This is not a very long book, but it explains a lot about feathers, which Chris Maynard uses in his art (well illustrated here). We bought the book after buying one of his shadow boxes, and I really enjoyed his description of feathers, how they work, their biology, and his relationship with them. Probably mostly for people who come to his work through his shadow boxes.
