Angel Harrington is the definition of an independent woman. She has a level head and grounded spirit. She never looked for a man to take care of her, even after meeting and falling in love with Saint Phillips, who started as just a corner boy for her father’s drug empire. The two spent many years together until her father’s death and his rise as the next in command tore them apart. Still heartbroken over how they ended, she has a problem with trust and commitment when it comes to Saint or any other man that comes her way. When she learns of something that could upset the empire that Saint has worked so hard to maintain, and with her father’s blood, sweat and tears in it, she has to choose whether to ride or let their opportunity for a second chance between them die.
Saint Phillips is the CEO of King’s Playhouse, Atlanta’s most popular new strip club. He’s happy that he has found another way to clean his illegal revenue, but heavy is the head that wears the crown. When his empire is tested, he’ll have to rely on his power to settle a war that’s brewing in the streets all while appearing to remain knee deep in making the Playhouse a success.
Reese and Omari Grant are the definition of a true power couple. He’s part owner of the King’s Playhouse and she’s a certified nurse midwife. They were high school sweethearts and have been together for seven years. She believes that the two of them are soulmates and are living their happily ever after, but when Omari begins to struggle with the seven-year itch, a strong whiff of temptation could ruin their happy home for good. Things come crashing down all around them when Reese learns he’s not the man she’s made him out to be.
Sierra Gray was born poor and refuses to die that way. As the premier dancer at King’s Playhouse, she doesn’t have a problem using what she has to get what she needs. When she’s roped into a deal with a devil from her past, she devises her own plan to keep herself fit in Gucci and Gold forever, but who will she bring down in order to lift herself up?
In a business where sex, money and greed rule everything around them, everybody’s out for something. Will they sell their souls for the almighty dollar or walk away with something more valuable, love?
All the men was thinking with the wrong head and got themselves trapped by Sierra. All of their relationships were now in jeopardy. I hope Reese make Omari grovel for a long time. Angel not having that with Saint. Idk how these men let her play them like that. She was looking for a come up and she got it!
Omg this is some s**t...Omari done lost his mind..Saint gonna have to boss up with Trent around..So who is the daddy for Sierra baby??? How is Reese and Angel gonna take this baby news😱😱
This was okay but nothing exciting happened through the book. The story seemed to be just getting started when it ended abruptly. I feel like it could have given us more before ending. All the male characters are not too bright. Where's the safe sex with the stripper? I recall Saint using a condom but not Omari. It's probably Trents who has lots of baby mamas. Then again Sierra probably has other prospects. She does sleep around for money. I feel bad for Omari's wife but she would be doing herself good by leaving him. We'll see in part 2.
Okay, what a very interesting read. I enjoyed and and it held my interest from beginning to end. I was a bit disappointed thou in Omari and Saint. I really thought they had a little more sense than that to be caught up with a stripper. One who works in their club at that. And Saint, what kinda kingpin is he to let Trent go? Like really? Some parts had me really shaking my head. Great job otherwise....awaiting part two.
I read this book in one sitting. Once I started, I could not put it down. Angel really worked my nerves at times. She really needs to move on. She was with Saint for 5 years. If he hadn't changed in all that time, then it's not going to happen now. Really now? There is only one word to describe Omari, dumb. That's all I have to say about that. I wonder what's going to happen in part 2? #KNL
Ok Omari gets no sympathy at all. Saint & Angel have an interesting relationship. Serria & Trent full of ish. I'm sure Big Town didn't know about him. Reese is gonna shock Omari and I don't blame her! Go Girl! Grass ain't greener
Sierra is just a mess. I hope she can handle all the drama that's about to come her way. I also hope the couples can whether this storm that's about to come.
Love the cover , A well written story that I couldn't put down. A steady flow with both interesting and believable characters. Definitely reading part 2'
