These nuns are doing God's work in a less traditional way.

Sister Act meets The Exorcist

Seduced by the promise of magic, Hennie joins a coven of nuns to help them battle against the forces of evil. Little does she know she already possesses a great deal of power, and the big man downstairs doesn't like it.

There had always been something lurking in the shadows-a presence trying to influence Hennie. After the death of her father, the voices in her head consume her, pushing her toward a violent act she might never forgive herself for.

With the help of witches, disguised as nuns, Hennie's mind is rescued and her heart unburdened. Now, inducted into the coven and tasked with fighting evil, Hennie finds herself up against forces far greater than she could have imagined.

As she continues to learn the craft, Hennie discovers she has a power of her very own. Unfortunately, using it has only put a target on her back. To defend themselves against a plague of demons, the coven must recruit a demon hunter. A man whose heart is as dark as the monsters they need him to destroy.

Very Much Worth the Read!

I read a good many "discount" books. You know, the ones offered for .99 cents, to showcase a new, self-published author, or that Amazon uses to hook you into their "unlimited" program. Most of them have been fair reads, a few real dogs, and a few had good stories and fairly adept authors. This book, however, is far and away one of the best "cheap" reads I've ever taken a risk on!
Ms. Jedlicka shows the rare skill that separates a good story teller from a great one! Excellent character development, a wonderful plot, and skilled story-telling kept me turning pages, wanting to know the next step in the unfolding story. I cared about the main character, and was quite caught up in Jedlicka's world, and theological worldview.
Now, please excuse me, I'm off to purchase the next book in the series !

WOW! What a creative imagination!

Nuns, witches, the devil, a murder! Oh and demons! All in one story. Hennie is the main character, and what a character she is. Lots of twists and turns, at times a little hard to follow and I had to reread a paragraph or two, but I still couldn’t put this book down. I wasn’t expecting the ending. Not sure if Hennie’s story continues in the next book, if there is a next book, I’m not sure, I would like to know what happens to her. I do recommend reading this. It was different from other witch stories I have read. All I can say is enjoy!

I got this for free from the author via a promotional website. I was interested in the premise of a coven of witches in a convent that is fighting against evil, and liked it very much initially. Yet it ended up going in what I considered a much more predictable direction. It did have potential, but I don't think I'll be reading the sequel.

The book though in the horror genre is funny and scary. I loved the way the writer incorporated creative dialogues and punch lines. Loved the book!!
