In the depths of this book is the story of a young girl who finds herself, at a very young age, being sexually abused. She questions herself about what’s happening to make sure she’s not having a bad dream but the nightmare is real! She asks herself, “why am I going through this”, “why is he doing this to me”, “am I bad girl”. He scares her into not telling with threats, but the time comes when she finally tells the one person she thought would be there for her, her mother, only to learn not only is she not believed, but her mother takes the abusers side. Now what? How will she make it through this situation? Will she succumb to what she feels like is a life of “sexual slavery” or will she find another way to fight?
