Preservation & Restoration of Tooth Structure

Rate this book
Unlike many existing books on the subject, THE PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF TOOTH STRUCTURES focuses on relating basic science to clinical techniques and procedures. It also details an understanding of the disease process as a foundation for the management of tooth disorders. The authors introduce a new cavity classification system to replace the Black system, first introduced nearly 100 years ago. The new system is based on all the latest dental materials in use. Both classification systems will be discussed. The book has a global appeal, particularly in areas which have a continuing caries problem. CD-ROM includes all the illustrations from the book, plus an additional 400 illustrations depicting the complete series of cases and treatments.

* Fully covers principles and instruments used in restorative dentistry, types of dental materials, and their applications * Details specific, frequently seen problems related to restoration, with a focus on the pulp and periodontium * Covers preventive techniques and operative intervention * Provides an excellent refresher in disease processes as related to tooth structure and decay

Operative dentistry textbook. Lots of practical advice, instead of just facts. Covers a range of topics, including basics of materials and periodontal and occlusal effects of and on restorations.
