Book 2 in the Tangled series. This is a continuous story and you need to start with book 1. They are available on Kindle Unlimited. Book 3 is out soon 😀
Scandal can either tear you apart or make you stronger. These two families are interlinked with lies, fortune and business. They love and hate each other.
At the end of the last book, we see Chole hurt from the families trying to separate her from Nathan. The families secrets and lies are tough for their relationship, but their bond is strong. As they find out what the families have done they are more determined to keep each other.
In this book, we see the story from more point of views. We see a jealous brother and a deeper scandal. We see love and hate. This book is full of drama just like the last one and there isn’t a dull moment. 4 stars out of 5.

"Tangled Lies" (Book 2 in the Tangled series) by Lizzie James
Lizzie James has a true writing gift that is observed in very few writers. She is able to write and bring together several complicated plot lines at one time; keep them all together while still focusing on the specific character or characters.
Her use of POV of the different characters adds to the complexity of the storyline, but also allows the reader to be able to better understand the characters individually and in relation to others.
I truly enjoyed this follow-up to "Tangled Web." The author has shown growth in her writing (more cohesive) and character development since she wrote her first novel.
My one suggestion, it is not reflected in my overall review above, is this: while sex is a big part of Chloe and Nathan's relationship, I would love to see more focus on the characters and the storyline as vs the multiple sex scenes. Those scenes can be relayed to as vs described. This would allow for their relationship to be more well rounded, as well. And for others to see what we see as readers. Since the author has a great means of writing and relating so much via her characters and multiple storylines, it would be a benefit to her readers, as well.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this novel. Read the first one before this one...

A few days ago I was so happy. Everything was perfect.
Secrets are supposed to be kept hidden. Not twisted or used as a weapon for another’s game. But when someone is holding all the cards and pulling all the strings, what will you do?
All because of a Walker. Every touch, every kiss, every time we…it was all a lie.
Following recent events in the previous book, heartbroken Chloe is a wreck and has no choice but to leave Nathan’s apartment...she needs her escape route with everything that has happened recently Chloe takes flight. Nathan is a loss for words, a broken man and now will stop at nothing to get Chloe back in his life-and the ring back around her finger! Even if that means stepping into the enemy’s camp…
After running around like a man processed Nathan does manage to track Chloe down and after “heated” reunion they place their armour back on, because now they need to face their families and jump straight back into the fire.
“Whenever you’re near me, I’m always lost to you.” His lips slammed down on mine, lifting me up and wrapping my legs around his waist.
Chloe starts to grow confidence in this story, she needs to find her place in the world and learn to trust Nathan again. Feeling disconnected with her family turning their back on her including her brother Chase. Chloe must put on a brave face but, when a familiar face from the past comes back on the scene Chloe, has the wind knocked from her as the horrors from that time come rushing back to haunt her.
She can’t let this shadow destroy her happiness, even when Adam still has her in his sights. Chloe must face anything that is thrown her way and as long she has Nathan by her side she can...right? He’ll always have her back...won’t he?
She was a mystery to me. How she could go from the dirtiest talk I’d ever heard one minute to back to being my shy Angel within a minute, I’ll never know.
Nathan knows he can’t let Chloe go again, he knows their road to happiness won’t be easy and with both of their families plotting behind their backs. Nathan cares deeply about Chloe and only wants to make her his. Battling with his family in and out of the office creates a ticking bomb, he knows that someone is playing a game and Nathan doesn’t have all the cards...but he does have a trick up his sleeve and to protect his Angel he’s willing to fight dirty.

My my, Lizzie James certainly like to keep you on your toes in Tangled Lies! I loved that she wrote different POV for characters, it’s mainly Chloe and Nathan-which is brilliant because you have his true thoughts on how he feels about Chloe and little more of a behind the scenes of what else is going on in the story. There soo much more to undercover, the changing of characters really does allow you to dive in deeper and as your just getting your head around a situation, when another drama bomb falls that leaves not only the characters reeling but you!

Tangled Lies is the second book in the Tangled series. It picks up perfectly where Tangled Web leaves off with Chloe and Nathan coming closer to having their HEA. As they become closer, family secrets that have been kept from her throughout her life are threatening to surface. This story is filled with love, lust, jealousy, and deceit.
Nathan is the perfect alpha male. He is amazing at business and can charm anyone. No what Chloe has come back into his life he as but his playboy days away and lives to make the one woman he has always loved happy. He is willing to give up everything to protect her. Chloe is a strong woman, she has given up so much to be with the man she loves; her relationship with her father and brother, a job with the family business, and she has become even stronger in the process.
In all honesty after reading Tangled Web I was not sure if I was going to read Tangled Lies. I struggled a bit with poor editing and some inconsistencies in the first volume. I’m so glad I took the chance and read Tangled Lies. Some of my questions form the first volume were answered, and I see the development of Ms. James’ writing. She is definitely becoming more comfortable in her craft. I look forward to the next volume in the series. I can’t wait to see further story development and the resolution of some of the conflicts in the story. I also look forward to seeing improvement in the quality of Ms. James’ writing, I can see great potential in her work.

I just love this story so much. These characters are so well written and they are so easy to get entangled with. Who doesn't love the hot rich guy falling in love with his one and only? But man the problems they face. Their families are the main problem, well they are the only major problem these two face. It is a wonderfully intriguing story line with wonderfully written characters along with a few "bumps in the road" along the way. Getting to the bottom of the mystery of Chloe's "family" is an interesting mystery and one that I thoroughly look forward to having revealed. There are the characters you love and the ones you hate, which makes for a really great read. Nathan and Chloe's love is true and when the two of them are together, well, bring out the fans because it gets really hot! This story is so well written and the characters are so very developed that you will want to read more and more. I know I do, and you will too. Highly, highly recommend this book and this series!

I've said it before but I'll reiterate that when you throw yourself into reading a series, sometimes, you can be let down after the first book, with subsequent books failing to meet your expectations.
ABSOLUTELY NOT THE CASE with Tangled Lies. If anything, it draws you deeper into the cutthroat relationships of these characters.
Many of the questions left unanswered in book #1 are finally laid bare but more intrigue is stirred up for Chloe and Nathan. Let's not forget the ever present spectre that is the evil trio of Adam, Chase and Sophie.
Their manipulations only add fuel to the inferno that's building and oh..... so much more is coming!!
Thoroughly loved Beta reading for Lizzie and know that her loyal fans will truly love what's coming in TANGLED LIES!!

Lizzie has done an incredible job of creating characters you can't help but to be rooting for!
Nathan Walker has met the love of his life. Chloe Johnson. The only issue is their warring and interfering families are doing everything they can to prevent them from getting their happily ever after.
The one thing no one counted on was Nathan's stubbornness and the strength of their bond, forged when they were barely children.
Even after announcing their engagement, the families don't stop. Unfortunately for Nathan and Chloe it's not just their brothers Adam and Chase attempting to destroy them as secrets for the past crawl to the surface.
I NEED book 3 ASAP Ms James so I can see how it all turns out.

Nathan and Chloe really can get through anything, as long as they have each other! Their story is perfectly imperfect! They are seriously hot together! Makes me want to eat an ice cream to cool myself down!
This story is very well written, I enjoyed reading about Nathan and Chloe's lives.

This is the first Lizzie James novel I've had the pleasure of reading.
The storyline and characters were strong and very well developed. I thought the twists and the use of snarky secondary characters made you root for HEA for Chloe and Nathan.
I wanted to slap Sophie and Adam something fierce. I wanted to do the same with Chase, until the end. Seriously if in book 3 Adam and Sophie aren't destroyed, knocked off their pedestals or killed out, I'm easy, than I'm gonna be MAD! If Chloe and Nathan don't get their HEA, I'm going to be livid.

Lizzie James has did it again. Giving us readers a wonderful steamy read.
This was a very well written easy flow read.
I absolutely love how well Lizzie James does with the characters POV, not many can hit all perfectly as Lizzie James has.
This book picks up where Nathan and Chloe left off. Nathan and Chloe face some situations that will keep you wanting more.
As with book one this one has some steamy part.
You will fall in love with Nathan and Chloe all over again.
Will Nathan and Chloe find their happy ending, or
will their challenges rip them apart?
I highly recommend this read.

Chloe and Nathan have overcome every obstacle in their way, including the mouthbreather Adam, the lurker Sophie, the petulant child that is Chase and the nasty shite Joesph.
The truth behind Chloe's mother - OMG! :*(
The story after all the conclusions you had after Book one, finally explained.
I know there's going to be more, not just because it says at the end: - To Be Continued ;)

No, you can't stop there! I need more, how can we wait to see what happens! Nathan and Chloe are fighting to be together and they think they are succeeding. they have so many people who want to tear them apart, and you never know what is going to happen next. Just finished reading this book, and WTF just happened. Yes I have answers from book one, but have so many question for Book 2 now. I thought this was a great read, finished the book in a day, and cant wait for the next book xxxx

This is the second book in this series and it just keeps getting better. The secrets that start to come to light about Nathan and Chloe’s family begin to unravel as they fall deeper in love. But they have their own secrets they don’t want revealed. I am very curious about Chloe’s family secret and what Nathan’s family had to do with it. As the some of the secrets are revealed to Nathan he going to do everything he can to protect her so that she never finds out. Nathan’s brother and Chloe’s cousin become even more devious in this book. There are still more questions to be answered so onto Tangled Truths

Omg!!! I love this series.. I thought the first book was good, but the books keeps getting better.. I’m truly hooked on this series. It’s like a modern Romeo and Juliet kind of story. I can’t wait to read the next book. Lizzie James is an amazing author. Start reading Tangled web, and you’ll never want to stop reading... The book of this series ends with a cliffhanger and you truly wants answers all the time. Do your self a favor and read this series. ( I couldn’t let the books down at all, I’ve read them both in one day!!)

Well this is book 2 in the Tangled series and it starts right off where book 1 finished with the drama of Nathan and Chloe having to fight their family to be together.
And this book doesnt let you down with yet more drama truth lies and deceit being thrown at you from all angles!
Nothing is ever easy for these pair as so many people are against them... but will they let them get their way or will go against all advice and stay together??
Such an easy read that kept me going from start to finish.

Tangled Lies picks up right where book 1 finished & being Lizzie's second published book you can tell she is growing as an author.
This book is full of lies, deceit. Characters you will love & some you will hate. A good strong storyline that could still go in any direction. And multiple POV which I was really happy about.
Can't wait to see where this series takes us next.

Absolutely incredible and the story gets better with each addition. Cannot wait to see what the next one has in store for us. This author will always leave you wanting more every time. I am eagerly awaiting the next in the series and will be one clicking the pre order button the second it becomes available. I am so addicted to this series.

The tangled web of lies and mistreatment and partial truths continue in book 2 of the series. Chloe has no idea how to open up and tell Nathan all of the truths about her past what if he leaves like everyone else. Nathan doesn't care what happens he finally has his Chloe. Their story has so many hidden layers and people trying to interfere. It's not easy when all those that are supposed to love them are at arms. The drama doesn't stop and the story just keeps unfolding. Not to find out if the love they have always claimed to have for each other will get the through all that is being thrown at them.
This author does her part well, unraveling the twist just enough to twist it back up somewhere else. There are so many players trying to keep these two apart that normally you would get confused but not this author. She lays it all out and lets you know the connection and tosses another zinger at you. Questions are answered and actions are twisted and it starts again. Well played.

More, plotting and scheming by a very persistent Brother and a Cousin from the Johnson family.

Chole and Nathan, well their Romance doesn't stand a chance, with those two plotting and scheming.
Talk about ups and downs, twists and turns.
Love, romance, deceit, lies, just about everything thrown in in this book, but to be left on a cliffhanger......NOOOO!!!
I sure hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book in this series.
All in all a very exciting, entertaining and enthralling read, I will definitely be following this new Author from now on.

Love, romance, deceit, lies, just about everything thrown in in this book, but to be left on a cliffhanger......NOOOO!!!
I sure hope I don't have to wait too long for the next book in this series.
All in all a very exciting, entertaining and enthralling read, I will definitely be following this new Author from now on.

I absolutely loved this book!
It was so well written and character development was excellent! Lizzie does such a good job of writing each and every character in this book. Chloe and Nathan have so much chemistry between them, Lizzie know how to make the pages sizzle! Normally the secondary characters in a book fall short, but not in Lizzie James book! The way both families are written, make me what to slap them all!
The plot thickens.
Will Nathan and Chole's love be able to withstand what life has thrown in their path?
I can hardly wait for book 3!

Book 2 sees Chole and Nathan get even closer much to the disgust of their families. Secrets lies and false lies could drive them apart but will they let it. Omg loved this story so much and couldn't put it down I need to find out more. Can't wait for the next in the series, would highly recommended as a must read series.
