What is the terrible sacrifice demanded by the reclusive Naiadens and why is it as inevitable as a blood-red tide?
Find out as Aiden and his friends accompany the Duke of Terek to the Island of Reid, embroiling themselves in a five-hundred-year mystery which could prove their doom or salvation. Despite the threat to their lives, they discover the Ducal Council has been called which causes them to rush toward the powerful trade city of Riften. Not only must they make the impossible journey, but they must do so while hounded by the evil, spider-like Scratchers.
Will they reach the Duchy of Riften in time? Or should they? They know it is a trap by the Mourning Lords, but to avoid it would be to give into their glimmer of fear and betray everything they’ve fought so hard to become.
Second book in series, pretty good, reminds me a bit of the young ancients series by p.s. powers, decent characters dialogue and action, the storyline is good, not my favorite main character but plenty of room to grow, will read the next one.
I believe you are either P.S. Power or his clone. Same character tropes and writing styles, which is not a criticism. I am hooked and will read the next installment of this book series.
