happiness. True, their road is far from smooth, but I dare say that is never the case in the real world, either, and I, for one, love stories when the author manages to make me believe that they could happen in the real world. I am very happy to say that Miss Rohman made me believe completely in this one.

The plot…well, I will not say that much about it. It made me cry. It made me angry. It made me rather scared, too. There are many twists and turns that I never saw coming, and I loved it!

To sum up my review: if you are looking for your next romantic suspense, I would definitely recommend that you choose this one. Do not be alarmed about the length of this book – honestly, that never bothers me – because the pace and flow of the story is rather fast, but not too hasty, in my opinion. There is plenty of romance and steamy scenes that, I believe, will make you swoon, and, lastly, there is a cast of very colourful and interesting secondary characters which only compliment the story without taking the focus away from Zoë and Morgan.

Miss Rohman, this was an amazing read for me! I truly enjoyed it, and it is definitely one of the best books I have read this year.
