Zel is totally focused on her job--she has her eyes set on moving up the ladder in the prestigious Dickson Hotel Company. Not even her paranoid adoptive mother can stop her from doing her job. But the new IT guy at Hotel Ever After is quite distracting...especially after he saves her from being trapped in the penthouse suite alone...
Each of the Hotel Ever After books is (very) loosely based on a fairy tale. Which means they're all guaranteed to have a happily ever after. They're also guaranteed to have a (very) sexy twist. My heroines aren't literally princesses, but they are very much in control of their destiny--and they're not afraid to take exactly what they want from their prince charmings!
IMPORTANT NOTE: these stories are novellas, each about 75-100 pages long. Perfect for an afternoon tryst!
Liza Penn is the pseudonym of an author living with her family in the piedmont of the Carolinas. She writes the Hotel Ever After books for fun and values her privacy.
This was read as part of a collection of four novellas via Kindle Unlimited Each novella centers around the Ever After Hotel, each story being a homage to a famous fairytale. While these were fun short reads, a handful of romance snacks if you will, they are nearly identical in plot and character development, right down to spicy scenes that are line by line repeats. Were these a fantastic exploration of brilliantly written romance? Nah. Were they a fun set of quick reads to scratch the romance itch? Absolutely! I might just recommend not reading them right in a row.
Hi everyone! I'm the author of this book, and I thought I'd use this space to tell you a little bit about the inspiration behind Zel & the Tower.
All of the Hotel Ever After Books are: short, sexy, modern, and inspired by a fairy tale
They're not literal retellings--don't expect magic or fairy godmothers. Instead, I hid details of my favorite fairy tales in each story. In this one, I was inspired by the story of Rapunzel.
Zel's name obviously comes from "Rapunzel," but her last name, Goethe, is a nod to "Gothel," the name of the witch in the Disney version of the tale. Of course, in the story, Rapunzel is locked in a tower. In my version, I put her in the top floor of Hotel Ever After, and her prince doesn't come in on a white knight (but he does have a white Harley....).
There are a few more fairy tale nods in the story--including characters that I'm sure you'll recognize from other fairy tales (and don't worry--they're getting their own books too!). I hope you enjoy, and stay tuned for my next book, featuring a girl named Aria who loves the ocean so much you'd think she was a mermaid... ;)
