LK Collins is the naughty alter ego for the nternational bestselling author. If you are looking for a scorching read with chemistry so intense it jumps off the pages, then an LK novel is for you. From stand-alones to series, her stories will have you blushing and panting, ready to reread them the moment you’ve finished. The heroes are alpha, demanding, filthy-talking men that will do anything for their girl…or to get them.

While reading I was in a constant state of tension. The inner voice of the heroine got on my nerves. She behaved like a little child, always screaming, throwing tantrums, being unprofessional, giving everyone the finger. It was so immature. And the hero? What's up with him? He seems like a stalker, always there and buying expensive gifts.
The point where I stopped reading? When her best friend (totally annoying) phoned the heroine (didn't get her name) and tells her she slept with her boss (he's ugly and really old). Do you know why the best friend slept with him? So that the heroine could blackmail her boss into letting her work as a chef again. Hmm... I thought "how dumb can you be?" The answer to that: "theres no limit". I can't even describe how immature, dumb and sick that is. I hope this kind of thing doesn't happen in real life.
LK Collins is one of those authors that I click without a second thought. I don't need to read the blurb, although I read this one to excess, and i know that the ride I'm being taken on at the hands of a fictional world will be one I don't come back from. The Arrogant Architect was no different. When the end came, I had to blink back to reality and wipe the tears from my eyes. Kingsley Lennox and Everly Adams. Polar opposites with no reason to even cross paths. Kingsley AKA King is an architectural genius. He's got the magic touch that turns every project into solid gold and has the arrogance to match. But King is hiding something and hiding it well. Everly AKA Ever is career driven, focused, and still in an immense amount of pain from the loss of her mother. Neither King nor Ever has the time for a relationship, neither needs the distraction, and neither wants it. But a huge project brings them together and it's not pretty. Ever is having enough trouble without being shaken from her own bed by construction being led by King. King is cocky and demanding. Ever is sassy and stubborn. More than their opposing character traits, Ever hates King, and hates herself for finding him so sexy. But King is not the kind of man to back down from a challenge. He's forceful, arrogant as hell, and 'demanding' is an understatement. Ever is not impressed, until she is. The love/hate tension is thick and tangible. The faults and weaknesses of these characters made this couple so complex, so perfect. Ever's constant vortex of suffocating pain and King's impulsiveness come together masterfully. When I closed my kindle I had to remind myself that the real, raw emotion i just read was a work of art and not real life. Congratulations, Ms. Collins, another amazing, moving, and incredibly sexy triumph. I always say when a book makes me cry, the author has done their job, but this book took it further. I laughed and cried in the same chapters, not to mention the sighs of swoony contentment. I truly cannot wait to see what comes next.
I really don't know how to describe this book. I mean, it was OK. But just that, OK. It's one of those books I don't take seriously, but read as a passtime between some big time novels. The protagonist say nothing of their past, Ever is only looking an oportunity to fight and King's personality is supposed to be justified by his condition, but ultimately, they are just shallow. This novel looks like the outline for some bigger story, but since it isn't, I really can't say something about it that would redeem it. There's nothing about this book that would make me remember it two weeks from now.
4.5/5 Wow!! This is my first book from this author and I was pleasantly surprised!! This book made me laugh, almost cry, biting my nails in suspense... Crazy good book!
Super funny Crazy corky amazing characters Insta love for the male Love build up for the female No OW/ OM drama Super sweet Safe read A MUST read!!
The heroine ruined this book for me- the way she behaves at times was frustrating and I hated the way she treated the hero. King seemed like a really good guy but I honestly couldn't figure out what he ever saw in Everly.
jesus christ this heroine was annoying and immature
got 20% in and i can't handle any more. not only is she rude/annoying/immature to the H but also at her workplace!! she has literally no reason for her actions as well. she sets herself off for no goddamn good reason. how stupid.
this is not how you portray a "sassy and strong willed" protagonist
Ladies I have been desperately waiting for this book since I read the blurb. Call me cray cray, but damn there is just something special about a cocky, arrogant, hot as freakin hell, tattooed asshole, that turns me on, flicks my dirty girl switch & seriously leaves me a hawt mess.
LK Collins has delivered yet again, another cracker with The Arrogant Architect. The fact it’s got the ‘A’ word in the title really does ensure you are getting exactly what it says on the tin. From the start I knew I wasn’t going to be able to put this bad boy down & yup, an all-nighter ensued, but damn it was worth it.
Kinglsey Lennox. OH HELL YES PLEASE & THANK YOU LORD!! This man is truly allllll things bad on my check list above & a whole lot more - I loved him instantly. His life hasn’t been straight forward & he has faced many challenges along the way, including the secret that he’s kept hidden from the world. From an early age he knew what he wanted to be & now, here he is, an absolute genius in his field. He really doesn’t have time for relationships – until Ever - and she can’t stand him!! He takes cocky & arrogant to a whole new level in his quest to win her, which is hilarious & honestly squeezed my heart a little extra. More money than sense & looks to melt the pants right off you, he really doesn’t understand why this frustrating woman doesn’t want him lol. The struggle is real for King, but he always wins & Ever will be no different.
Everly Adams is stuck in a world of pain that holds her hostage. Knowing how the world expects you to act after so many years, is crippling & one she can’t escape. Every year, happiness & sadness walk hand in hand & she knows without doubt, it’s all about making it one day at a time. She is beautiful, feisty & has a mean ole mouth on her when riled lol. Her focus is her career as a Chef & her lifelong dream of running her own restaurant. She doesn’t want to man, or their complications. What she wants is to lie in her bed, & enjoy the peace & quiet, until that cocky, arrogant SOB starts the renovations next door & in turn thrusts himself into her life like a train wreck. King is infuriating, controlling, scatter cash international that drives her to the brink of madness, gawd damn why does he have to also be so bloody gorgeous & sexy!!
Their journey really was emotional & the ‘feels’ truly had your head & heart all over the place. In places I laughed so hard at the antics these two got up too, but then just as quickly I wanted to scream at them, like I wanted to shake Ever & tell her to stop being a queen bitch & punch King for being that bloody arrogant & controlling he couldn’t see what he was doing. However, as the story unfolded LK really stepped into her own with such strong character development, I saw them both open up & bare their good, their bad & their ugly. I hurt for them, cried for them & to be honest prayed that their ending was worthy of what they deserved.
For me, LK did an amazing job of tackling issues that are often held under scrutiny & the opinion of others. She showed us that you don’t & can’t always live up to the worlds expectations, that sometimes the only answer can be found in your own good time. She showed that sometimes you live in fear of what the world might think if they knew who you really were & how hard it is to live a normal life, when your normal is different. Powerful, moving & real.
Loved everything about this book & can’t wait for LK’s next slice of magic
*Sigh* I had such high hopes for this book and I was so...let down. There wasn't really a plot..or at least one where anything of interest happened... King wasn't 'arrogant' he was downright stalkerish and creepy and Ever flew off the handle at every little thing and was such a bitch I didn't care for her at all. One second she's like "fuck you" the next she's like "hey help me out here". By the time I realized this book had nothing going on in it I was about 70% done and just finished it to see if anything happened... over all I am very disappointed with this book and just..expected so much more. I didn't get a sexy alpha male. I didn't get a heroine I cared for. I got nothing and I'm let down.
1. The heroine is an immature, pathetic bitch. 2. The hero is creepy and stalkerish. 3. The "relationship" if you want to call it that, was absolutely unbelievable. It was disconnected and I just couldn't see them as a couple. 4. The writing was awful. 5. The characters were not well rounded.
I believe LK writes books to wreck me. Once again, you are sucked into her book. And once again, I was a hot mess! Grab the tissues. So much happens between King and Ever. Their story is really compelling. I love the banter between these two!!! Ever is really kick A$$.
Nothing about the characters in this book was well developed or solid. Not even the tension between them in the beginning was solid enough to hold my attention. Of course I did not finish. As in, I read the first 25 percent and the very last page. It was awful.

I loved the story between King and Ever. I'm not going to lie though. It did take me a few chapters to actually get into it. Everly Adams lost her mom 6 years ago and she's still trying to come to terms with the loss. Everyday is a struggle. One of the few things she has to look forward to every year is her birthday. It's the one day she feels like her mom is still with her. Until King buys the building next door and starts restoring it. In the early morning. When she's trying to sleep. Needless to say, Ever is pissed and she let's King know it with her feisty attitude and insults. The man is cocky and arrogant. She has not time for that. Kingsley Lennox is arrogant, a tad controlling and cocky. He also is use to getting what he wants. And he wants Ever. She's challenged him as no one has before. He can't impress her with his money and definitely not with his arrogance. When she insulted his favorite pair of shoes, her fate was sealed. He has to have more of her and her snarky attitude. Things aren't always as they seem and there is a reason King tries to control the uncontrollable chaos in his life, though. LK weaves us a tale of two people trying to deal with the struggle and strife of being who they are. A tale full of love and laughs. A tale full of attitude and insults. A tale that will set your sheets on fire and angst that will make your heart wrench. She allows you to be able to connect with her characters and eventually understand them. I think I connected more with King in this story than I ever have with a hero. It's easy for me to understand the way his brain works and his need to try to control the chaos in his life. Plus, who doesn't love a man covered in tattoos and wearing a suit? I also want to give a round of applause to LK for delving into subjects that are hard for most people to understand unless they've dealt with them. She shows us that grief is real. That the uncontrollable chaos is a daily battle for some. She portrayed it in a real and believable way. All in all, The Arrogant Architect, is a steamy read that will leave you panting for more King. If you've not read this yet, you're definitely missing out. Grab a fan and a glass of cold water because it's one that'll leave you parched.
It was the blurb of this book that actually got to me! I honestly can’t tell you how much I adore cocky heroes, especially the ones who aren’t jerky just charmingly cocky – believe there is a fine lie between those two!
Ever is a chef, a woman who still hasn’t really moved on from the loss of her mother (tbh, neither has her father!), when she encounters King, a celebrated architect who is currently working on restoring the building next to her.
King on the other hand, is rich and definitely believes that action speak louder than words and for the world that is the way it is, it honestly works for him – so it is easy to understand his cockiness.
Ever and King have a really confrontational first meeting – Ever is a woman who doesn’t really take any sort of crap from anyone, let alone a man who is responsible for her uncomfortable atmosphere at her home. So she is kind of shocked, when King actually starts making overtures (in terms of material gifts!) yet quite rebellious as well.
Honestly, I would have appreciated a chapters in King’s POV as well – just so that I could have had an insight to really erratic behaviour by him. And while I understood the kind of attraction Ever and King had with each other, it would have been better with little more conversation between them. I needed that communication between them to cement them together in my mind.
But yes, I enjoyed their confrontational conversations with each other – it was fun, emotional and I absolutely sailed through the book. And it is only towards the end of the book that we get a whole lot of insight into King's mind, and that definitely racked up brownie points in my opinion. Not only that, the POV of King was a sweet deal at the end that really topped it off!
First read from L K Collins for me, but it definitely won’t be the last! <3
Everly "Ever" Adams hasn't been the same since her mother passed away. Her job is her happy place, but when she's not at work, or with her dad, she spends most of her time alone. This all changes when she is woken up by very loud noises early in the morning. She goes outside to yell at the person who is in charge of the building restoration next door to her, when she comes face to face with Kingsley Lennox. He actually makes her madder, and she wants nothing to do with the arrogant douche. After that encounter, she finds a gift, which has Ever's temper hitting new levels when she realizes that he's throwing around money to try to impress her. Kingsley aka King, is a very successful and rich young man. In fact, he's been named a genius in the architect world, and the love of his work makes it his biggest priority. So he has no time for dating, plus he's never found anyone interesting enough to clear his calendar for, until he meets the smart mouthed Ever. There's something about the cranky girl that he wants, so he's decided to make her his. However, Ever is not falling at his feet, so the challenge she presents, is the biggest challenge he's faced yet. Will King get past her walls, in order to get her to take a chance with him?
I signed up to be on this author's list, and everytime she's releasing a new book, I find myself signing up more than once, as the panic I feel, when I think I'm going to miss something of hers, is real. I don't even read the blurbs anymore, because it doesn't matter to me, I have loved everything she's put out! And The Arrogant Architect is absolutely no exception. The character development is great, as Ever, at first, was a bit too much in her cranky pants, but as she evolved, I fell in love with her. A colorful cast of secondaries rounded the story out perfectly. No matter how much they argued, King and Ever's chemistry simmered, until it finally boiled over to panty meltin', scorchin' hot, bubbles of sexy scene goodness. L.K. Collins' brilliant writing style, once again, shined in yet, another original story. Her twists and turns never fail to make for serious f-bomb dropping, OMG moments that come out of left field, and she holds true to her diabolical mind in this newest story. I'm always ready to read the next book that she releases, so I can't help but HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY and HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Every time I open a novel written by this talented author on my Kindle, I know I will be taken for one emotional roller coaster. The Arrogant Architect was no exception.
From the moment I began to read I was tearing up one moment, laughing the next. This is how this author hooks her readers. Fresh and exciting characters along with a plot that has drama, passion, laughter and love.
Everly will win your heart and Kingsley will capture your soul. Together they will own you.
Things have not been easy for Ever. Ever since a heart wrenching loss she has been spiraling and the only thing keeping her sane is her job and dream along with her the only parent she has left, her dad. Work and her co workers have become her escape. Going through the motions of living without really feeling anything. That is her reality until one morning where a rude awakening changes her life forever.
Kingsley is a smart, funny, arrogant to the tenth degree, controlling, sexy and rich man. He thinks the worlds bows to him and money can buy anything. How wrong he is .. if he thinks that about Ever. Their meeting sets the tone for their relationship. One where laughter and banter reigns and passion lies dormant waiting to explode.
The witty banter and the way one man goes out of his to show a woman who has captured his heart what he can give her are just two aspects of what I loved about this story. So many more layers, twists and turns, ups and downs are weaved throughout this novel, that with each turn of the page you will be sucked into the world of The Arrogant Architect and the sassy smart mouthed woman.
They will both learn life lessons from each other, open their eyes to the world and maybe just maybe heal each other with a love that knows no boundaries. Will a King be able to make a woman who is his soul mate his Queen or will fate have something else in store for them? Will he be able to finally grant her all her wishes, one in particular ... OR when secrets are revealed will it be too much to bear.
Read and go on this magically journey a MUST READ for any lover of Romance.
LK Collins is an incredible author who we truly adore and admire! She writes books that speak to our souls and relate to our hearts! The Arrogant Architect was a book built of pure greatness. We fell deeply in love with the characters Ever and King. We laughed deeply at their banter, we were absorbed by their chemistry, and we are still obsessed with their fierce and undeniable love for one another! Ever is a strong-willed sassy girl who despite her tough exterior suffers emotionally from the loss of her mother. She was so relatable and extremely hilarious, not to mention we love another sassy female! King on the other hand is a handsome determined arrogant architect. Despite the title being very fitting, King was also a very misunderstood character. He had intense controlling tendencies or could be seen as a little crazy at times but everything he did was all because he cares for Everly so deeply. Love makes you do crazy things! He can also be very vulnerable which is a unique trait for an alpha male, but this made us love him that much more. With each page he became more and more relatable and his struggles became our struggles. We love reading LK Collins books because they always strike an emotional cord and in one way or another hit close to home. Her characters despite being fictional become apart of our lives. Just like restoring a building, Ever and King come together and repair the crumbling parts of their lives until they are once again strong and rectified. Finding your soulmate not only fills your heart but it heals your wounds until your whole again, and they found this with each other. Please take the time to read this book; if you're anything like us it will only take you a few hours because once you start your can't stop, but read The Arrogant Architect and take the beautiful journey that this love story will lead you on. This book is marvelous and stunning and we will be impatiently waiting to see what wonderful enchantments LK Collins creates next!
LK Collins destroyed me with Latch....resurrected me with Abby....and totally and completely blew me away with The Arrogant Architect!!!
I fell in love with Ever immediately! Her sassy attitude, her belligerence, her smart mouth and underneath all of that the pain she still feels for her loss, which I wholeheartedly identified with! King on the other hand...I thought he was an a**! I didn't think I was going to even LIKE him (at all!) The way he treated Ever at their first few interactions? I could certainly see the arrogance and the almost creepy way he was "stalking" her!! But as their incredible story unfolded with all the stunningly emotional twists and turns, my opinion changed drastically!! King definitely is the absolute Ruler of my Heart and I don't have a clue how I will EVER get it back!!
All I can say about TAA is that this book took me on such an intense, incredibly emotional journey that had me at different points; calling King some VERY bad names, cheering Ever on in her stubborn stand against her attraction to King, feeling hot and bothered enough to change panties multiple times (or sitting in front of the air conditioner to cool off ;) ) and ugly crying at one particular point (which you will find out about when you read this book!)
LK Collins is, in my humble opinion, one of THE best authors I have had the pleasure to read and I can't wait to see what this amazingly talented woman comes up with next! I highly recommend you get this book! You will NOT be disappointed...I promise!
"Closing my eyes as I breathe in the fresh sea air, I sense him behind me. I wonder if he can sense me, when I'm close to him."
4 King stars!
King is a well known architect and has no time for women or relationships. He's well aware of how good looking he is, he's not blind... But he's too busy to deal with women and/or relationships. Ever isn't interested in having a relationship either, but when she goes to confront the architect because of the noise he's making, she's topped dead in her tracks. King is a determined man and he knows that he wants Ever the minute he lays eyes on her, but she wants nothing to do with him. Can he win her over??
Like LK Collins books, this is definitely instalove with tons of heat!!! I was sucked in the minute I started reading it. I fell for King and his cocky ways! He's breathtaking... and I really like Ever, although she was slightly annoying at times, she has reasons for it though. Overall another great book by LK!!!

Pain and suffering. Those are the things that haunt us when those we love the most. But their are other types of pain and suffering that are dealt with in secret and shame. Everly or Ever is a woman that was close to her mother and lost her to Cancer. The pain of that loss is hard for her to over come. She indulges in cooking and chasing her dream, of owning her own Restaurant. King, is the new pain in her side, arrogant and quirky he doesn't know how to take no as an answer. Will she be able to resist his quirky charms? King has his own type of suffering that he lives with everyday, but when he meets this woman that challenges him and denies him everything, he feels a quiet that he has never felt before. Now, he has to be with her always. Can he break down her walls and have the life he dreams of? This book is filled with passion, twists and unexpected turns that will have you at the edge of your seat. Their banter and her mouth are going to have you rolling with laughter. For me though, it is all about King, this jerk that can't help falling for this woman that wants nothing to do with him. He pleads with her to give hi a chance and then screws it up time and time again, which is why I love him so freaking much!
This book is filled with everything. A swoon worthy, arrogant, cocky, and pantie melting asshole that you so desperately want to hate that you just end up loving so much more and oh my how I love the King right now.
Kingsley Lennox aka the King, architect extraordinaire quiet a reputation in the world of architecture and dam good at it but on the relationship front a whole different story until now there's been no time or need for anyone until he meets Ever and pisses her off from the second they meet but he wants her and well he always gets what he wants, or does he?
Ever, sweet and feisty and not interested in the arrogant asshole that throws money around like confetti but with King on a mission to have her how long can she resist?
The chemistry and angst between King and Ever draws you in and consumes you.
This book will make you laugh and cry and hold your breath on more than one occasion in true Lk style you wouldn't want anything less.
I devoured this book and let it completely consume me and am now in a blissful state of heaven wishing I could read that again for the first time.
LK Collins always writes sexy alpha males that have a vulnerable side adding to their sexiness. Kingsley is definitely one of those guys. The Arrogant Architect is packed full of sexiness from the first page to the last. Collins does a great job of building the attraction and sexual tension between characters. She creates a banter between them that has just the right balance of humour and dirty talk. In this book, Collins touched on a very real and sensitive issue. Because this book wasn't about that issue and it was more of the character's back story, she did not delve to deeply into it. She was able to keep the heavy out of the book while giving the characters something to fight for to keep each other. The Arrogant Architect is a perfect weekend read with lots of sexy times and alpha hotness. Can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve next. D 3.5/5
First book from this Author...and had the privilege of reading this as a ARC...I thought it was funny..I was lol'ing at some parts...to which my family looked me like im a Loon!..(but hey I am)..it was a love-hate relationship from the start...he fell insta love...she fell insta I'm going to knock you out hate, he grinds her down in the end!...love always conquers all...find out near the end he has a medical condition..to which it was written about well...and the sexilious SCENES!!!omg they were panty melting hot!!!...it to really enjoyed this book..and will be definitely reading more from this author...well done LK Collins...5 deliciously hot stars *****
I absolutely love everything LK Collins writes. The Arrogant Architect is another fast-paced hit that contains everything I look for in a book.
Kingsley Lennox has built a name for himself in the world of architecture but doesn't have time to settle down. Everly Adams is a feisty woman who has her own problems that have stopped her from dating. When these two meet, the angst begins.
King's cocky attitude coupled with Ever's sass is the perfect combination for this fabulous book. This is a must-read recommendation from me.
I'll be honest , I've read all LK Collins so books and loved each one but this one is my favourite by far and moved me ,I read it with my heart , the characters were real to me and they became a part of me and my heart very quickly .
Ever and King are very different personalities but when it comes to their passion and commitment to work they are very much the same .
King is an architectural genius , he has the midas touch . There's a dash of arrogance to him but it adds to his charm if you like . The fact that he's inked and easy on the eye also helps
"You're so gonna pay for this later." "What? You gonna spank me? " "No." "I'm gonna skull f**k you."
Words can't express how much I love this book! Get ready to not be able to put this book down. There were no breaks just non stop reading. I was glued to this book. I love King and Ever's story. While reading this be prepared to feel every emotion the characters are feeling. I love LK and her writing style. Can never go wrong when buying one of her books!
I don't even know where to begin with this book. I expected a searingly sexy read but what I got was so much more. I dare you to try and make it with tearing up. This was emotional, heart gripping, soul searing goodness. Once you start, you won't stop until you're finished. LK blew every expectation out of the park and then some. I can't wait to see what this talented woman gives us next.
