A very brief look into the history of the rose, but I enjoyed it and found it very educational.

The full title is Roses: A Romantic History With A Guide To Cultivation, by E. Janet Browne. It was given to me several years ago by a friend, who knows all about my own love of roses, especially the old fashioned ones. This little book is a great introduction to roses, telling their history, instructions on cultivation, and in general helps the reader appreciate this "queen of flowers." Filled with beautiful, full color photographs and illustrations.
