Taylor Lyle. Everyone on the planet knows the CEO of BluTech’s name. Taylor is rich, successful and famous—but that means nothing to him. He aches to start a family, but he’s had his heart bashed to pieces once again by a commitment-phobic guy.
“I’ve been pretending so long, I’ve almost forgotten who I am.”
Eli Hail thought he’d missed his chance with his school crush ten years ago. But when fate crashes them together on a sunny beach, Eli can’t deny his feelings for Taylor, or his sexuality any longer.
“I need to take this slow.”
Taylor and Eli rediscover one another as Eli explores his sexuality for the first time, but with their shared history, neither of them can keep their promise to not get attached. When the tabloids out their relationship to the world, the pressure on their bond is only just beginning.
Will Taylor and Eli be able to figure out what they want and fight for it?
Our Reunion is a 50,000-word standalone contemporary gay romance, complete with lots of heat and a happily ever after ending.
El is looking for someone to explore her sexuality with. Taylor is looking for a fling. Except Taylor isn't capable of casual and El has had a big crush on Taylor since school.. Taylor was thinking of getting married and picking out matching tombstones after four days of dating. She's such a lovable dork. This book was cutesy and adorable with a tinge of angst to keep it interesting. I was in a bad mood and this cheesy fluff cured me.
*** A Spain getaway vacation from the class reunion and mend a broken heart. At least that's what billionaire tech founder, Taylor, thought he'd get. Then a vision is before his eyes, from high school, the golden hair, the jock with dimples, and those blue eyes, was looking at him. It had been 10 years since they'd seen each other. Eli, is also in Spain, but it's a vacation to discover his "first time with a guy" side to his bisexual nature. They strike a deal. We see happiness, tears, heartbreaking tales, a re-uniting, and a love so deep, each man wanted the best for the other, no matter the price to their own heart.
Of course the sex scenes are super hot, as these two men explore each other.
Taylor and Eli each want kids, a true and lasting love, and their careers. There is a past event that haunts them both. This isn't all "happy go lucky" as they try to move forward, with the east coast/west coast relationship, while Eli is in architecture school.
This is a great story of working together for a common goal, and we get to watch the love deepen.
I thought the story was really cute. A little slow when they were in Spain and I wished more happened with the tabloid article...that seemed to be breezed over and nothing really came of it. The story does up pace once both characters return to the states. Overall, like i said the story was cute and i liked it but i felt something was missing that would have made the story great. More interaction than monologue, more outside influence, more feeling...im not exactly sure but it was something. Its on kindleUnlimited and you know how much of love these types of books. Give it a read if youve got the time to spare. I know ill give future titles from this author a read.
This is the book of the author so I'm giving this a chance. If you like something cheesy I think you like this one. Well, I myself is a fan of cliches but I don't think I've connected with the MC's. One's too fickle and One's too "U-haul style". Taylor and Ellie are classmates from high school and El has a major crush on Taylor since then but she's too coward to act on it. And 10 years later they reunited on a dreamy holiday. Taylor's recovering from a break up and El's exploring her sexuality. El's thinking is really annoying. I like Taylor more especially her shirts. Whoops! El's the fickle one and it's really frustrating.
If you're looking for a quick read maybe you should check this out.
Taylor & El are complete opposites. Taylor- CEO of a tech company, is a brazen go-getter. She is open about everything, but that downfall has caused her to lose relationships as she is the type to fall hard & wear her heart on her sleeve. Her desire to start a family is rapidly growing & she decides to travel to Spain to get over her latest heartbreak as well as avoiding her high-school's decade reunion.
El has had a crush on Taylor for the past ten years, but has never acted on these feelings. She finds herself on the same exact beach as Taylor- leaving all of those HS emotions to smack her in the face. Her intention of the vacation is to explore her sexuality with the freedom of leaving behind her home life. El is bisexual & I really appreciated the way that it was handled, never trying to erase it or taint it into this "abnormal" thing. It is clear that although El has been with men in the past & that she is still attracted to men, & Taylor does not try to change this. El is shy & still in the closet (as she does not verbalize the attraction to women). And no, there are no male scenes in here, these things are just expressed through dialogue. Ten years ago she lost her college scholarship for a fight she got into over Taylor. Some minor flashbacks to the fight occur, which deepens the connection between the women. El's biggest dream today is to go to architect school.
Realistic emotions & responses come into play: the shame of hiding from your true self/not coming out sooner, trying to figure out an equal balance to the relationship as they both want different things but clearly love each other, etc. The question of how much are you willing to sacrifice for someone while not having that person become your whole world & not wanting to stand in the way of the other's dreams is a major concept. There are some back & forth of strong attempts to make the relationship work, even long-distance. From the day they reunite at the beach & El says she is looking for someone to explore her sexuality with, it becomes very clear that both women have fallen for each other & now must find a way to stay together without losing their biggest wants.
I did like both characters, I thought Logan did an excellent job of displaying both their successes & failures. I also liked how it showed each woman's life outside of the relationship & how they didn't just give up everything in the pursuit of passion. I do wish the "tabloid article" had been discussed a bit more, as well as El coming out to her parents. Although the ending was very sweet & I am satisfied at the character's outcomes, I do think it wrapped up a bit too nicely. Overall a good pace for a short romance under 200 pages. Hot, well-written sex scenes are always an added bonus. I believe this is Logan's debut & I am eager to read future works. Recommended.
A revamped version of Our Reunion by Harper Logan.
Taylor and El attended the same high school and played on the same volleyball team. Torn away from each other, they meet on a beach in Spain after ten years have passed. Yes, sparks fly and hearts soar. The road to romance is very rocky. Do they want a life together with a HEA or will they pursue different paths? It was like a volleyball or tennis match as they tried to oneup each other. The POV narration even alternates.
I liked the main characters. Their struggles were heartfelt. The ending was sort of forced and a fait d'accompli, but I enjoyed the book.
Ok, I originally didn't rate this one, because I DNFed it, because I was bored. But now, I see that this book is also this book: Reunited. Rating added, one star. Bitch didn't even bother to change the names! I guess this is the trick, just choose gender neutral names, remove the dick, and watch the money for those page clicks roll in! Gross, and I will never, NEVER read this "author" (or that "author") or recommend them to friends.
En realidad serían 2.5, ha sido bastante malo la verdad, con poco o nulo ritmo en la narración y personajes con la misma profundidad de un pepino de mar. Tengo alguno más del mismo autor pero creo que van a quedarse donde están XD
Short and sharp - read in one sitting - good and dandy - peaked my interest enough to buy No 2. PS: When did H L Logan become Harper Logan? PPS: Changed to 5* after reading Part 2!
Eli has been in love with Taylor since high school but Taylor didn't think he was into men. They accidently meet up whilst on holiday, both hiding from a school reunion and Eli looking to explore his newly admitted bisexuality.
I found the writing confusing and had trouble separating Eli and Taylor in my own head, I was constantly confused about who was talking. The dialogue was odd; clunky and disjointed.
Eli constantly blowing hot and cold really got on my nerves, and Taylor's refusal to say what he actually means and saying what he thinks Eli wants to hear irritated me. I also felt that they got far too attached far too quickly. It was very insta-lovey and somewhat unbelievable.
There's an awful lot of drama for dramas sake which is not my favourite thing. At all.
It was depressingly predictable. I think there is potential here but the writing feels very immature.
I nearly DNF at 50%, decided to stick with it but only got to 66% before I just didn't care anymore.

So this author creates the exact same book and just changed the female characters to male characters and charges for it. So like for this book there's another edition wherein the couple is f/f and in this one it's m/m
GUYSSSSSSSSSSS. this is not okayyyyyyyyyyy:
Taylor Lyle. Everyone on the planet knows the CEO of BluTech’s name. Taylor is rich, successful and famous—but that means nothing to her. She aches to start a family, but she’s had her heart bashed to pieces once again by a woman just after her money.

4.5. I like the plot. I like the story. The writing was okay although I had issues with the characters’ inner voices (tone?) especially at the beginning, like they don’t fit with how the other describes them. Overall I still enjoyed the book.

The plot was okay, the reunion topic was well describes although the book seemed a bit more dramatic than necessary and long. Several fact were repeated and it was at least one or two times an up and down you don't needed.
Taylor was a pleasant character. He is a person who fall in love fast and hard, something the most guys don't get along with. He is kind and tender, has a slight geeky side with his funny T-Shirts with hilarious prints. On the contrary there is Eli, a sportsguy with blind hair and a muscular build. He sacrefises a lot in his past when he helped Taylor in a dangerous situation.
The chemistry between the person was good described, the sensual scenes nice and it went everything very smooth. The only complain I have are the editing. There are a few missing comma, as well as the huge amount of paragraphs per site. It was a bit against the flow to have so many of them, it felt unnecessary enlarged. This could be improved next time. :)
A few things in the book were a bit over the top, so especially the parting so often, the reunion topic was at least three times the matter. The end was a classical HEA, it was sweet to see and it rounded the story up. Some actions were a bit unbelievable, both guys had times where they react a bit improvident.
All in all it had charming scenes and two character who were lovable. I'm looking forward to read the story about Eli's teacher, Ben in the next book Driven . There was a small preview in the book at the end.
Sweet and cute but suspend your disbelief for this.
I have mixed feelings about this book. There were chapters/paragraphs that I read that made me think "this is great" and then I would read another and think "are you frikking kidding me?".
Let me clarify that. The story overall was very sweet. It even had some funny moments when we would get a glimpse at Taylor's commitment/marriage obsessed thoughts. It also had great moments of angst that weren't drawn out for the sake of drama like in some novels.
That being said, and you might want to skip reading this part if you really want to read this and not have my opinion (my bitching/nitpicking) sway you in the other direction.
Overall I did like this story but there is definite room for improvement. It ends up with a 3.75* from me.
Everything about this book was super sweet and bittersweet. The only flaw it had was just how fast they got together but from then the relationship built up with a nice flow of ups and downs. This was a sweet story. What I loved most about the book was the way both heroes revealed their personalities. Most romance books, be it FM or MM, are common in stories and sometimes the personalities and uniqueness of the characters just fade to the background and makes them all similar to one another. However, I was able to see a unique personalities of our heroes in this book.
Spoilers
Tylor, a billionaire geek who wore lame-joke t-shirts was a kind of person who took the world head-on and never gave up. But he was also a kind of guy who fell too heavy too fast. Eli was former football star who recently discovered/acknowledged his broadened sexuality but still was too afraid to take a step further. He was a kind of person who took the safe path of following his parents' wishes, who gave up his dream because of his insecurity. He was very romantic at heart too.
The beginning of their budding relationship started right from the start when they reunited again in Barcelona. Though, they both thought it a fling, I still thought that it was so pretty fast how things went. But as Taylor was pretty forward person, I was buying into how they met. From there relationship developed but they faced many obstacles which they both in turn, misunderstood and gave up on each other. However, each time, it bought their feeling clearer and it bought them back together.
The whole stories was too sweet for words. And I was surprised that I was not irritated by how many times they seemed to break up and get back to each other. Their problems were inevitable and they were just damn sweet together.
¸.•´¸★*´¨) ¸.•*¨) (¸.★¨*.¸¸.•`★¤ The hottest reunion ever!
Discovering himself was like lighting a flame.
How did two men who knew each other in another lifetime end up escaping the pressures of life and end up in the same country ready to explore another side of themselves? Ten years ago, his hang up on Taylor caused Eli his scholarship and left him questioning just who he was inside.
"And here I came halfway across the world to get away from the reunion." --Taylor
Now they found themselves in Spain in pretty much the same situation that started this whole mess. Taylor with a bloodied nose indirectly caused, mind you. There was a whole lot of twists and turns, a journey that was both trying and zealous all at once. Intertwining the past and the present, Our Reunion offered spice, drama and discovery of ones' self.
Eli was coming to terms with his sexuality "Your sexuality isn't just about sex." and Taylor was torn between wanting it all and having a family. "Love means nothing without commitment." In the end, both were willing to make sacrifices in order to keep the other happy, despite destroying the one thing they were trying to build.
A happy ending to a sweet but tumultuous romance. The epilogue was gold and I look forward to DRIVEN, the next book featuring Ben, Eli's history teacher, cus man, he sure needs his HEA.

I really enjoyed this quirky and sweet second chances story of Eli and Taylor. 10 years out of high school and Eli wants to explore the male side of his bisexuality. He takes a vacation to Spain and runs into Taylor who he had a crush on in HS. Taylor wants it all and have a family. They embark on a journey of self discovery along with a few steamy encounters!
No labels. No rules. Just you and me seeing what happens.
“Your sexuality isn’t just about sex.” He splashed me again, as if to emphasize how stupid I was. “It’s about who you fall in love with.”
My lips quirked into a smile. “I’m not sure this is the place to take you the way I want to take you.”“Check, please!” Taylor’s eyes searched the room wildly for a waiter.
Check out this sweet romantic story from Harper Logan and next up is Driven, the story of Eli's professor, Ben!

Taylor and Eli knew each other in high school, but never interacted. They come across each other while on holiday in Spain, and explore a relationship that ends up continuing after holidays are over. This was sweet, but had a slight bit too much (in my opinion) of yes we are together/no we aren't/yes we are. There were some parts that did seem like it fit the story, but then at times I felt that it was just a tad too over the top and was just there to have more angst in the story.
This is not a book. Its rhe start of one. There is no ending and not realy any main part. I want my money back. I can deal being tricked into buying short books, but this is like buying a car and only getting the wheels. I never said anything like this before but this author made me angry.
Incredibly predictable. The relationship is superficial and filled with manufactured drama that's nowhere near believable. The writing overall is juvenile and the dialogue is sometimes hard to follow because it's not clear which girl is talking.
Couldn't finish it after the third or fourth painfully predictable major plot point reveal. Probably the most predictable book I've ever read.
I've owned this ebook every since September 2016. As a matter of fact I own twenty of Harper Logan's books. My TBR piles include quite a few of her books. When the opportunity came to listen to an Audiobook version of one of her books was a dream come true. I leaped at the chance to listen to an ARC of this book, OUR REUNION in exchange for an honest review.
This story was so easy to listen to. The narrator was really great. You were pulled into the book by the narrator Chase Johnson putting the right emphasis on each individual character. You didn't get confused as to who was talking in this book featuring alternating main characters with each chapter. Have you gone to any of your high school class reunions? Or assiduously avoided them like the plague? Why wouldn't someone want to go to one? Our two characters had different yet similar reasons why neither didn't. Yet in an attempt to avoid each other they ended up in Spain on vacation looking for "love" or at least "love the one you're with".
The one you're with happened to be the last person you wanted to see or possibly to be seen by. There seemed to be a great deal of unfinished business between the two of them. The former high school kick and the gay nerd. Something that has remained unsolved to. Even though it was years in the making they finally had a chance to explore what could have been.
This is a humorous book that has its frustrating moments. At times I just wanted to bash the two guys heads together. Or scream at them to speak up. Or quit assuming one knew what the other was feeling. It is also a very romantic book. The European setting makes for some some magical moments for one of the young men's fledgling steps into the world of gay dating / mating. His tour guide, Eli is happy to show the ropes. But Taylor ends up being the tourist enthralled by by Eli's knowledge of Spanish architecture.
The author touches on a lot of subjects throughout her entertaining story. Among them are: the pros and cons of a long distance relationship, an entrepreneural spirit, pleasing others out of a fear to be yourself, what would make a candidate a great potential parent or a lousy parent prospect? The importance and influence of friends in high school & throughout life, being infected to another, blue collar versus a billionaire, and a closeted Bi. A burning question must be answered - What are you willing be sacrifice for what is important to you?
OUR REUNION not only is a very sweet second chance romance, one of the characters is also exploring this side of his sexuality for the very first time. It is easy to listen to, low on drama, with both characters willing to sacrifice their own happiness to not stand in the way of the other’s happiness. The only thing… maybe they did exactly that one time too many, because at one point it had me wishing for them to finally get their act together and talk it out already instead of making the choices for the other…
I loved how the ran into one another on a vacation, no less, far away from home, after having gone to high school together. Eli, who has never been with a man despite knowing he is bisexual for as long as he can remember, wants to use this vacation to finally give in – and who to better explore that with than Taylor, who he has been secretly crushing on and admired for his openness since high school, who now is running his own multimillionaire company...?
The narration was done by Chase Johnson, who did a wonderful job in giving the characters their own distinctive voices, even during the first-person-narration and not only during the dialogues. I think he could have put a bit more space between him and the microphone, because the p’s oftentimes were accompanied with a popping sound, which annoyed me the longer it kept happening…
