Born and raised in the small town of Milo, Maine, Thomas Washburn Jr. discovered a passion for writing, art and storytelling at a young age. Fueled by an over active imagination he spent countless hours working on his creations, getting lost in the worlds of the stories he created.

As Thomas grew older his passions changed from writing, literature and art to music. He spent several years from 1995 to 2012 playing in various bands, playing hundreds of shows around Maine, New England & Canada. Writing lyrics for the bands he played in gave him a chance to tell stories through a different medium. During that time period he also wrote several unpublished screenplays. After semi-retiring from music in 2012 Thomas rediscovered his passion for writing and in 2013 released his first novel The Returners.

Thomas is currently the author of over a dozen published works.

For nearly a decade, Freddy Ricker has followed a strict routine--fishing three days a week at his special spot at exactly eight o'clock, using his special homemade chum to lure the fish. Nothing unusual ever happened. But then he encounters a man in a blue hoodie. Though seemingly benign, the man's constant staring makes him increasingly uncomfortable. Days later, while Freddy is fishing again, the man in blue finally breaks his silence...and Freddy doesn't like what he has to say....

This was a quick read with simple, straight-forward writing. It was entertaining but just too predictable. It could use some editing but honestly, the mistakes don't detract from the story. I would try another book by this author--preferably a longer one with greater character development and an unexpected twist.
