Well written
This is a well written two person perspective story. There wasn't any confusion that sometimes happens with multiple authors. I really liked this shifter story. It was well developed. The Firm is still a bit mysterious but that's a good thing, keeps this interesting. Arlen and Sienna are an amazing pair. She has gone through a lot with her family and Arlen is a protector that will keep her safe. Arlen has respect for her and is able to do his job even when he's in heat and needs a mate. He's lucky that he finds her before it's too late.

Once Arlen kidnaps Sienna this book becomes full of excitement. From electric chemistry and giving into passion to kidnappings, shifter fights and becoming a fugitive wanted by a mobster, Sienna's evil father, and the shadow shifters, the action is non-stop. I really like Arlen, he is super alpha, yet sweet as well. Sienna is a spitfire as well. This is a fun read and I enjoyed it.

I do love these Shifter Squad books. Strong men who find their mates and will everything in their power to protect them.
Sienna Marquez has done everything to escape her past and build a new life. But now it's been taken away by a Chicago Shifter gang. Now the leader has taken her hostage. It seems she's back where she started with no way out.
Arlen Johnson was on assignment from the Firm to find and kill one of the top lieutenants of Chicago's Shifter gangs. He needs to do it quick because his heat is coming on. When he takes out some of the lower ups he notices the lieutenants girlfriend and decides to take her as hostage. He soon finds out Sienna isn't the person he thought she was and she may have some information to help him get his job done quicker.
Sienna and Arlen go through hell to get the job done and find love along the way.
Sienna was able to find that she's stronger than she thought.

Do Not Read
I couldn't finish four chapters. You couldn't make any sense in what was going on. Terrible flow. Had no idea what the book was about. One of the Worst books I have ever read.

Good
This was a little different type of shifter book but I found it an enjoyable read. This book was not all about the sex but centered on the story. I will look into more books by this author.

This is the first of the Chicago Catastrophe books, great start. I love Anya's writing style she does not disappoint.

I need to find me an Arlen....yummmmm!
Arlen is an Ex-SEAL and a weretiger. Currently on a job, he works for "The Firm" and it is a big job. He knows his target and he knows his target's schedules and moves. To make matters a tad bit more confusing/annoying for him he is in Heat. Yes, just what a weretiger needs to be going through. It seems though that with tigers this is a bit different than with other shifters. There is ONE chance with ONE mate and this mating (aka bonding) must result in a baby or his chance is gone. He knows he is basically married to his job and that is ok with him, that is until the little firecracker that he sees while watching his target appears....now it is game on. He is drawn to this woman and he knows nothing about her. How could this be. Well, no other way to check things out than making a grand entrance and shaking things up a bit, right?!
Sienna is a masseuse, or at least she was until Holland shows up. (Holland just happens to be Arlen's target and for really good reasons) Holland has shut down Sienna's massage studio and now has her kidnapped (really taken against her will) and makes her stay with him "until further notice." He is even sending her out on little runs to other bad guys, now isn't he sweet. One day she vows to break free from Holland just she did with someone from her past....is today that very day? Can she really be free?
Arlen now has Sienna in his sights and the tiger inside is just waiting to get out. Arlen is usually is control of his tiger, this is odd, why is he battling with his tiger, it must be "the heat" he is going through, right? When he sees the dark haired woman being driven to and from places and only there an hour at a time, he is about to start something he may not know how to finish. So he busts through the gate and decides that today is the day he will do something drastic, yes indeed, he swoops in and gets the girl, who obviously will be his in with the target himself. If Arlen takes her (who he assumes is Holland's girlfriend - never assume Arlen!) then Holland will be sure to want her back and there is his in. Only does it work out this way? Does Sienna have a trick or two up her sleeve?
There is a lot that takes place in this book, lots of twists and turns but all of which are easy to follow and you will be glad for these twists and turns, because of the dynamics that transpire between Sienna and Arlen along the way. Both have secrets, hers tend to be bigger and have had her endure more than she should. Will there ever be trust between these two? Is there a big turn and then more dynamics drawing these two closer together? Does the past come back to haunt them? Does the past haunts and trust issues cause them to walk away from each other or draw them closer? What is their happy ending?
Grab on for a wild ride, filled with spite, anger, laughter, tears, love and unbelievable fun all the way through. You will be hooked immediately and stay hooked until the very end. Promise you that!

Anya Nowlan is such a fantastic writer!!! Seriously if you have never read any of her work, stop what you are doing and go check them out, this is not something you will regret! Take it from me if you have anything planned while reading this, forget it. I kept on thinking i will do the housework after one more chapter, needless to say it didn't get done lol :-)
The way that Anya Nowlan writes she lures you into the world that she has built from her imagination and you never want to leave, you want ti make this amazing place your home! To me that shows the excellence of the writer, the fact that what comes out of her mind makes you forget about everything but her world and the characters and plot line that makes up this world! The story line in this book is captivating to say the least, from the first sentence of this story you are hooked, every single sentence in this tale keeps your imagination on the story, there are no parts of it that your attention wavers and you are with the charachters all the way through through each chapter and through it all the way to the end, so much so i didnt want it to end, i wanted to carry on reading into this world. The idea of the storyline is brilliant, i wont say too much as i would not to spoil any of the story for anyone but i gan guaruntee an action packed thrill of a ride along with some serious content that is a genuine concern to people on a daily basis. It also has a big theme of love and passion throughout the book which complements the action that this book is full of.
The characters.... Wow .... The first one i have to mention is of course is Arlen. He definately fills this book , now i dont mean with how much he is the book i mean his prescence... he has an aura of power, masculinity, danger like a cloak but with along with that his protective instinct run deep in his being, if there is a cause that he believes in then he goes the whole way and will put everything on the line so do what he believes is right! I loved Sienna's charachter! You find out that she has been through so much in her life but she is still standing strong proving that the abusers dont win. She can still hold her head up high and be true to who she is, she is also very protective of the people she cares about and she will do anything to keep herself free and safe. She is definately a force to be reckoned with when there is a threat to the people she loves! There are so many characters that i would love to mention but that would give away WAY too much of this tale.
This is an amazing book that everyone and anyone should read, it is just awesome!!! Definately worth more than five stars!!!

I loved this book! The characters were so rich and beautiful! Sienna Marquez is a spirited, head strong, massage therapist (who had to hide her identity because apparently children are to do what they are told and didn't be seen). A series of events happen and she finds herself about to be turned back to her parents. After she has spent what to her feels like a lifetime trying to distance herself from her father. Arlen Johnson treats her kindly but is understandably aloof because of his assignment. This storyline is so exciting, full action and scorching hot! Arisen is feeling his heat, but in his actions he has done a lot of things right in his life, and a lot of things wrong. He knows no other explanation there could be for his being sent by his employers (The Firm) to track down and kill one of the most influential lieutenants in the premier shifter crime organization in the region! . I definitely felt his despair at being in heat at this moment. But his mission has to take a distance second, when the right woman run to you out of the wrong place and Arlen has to focus on protecting her and keeping his paws off of her. I would love to read a follow up story for them! I love reading Anya Nowlan and Rory Dale books and I have fallen in love with this book. A uniquely new take on a storyline, it's well written and the characters appeared quite believable. The yearning of passion and love, the pain of loving someone with all your heart and not being able to act upon that love in kind was heartrending, you will discovered the reason they don't think that their love can work, your heart breaks for their pain. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this, and I believe others will as well. If you love a protective tiger, this is a must read for you. This is, in my opinion, a 5 Star piece of calorie-free brain candy—and that's good. That's the way I want my paranormal romance. It's an interesting telling of a storyline and very enjoyable. I actually love it better than the candy. I absolutely,positively loved reading this book.
Again this is a unexpected delightful romance with a tiger, and with a surprising twist and spellbinding the whole way through. This is thoroughly enjoyable and fun to read. My Compliments to both of the authors. The book presented the characters well and included excellent bad guys with some surprising turns. Thanks my hat off to the both of you. Your characters are full, rounded and interesting, your plot rises and falls like perfection. Over all you are so awesome! Definitely not has happy and up lifting like most of her books. But wow, what a great adventure we go on with The mysterious Firm sends in a trained killer/shifter to get the job done and gets kicked in the gut by meeting his mate. Sienna has serious baggage and trust issues, can Arlen accomplish his mission and get the girl? There is some mystery going on. This another great start to a new series, and I can not wait for the next one. Received free copy in exchange for honest review

Fast paced with humor and shifters her books always made me feel great after reading them.
Now that she colaborated with Rory Dale ,Anya Nowlan's books are even greater.
Passion,mystery,action with well written characters and a nice world building ths book is one you enjoy to read.
I love the references in older books by the author and was happy to see some shady characters that i have missed dearly .
Its a world you never want to escape!

In Time!!!
Arlen Johnson, an ex-seal tiger shifter was given the task to track down and kill one of the most powerful lieutenants in the Chicago shifter mob by his employers, The Firm.
Arlen's tiger heat was coming soon which made Arlen very moody/aggressive, he derailed from his mission a while when a beautiful specimen found herself in the wrong place at the wrong time. Arlen jumped into action & saved her.
Sienna Marquez, a former owner of a massage parlor wanted to forget her painful past but the Chicago shifter mob wasn't making in easy for her. Being held hostage by the mob wasn't fun but getting rescued by a sexy, panty-melting tiger shifter was an unexpected yet welcomed surprise.
She knew it was a bad idea to get involve with Arlen but Sienna couldn't fight the attraction that was between them. He felt important to her somehow, one thing let to another and their passionate night created a miracle.
Arlen never wanted a family because his job was too dangerous and he wasn't about to willingly bring someone into the abyss he was already deep into. But destiny had other plans for him.

THE GREAT DISAPURRANCE is the first book in Anya Nowlan and Rory Dale's new series CHICAGO CATASTROPHE . It was fast-paced, action action-packed and fantastic. Hearing about Spade and Shifter Squad Six was a delightful treat.

There is not a mission that he has failed and he was not going to falter on this one, not on getting his target and certainly not on letting his heat get in the way of it, even if it was making him question his decisions. Taking Sienna from Holland had been a terrible plan and now she was turning out to be an even bigger distraction. Sienna calmed his tiger and Arlen’s presence had an inexplicably strange effect on her, but Sienna didn’t want to be Arlen’s bargaining chip: she had sworn a long time ago to never again let a man control her life. Holland has already violated her free will. It had not been easy for Sienna to strike out on her own when she was 18, leaving behind a life of wealth to make something of herself, while hiding from her father, but the awful memories were a source of strength, rather than a reminder of weakness. All she wanted was a life of her own where she could make her own decisions and live by her own rules. Just a few months ago, Sienna had been the happy owner of her very own massage parlor. It had been her dream, her passion and through her hard work and determination she had made it a reality, with good, reliable clientele and then Holland had come and taken it all away from her. But Sienna isn’t safe, not from Holland, The Firm or her own father, all of whom have ulterior motives as far as she is concerned. Arlen knows that Sienna is his mate, even if she doesn’t know it yet, and he will do everything possible to protect her. But he has to complete his mission first. Another excellent, intriguing story that had lots of twists and turns to keep it interesting, and one which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. This is certainly a book I would have no hesitation in recommending. I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Just when I thought all hope was lost after Shifter Squad six series ended but Anya and Rory brought back the Firm in this new series. Arlene is a tiger shifter who is a former seal that works with the Firm. He was sent to take down a gangster who was shady. He forced businesses out of business as he did Sienna for not being able to pay the protection fee. Sienna worked hard to build her massage business. She had accomplished a really good clientele until a mob boss started coming. Things went from good to bad when she was kidnapped from her home by his two thugs . She was ordered to give him massages and then lent out to other big wig in the food chain. Arlene tracked them and kidnapped her from the thugs thinking he could hold her for Branson believing she was the girlfriend. Arlene realized she wasn't but she still had a lot of information. Arlene told her he was not holding her hostage but for her protection. Arlene delivered the info that she told him and they couldn't resist the feelings they had for each other. Arlene received a call and found out the Firm was turning her over and he protected her but she overheard snippets of it and felt betrayed again. Next a series of things happen but I need you to get the book to find out. This was a really good book. I received the book as an ARC but as usual I purchased it because I love this author. What an exciting action packed shifter romance!! This was so much fun to read. The characters are well developed and have just enough back story to complete them. Arlen and Sienna are both strong and passionate characters who don't ever give up. Their romance is sizzling and sweet. I really enjoyed seeing how these two handled everything the writer threw at them during the course of the book. From fight scenes in human and shifter forms to rooftop sniper scenes this story packed a punch with the action and excitement. If you are looking for an action romance with a sexy shifter and a sassy woman then this one should not be missed.

This is my first Anya Nowlan/Rory Dale read. It certainly will not be my last.
Arlen Johnson is a former navy seal/weretiger. He now works for The Firm - an organization of shifters that are for hire. He is tasked with bringing down a Mob Boss, who has gone into hiding. He happens upon Sienna Marquez, he thinks that she is the bosses girlfriend.
Sienna is hiding from something - read the book to find out what! But, she is scraping by making a living as a masseuse. Holland the mob boss of the Crimson Claws has kidnapped Sienna himself and the only time she leaves his house it to massage other mobsters. (really just massages!) Arlen kidnaps Sienna hoping to draw Holland out to rescue her so he can kill him. Turns out Sienna's secret is much bigger than being a mobster's girlfriend.
The story is fast paced, humorous at times, sexy (why shouldn't it be alpha male - weretiger!). The plot lines are tight and the characters are multifaceted and well defined. If you are in the market for a great shifter romance, I highly recommend this one and look forward to reading more of this series.

I love books like this that has a shifter alpha male who is dangerous to get on the wrong side of, but is so caring for his woman. Arlen is on a mission to take Holland out another shifter but also a bad guy. Who also happens to of kidnapped Sienna. Now Sienna knows a life of pain, she has a dark past she has been hiding from. Holland threatens that but Arlen can save her. The chemistry between these two show straight off when they meet. Not a romantic chance meeting but it works. I feel such sorrow for Sienna with her past and now with Holland trying to control her too. But boy is Arlen a hot alpha saviour and did I mention hot? Mmmmm mmmmm how he feels for her is beautiful. She has him wrapped round her finger and doesn't even fight it. She adores him just as much. It takes a little time to realise she can trust him but once she does? Everything fits into place and she will have his back through everything. The epilogue....lovely :)

This is the first story in the Chicago Catastrophe series and which is somewhat of a spin-off of the Squad Six series. I loved Arlen as the hero of the story and the connection with The Firm and Squad Six helped this story pull me right into it. Sienna was a great character who spent a lot of time trying to distance herself from the father she hates and fears, when a client from her former massage parlor decides she will be his personal masseuse...and it doesn't matter that he helped put her out of business she gets no say. When Arlen kidnaps her thinking that she is the girlfriend of the Crimson Tiger leader he has been sent to take out, he doesn't realize that he is actually rescuing her. Unfortunately once Arlen lets The Firm know about her they decide to send her back to her family...whether she wants to go or not and it is up to Arlen to convince her that he is not in on this plan. This is a great start to a new series and I already have the next in the series...can't wait to start it!

His mission at the moment is to kill the head of the Crimson Claws, a Mafia type shifter group who are the new underworld bosses of Chicago. Trying to get to a man who is always heavily guarded is not easy. He will have to find a weak link.
Sienna Marquez has just lost her massage parlour because she couldn't afford all the protection money she had to pay. Now the boss of the Crimson Claws decides to have her as his own personal masseuse.
This is a romantic suspense with shifters. We get all the usual problems when dealing with a Mafia type villain multiplied by shifter strength and heightened senses. A hero who needs to find a mate and a heroine with lots of secrets.
Fast paced, action packed and sexy. A really good book with plenty to get your teeth into.

Poor Sienna. She runs away from her abusive father, makes a life for herself, and then the mob moves in, and she loses her business because she has to pay too much money to the mob. Then when the mob boss kidnaps her and imprisons her so she can be his personal masseuse she despairs that she will ever get free. I felt so sorry for her. She has been a victim twice. Then one day a man named Arlen comes and kidnaps her to use her as leverage against the mob. But Arlen isn't a bad guy and as their feelings develop, other forces try to take her away from him. They are on the run from three different groups wanting her. This is a very fast paced book and I loved how being with Arlen, Sienna develops confidence and her fearlessness. She is even willing to sacrifice herself to save Arlen, and go up against the mob and her father.

After reading the book description, I expected it to be kinda predictable. Boy, was I wrong. i love tigers and Seals have always been special to me so this was a real treat. Arlen has been ok with his life as a member of a covert organization called The Firm. When he was sent to kill a mobster and ended up kidnapping the victim of the mobster, everything changes. Sienna is just trying to live her life under the radar to stay out of her fathers reach and everything goes wrong. I love how strong a woman Sienna is and she turns out to be just what Arlen needs. They must fight their way through the mobster and his henchmen, the Firm and it's troops, as well as Sienna's father and his cohorts. Add to it the heat and attraction they feel for each other and you have a fantastic tale. I voluntarily reviewed this book and really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next story.

Great read
Loved both protagonists as they were flawed yet really honest with each other. Their growing relationship stemmed from this honesty though it does help that the hero can sense when Katherine is being evasive. There is also a mutual respect that again makes these characters memorable. I have to admit I was looking for a BWWM romantic suspense. This novel does not fit into that category though I have noticed to my chagrin that many Latina characters are being placed in the BWWM genre. This is not satisfactory and misleading. It would behove the authors to check their books and ensure the categories their novels are placed in is correct to avoid customer disappointment and unwarranted negative critical reviews. However after saying that, I have to admit I did enjoy the novel and would read more of this author especially if it is a BWWM story!

Well you can't beat a good story by Anya and Rory. Just love Arlen and Sienna.

Then along he comes, Weretiger seal Arlen Johnson...wow and he is about to change her life again but in a good way. Arlen has problems of his own too. He needs to find a mate to bond. Oh dear, nothing is ever simple is it. A fast paced story of life, death, love, passion, drama, secrets lies and a beautiful little shifter baby. What more could anyone want. Loved it.

Good book
Arlan and Sienna's story was very entertaining. I loved the aspects of mystery and excitement. Is more than a love story but at the same time is not just mystery or suspense it is the perfect mix and I love it. I originally thought that Sienna said some of the things she did in the beginning because she had been in an abusive relationship, it shocked me when it turns out she ran away from her parents. I think her dad got what he deserved in the end and should have gotten more. I've been disappointed with the people that run the firm I don't know when they are going to learn? Anyway I want to say a lot more but that who's give everything away.
