Stoking the Embers
Steamy and hot. Dark and disturbing.

She seeks security. He seeks freedom. They both think their lives are mapped out. Until an accident brings them together and their worlds collide, bringing passion they never expected.

But, in their shadow, evil exists. Subtle and soundless. Insidious and menacing. It won’t stop until it tears the lovers apart.

Welcome to the lives of Stephanie, a nursing student only months from receiving her degree, and Ken, a firefighter training to become a paramedic—two people dedicated to saving lives.

Will the embers of their budding relationship be smothered or stoked? Do they have the power to save themselves from the evil between them?

Ashes
She's the wind. He's the fire. Both are independent, hot headed, and strong. Neither want a relationship or to be tied down in any way. But outside forces have other ideas.

When Beth is confronted by an old demon, she can't imagine the danger she's in. She's too stubborn to ask for help, but will she have a choice? How do they fight an evil that can't be seen or understood?

This book is a great story. HEA. This book is a romantic suspense novel. It is about Ken and Stephanie and then Gage and Beth getting together.

This could have gotten a higher score, but it was BADLY in need of an edit. If she doesn't care enough about her art to edit before publishing, then I don't care enough to give a 5 star rating. Which is unfortunate, because this was a really good book.

i.e.- She lifts a hand and cups her breasts before letting them drop to the waistband of her shorts.

Johnson, Leslie. Playing With Fire: Bad Boy Firefighter Romantic Suspense (Kindle Locations 3357-3358). Atrevida Publishing. Kindle Edition.

As this reads, her breasts are sagging to her waistband. "Save the ta tas" and edit!!!

A lot of steam but the story has a plot. There were a few unfinished items and maybe these will get tied up in further books. I found myself thinking after the first few chapters "cover the cameras" but enjoyed the story.

I received this book free from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing a review. This book was a out of control roller coaster ride of suspense with hot steamy romance sprinkled throughout making it hard to put down.
