Wow!

Her name came to me in a dream. I love the realism of her voice and how she easily takes me back to the Bronx with her imagery. Very well done.

absolutely. gutting.

there are some things i couldn't relate to in the book because i'm not puerto rican but there are also some things that seem to be universal across the woc experience because some of the poetry had me in a grip, bringing back memories from childhood identity struggles.
