Finn Brannigan has a need for speed. Fast cars, fast jets, and the fast life that comes with being a TOPGUN aviator. He’s flying missions over Afghanistan when his media mogul father dies unexpectedly, leaving Finn an airline in the wilds of the Alaskan wilderness. Which is a cool surprise, though he hasn’t a clue what he’s supposed to do with three small planes half a world away.
Nine months later, burned out from multiple deployments, Finn leaves the Navy and heads north to the Last Frontier to escape the world. But his planned isolation is blown to bits when a runaway bride insists he fly her to her planned honeymoon cabin located in his remote mountain town of Caribou.
As the short Alaskan summer spins out, Finn finds himself wanting to slow the days down and savor every delicious moment with the free-spirited singer/songwriter who’s made him feel alive again.
Tori Cassidy has had it with dishonest, cheating playboys. Alaskan bush pilot Finn Brannigan is exactly the kind of man she can envision building a life with. Hardworking. Honest. Ordinary.
There’s just one problem: Finn is lying about who he really is.

And the last one has fallen. Ex-fighter pilot Finn is left a small airline in Alaska when his father dies. Having always been on his own and as the youngest brother in the clan, he seems to not believe in love. But when the woman from a one night stand happens to be his next passenger time stands still. Has he ever forgotten about the one night he had? Can Tori be his ticket for a HEA? Or wil he become the only brother to not find his future while understanding the past? A great ending to a wonderful series.
Alaska,Big Skies and True Love and the end of a series I couldn't put down!
I recently binge read the entire 7 Brides for 7 Brothers series while on vacation in Hawaii. To me the island of Kauai is one of the most romantic places in the world. So, what better place to read the collaborative romance series of some of my favorite romance authors! I know some of you might be thinking you could find other things to do then read when in Hawaii. But really between the river cruise, and sunset catamaran cruise, snorkeling and trekking through beautiful tropical gardens, there is plenty of time to eat breakfast on your patio, sit at the three tier pool at your resort or just soak up the sun on a not so crowed beach on the island. This romance series by Roxanne St. Clair, Joanne Ross, Christine Ridgeway, Melody Anne ,Ruth Cardello, Barbara Freethy and Lynne Raye Harris, is the perfect island vacation companion (second to my spouse of course!) I admit I might have skipped a few sunsets just to keep reading, much to my brother and sister-in-law’s dismay! After all this was supposed to be a romantic couple get away. Oh but no one writes melt your heart romance like these authors! I first encountered this series in one of the authors’ newsletters and was immediately intrigued and ordered the entire series right then. It is available on Kindle Unlimited and can be read with your subscription but as my Unlimited was full at the time, I purchased the whole set. Something I rarely do! However, I was anxious to have this set for my vacation. Two things attracted me to this series. First, 7 Brides for 7 Brothers has to be one of my all- time favorite musicals. My millennial uber-feminist daughter just can’t see the romance in being snowed in on a mountain with 7 men who pretty much kidnapped you in order to “trap” you into marriage! But having been snowed in with her very sexy mountain man father, I can see how love can blossom in some not so great circumstances. I couldn’t resist seeing how these authors handled 7 ultra-independent billionaire brothers finding their true loves in some less than perfect situations. The second factor that I found interesting was the idea of seven authors collaborating on one series. This is not an anthology of these romance writers novellas or short stories. This is a collaboration where these authors with different writing styles, characterization and romance genres (contemporary, suspense, chick lit etc.) agreed to a specific plot line , characters and how settings, personalities were all going to fit together. I have had personal experience with collaborating with other authors on a novel and the result was less than satisfactory. Of course, I was a young Honors English student and the collaboration was on a school assignment, so my income and career were not at stake. Still it requires a lot of time, interaction and communication between authors. In order to get the plot to be consistent, the interactions between different characters (the one you are responsible for and the others your fellow authors are writing about)to flow seamlessly and the timing between chapters correct can take months of meetings, conference calls, endless sleepless nights and a few strained friendships to get it right. These ladies not only did that flawlessly, they have gone on to collaborate again in 7 Brides for 7 soldiers. And if you can believe their newsletters, they still admire each other and are willing to continue to work together! My own experience with collaboration left me traumatized and afraid to write for years! The novels are complete with no cliffhangers and thus could be read as stand- alone. I think it is best if you read the series in order starting with book 1 Luke by Barbara Freethy and ending with Finn by JoAnn Ross. Each of the 7 Brannigan Brothers has his own personality, lifestyle and own brand of sexy manhood. Yet, they all share love for their siblings and a brokenness from an early family tragedy. As I said the flawless consistency in the interactions between the brothers from book to book as well as a smooth timeline that is adhered to by each author is amazing. There is more than enough steamy romance in each book without overwhelming the storyline. Each brother comes to terms with his roadblocks to love in a different way and a different setting from Yosemite to Italy. I can see how this allowed each writers’ special style to be showcased. The descriptions of the settings made the books come to life for me and made me feel like I was experiencing the scene with the characters. Being able to get lost in a book, leaving my own fears, problems and insecurities behind even for an hour or so a day was heavenly. That feeling of timelessness, escape from reality, is to me a mark of great romantic fiction. The authors of 7 Brides for 7 Brothers achieve that in this series! Congratulation to JoAnn Ross and the rest of the authors of this series! Well Done!
Good conclusion to the series. Finn is the youngest of the Brannigans, and at this point the only one left unattached. As a Navy pilot he's enjoyed the adrenaline rush associated with it and the attentions of the ladies on the ground. However, between his father's death and two near-death experiences, Finn is ready for his next adventure. Conveniently, his father left him an airline in the wilds of Alaska, giving Finn a chance to enjoy some peace and quiet. To aid in that, he doesn't tell anyone in Caribou, Alaska, that he's the new owner of the airline. They all believe that he's just another pilot. His peace and quiet come to an abrupt end when he picks up a runaway bride who plans to use the intended honeymoon cabin for her own chance at peace and quiet.
Tori has had a rough year. Her singing career is at a standstill while the now-bankrupt recording studio finds a buyer for her contract, leaving her broke. Her engagement to her childhood crush comes to a crashing end when she discovers his cheating, lying, and actual plans for the future. I had to laugh when she reminisced about finding out about his cheating and how she thought about "Bobbitizing" him. I'm old enough to remember that event, especially since it happened not far from where I lived. Tori may be down, but she isn't out. She is determined to write some new songs and restart her career, even if she has to go back to the beginning to do it.
Both Finn and Tori get a shock when he arrives in Anchorage to pick up a honeymoon couple. They had had an intense one-night encounter a year earlier, something that neither of them was able to forget. I enjoyed that reunion as the sparks flew fast and furious between them. Finn rocked the cocky pilot attitude, pulling out all the stops in flirting with Tori. Tori can't deny that the sparks are still there, but she's not in the mood to restart anything with Finn. I liked how Finn backed off a bit, his protective instincts coming up when he realizes that she's hurting. I loved the way he looked after her that first night when he went to check on her and found her somewhat the worse for champagne.
I enjoyed the development of the relationship between Finn and Tori. Finn was all for seeing where the sparks would take them, but Tori wasn't so sure. The depth of the connection she felt during their one-night encounter had scared her into running. Meeting Finn again stirs up those same feelings and the same fears. Because of her past, Tori has trouble believing that love lasts. While Finn started out going for the attraction, it wasn't long before he realized that there was something more going on. But he too had some issues believing that love was in the cards for him. It was great fun to see him call one of his brothers for advice, and have that brother bust out laughing because he'd done the same thing. Finn also has the problem of Tori not knowing that he is a billionaire's son and owner of the airline. He knows he has to tell her but keeps putting it off for the "right time." I ached for both of them when the truth came out. Finn knows he screwed up, but he isn't going to give up. Tori rightly felt betrayed, and it only added to her belief that love never lasts. I liked the lecture she received from her best friend, and what she did with the advice she got. Tori's big moment was great as she used her music to tell Finn how she felt.
The central theme that ran through all seven books was the importance of family. From a collection of brothers that rarely spoke to each other, much less spent time together at the beginning, to the loving, supportive brotherhood they became, their journeys were unique and emotional. Though their father had been an absentee one after their mother's death, with each book the depth of his love for his sons became more evident. In Finn's case, he had it a little easier than his brothers because his father spent some quality time with him on their trip to Alaska. There was also an interesting twist to the Alaska connection that I didn't see coming, showing that Finn wasn't the only one who had secrets. The epilogue was a terrific wrap-up to the series. The scene in the library was a moving one, and I loved that Finn was the one to start the new tradition.
A great series about seven brothers who learn more about their father after his death and how much he really did love them.
Finn Brannigan is a TOPGUN aviator for the Navy. While he’s flying missions over Afghanistan he learns his media mogul father dies unexpectedly. Colin Brannigan left his youngest son an airline in the wilds of the Alaskan wilderness. Finn thinks it's a cool surprise, but hasn’t a clue what he’s supposed to do with three small planes.
But after escaping death twice Finn leaves the Navy and heads to Alaska looking for isolation. But his isolation doesn't last long when he flies a runaway bride to her planned honeymoon cabin located in his remote mountain town of Caribou. Turns out they have some history from a one-night stand about a year ago. Meeting Tori again and spending time together makes Finn feel alive again and wanting what his brothers found. But he's keeping a secret.
Tori Cassidy is trying to rebuild her life because of a dishonest, cheating playboy. She is really enjoying reconnecting and spending time with Finn. But once she learns about the secret he has been keeping will that end everything for them?
Finn by JoAnn Ross is the seventh book in a fun new series (7 Brides for 7 Brothers). The books are all written by different authors and all are contemporary romances about the seven brothers and their seven brides. Each can be read alone, but then again why would you?
Finn is the youngest of all the brothers. He always felt like a bit of an afterthought being so young when his mother died. He spent his childhood dreaming about flying and grew up to become a naval aviator. So when his father left him a small airline operation in Alaska and since Finn was done with the navy, he jumped at the chance. Finn found his new life to be almost everything he wanted until he remet Tori Cassidy. Tori has had an interesting ride with her life, not the least of which is spending her honeymoon alone in Alaska where she remet heartthrob Finn. Small towns being what they are, there is no telling what everyone knows or doesn’t and they is stuff the know. Secrets always come out.
Finn, the last of the series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers by JoAnn Ross was a fun read.
Knowing that I have loved this series from the very beginning, I thought that there was no better reading choice to start the new year than Finn. Not to mention that Finn's story was the last one in the series, thus I expected some grand finale but instead I ended up being slightly disappointed.
Throughout the book I had trouble understanding Tori. I couldn't understand what motivated her actions and choices. It felt as if she had some demons only for the sake of having some. And her ridiculous relationship with IV (IV: I don't love you. Tori: I don't love you either. IV: Let's get married! Tori: Okay.) didn't exactly help. And her relationship with Finn wasn't any better. Everything seemed to go too fast. And given the fact that she just got out of a terrible relationship, which involved her being cheated on, she was too quick to trust him without actually knowing him. I just didn't like her. Period.
As I have mentioned in the reviews of the previous books in the series, some of my favourite parts from the books included stories of Colin and Kathleen, the Brannigans' late parents. And here I got none. I mean, there were some stories about family and forgotten relatives but it was all done so matter-of-factly that it could have been omitted altogether.
Thank God Barbara Ann and Mary were there to save the day. The two small-town middle-aged women who had both the tenacity to run a whole town and the kindness and love to be Finn's mother-figures. They were so predictable that it was impossible for me not to like them.
Even though it wasn't the grand finale I expected, I am both glad that I have finally finished the series and kind of sad that there are no more Brannigan brothers to marry.
Awesome, absolutely loved each and everyone! You simply cannot begin with Luke and stop! You absolutely must read them all! Warning, read in order or, spoil alert for the others! Finn's story was so moving, he always felt he was the one who was supposed to be the girl! And Tori, treated like a piece of throw away after loosing her parents, these two were completely destined to end up together!
Ladies, KUDOS, for each story having its own twist, without making the reader feel like they had to read the book simply because it was needed for the next. You made us WANT the next installment of the Brannigan brothers, no small feat! Excellent reading from Luke all the way to Finn without desire to move or change until all 7 were read, in order. Only nice thing about being sick, no guilt for starting at 4pm yesterday and finishing at 7om today, a true pleasure, all seven books!
This was a sweet finish to the 7 brides for 7 brothers series and I really liked the finale.
Tori and Finn had met previously and spent an unforgettable night together.
Tori runs because finn makes her feel too much and she dives into a marriage proposal of convenience. Tori finds out her husband to be is cheating so goes off to the wilds of alaska on the honeymoon with out the groom.
The once navy pilot tuned charter pilot in Alaska, finn is in for a surprise when he picks up tori to take her on her honeymoon. Now it is his chance to get the girl. Loved the story and sad to see the series end. Well done to all the authors xxx
Finally the youngest Brannigan brother checks into his inheritance. This one makes the most sense, he is a former Naval pilot and he inherits an Alaskan airline company. Tori is a runaway bride that decides to go on the honeymoon anyway. Tori is also the one that Finn let get away a year ago. The chemistry for this second chance romance is off the charts. This is a great series that showed the brothers that family is everything and love is worth attaining. In death their father showed the love he had for his sons that he didn't show in life.
Finn Brannigan is seeking peace and quiet. He has claimed his inheritance in Alaska. He was a Navy pilot and now flying small planes. His second brush with death, has lead him home. Tori Cassidy has been a gypsy for a long time. She is running from a sham engagement. She ends up in Caribou, Alaska and into Finn's orbit. They both knew what they had was the forever but we're to scared to act. Finn has never told Tori who he was. He wanted her for him, Finn the aviator. Like all secrets, they always come out. Love love love the ending.
This is a wonderfully written book. Finn is a sexy, alpha ex-Navy fighter pilot. He’s the last single Brannigan. Tory is a runaway bride that has left her cheating, lying ex-fiancé. It won so great to watch these two strong people struggle with their pasts to find their futures. What was really cool is that JoAnn Ross had Jaspar Lepak write a song for Tory in the book. You can find the link on Joanne’s website and in the back of the book to listen to Carry Me Home.
This is another new author to me. I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and hate to see it end. I’ve enjoyed finding out how each of the Brannigan sons find peace with the loss of the father they thought lost himself in his work after the death of his wife, but who actually showed he knew them all better than they could ever imagine. The boys each find true love and their own HEA, becoming close again through their journey to discover the reason for the different legacy left to each of them.
A great finish to the final story in the Brannigan series the final brother Finn finds his ever after with Tori Cassidy. Finn a naval aviator leaves the navy to persue his inheritance in Alaska a small bush plane aircraft business whilst flying his plane he picks up Tori a woman he had a brief one night with and whom he never forgot and she is a runaway bride with a story. Whilst discovering their true love for each other they also discover things about themselves. This is a heart warming ending to a great series.
Finn the youngest of 7 brothers decides that after leaving the Navy, he will accept his inheritance as owner of the Alaskan airline his father left him. Shortly after arriving, one of his fares, just happens to be a former lover, Tori who Finn had made an instant connection to. While reuniting, Finn and Tori learn a lot about themselves but will Finn find his HEA like his brothers?
The youngest of the seven brothers, Finn , always felt alone. It was t but he had had a chance night with sister her Tori Cassidy, that he knew he was missing out on something special. The fact thAt all seven of his brothers had changed their lives after receiving a legAcy from their deceased dad, had him more determined to not follow in their footsteps. Until once agAin Tori enters his life.
The series closes with the story of Finn and Tori and their second chance at romance. He inherited an airline in Alaska from his father and is surprised when she turns up on the flight. They're both keeping secrets but their explosive chemistry quickly brings them together. They find themselves and each other, if they can find the courage to love. A nice end to the series.
This was the final book in the 7 brides for 7 brothers series. We meet Finn Brannigan the final single brother. I former navel Topgun pilot who now flies up in Alaska. He reconnects with a runaway bride who he had a one night stand with. Sparks fly and these two work on their chemistry. Read all of the books they are great!
Finn and Tori's story is set in the wilderness of Alaska. It's a great story and a fitting story for the youngest Brannigan son. A well written book by an author whose work I haven't read before, but I will be reading more of her books now.
I loved all 7 books. Wonderful message of love and family. There's always more than meets the eye. Sometimes love may not be spoken or obvious, but if you look close enough the signs are there.
The final book in the series is a very good one. I immediately like Finn Brannigan. He'd been through a lot but he was not as reticent regarding love as his brothers. I very much enjoyed Tori's character. I loved their connection (re-connection) and how it moved forward. I loved the epilogue.
Finn and Toni's story was emotional, tearjerking and exciting to read. They came together knowing that emotional connection was there but they were afraid to let the other in, such love can never be lost, must be nourished and enjoy to the fullest.
Last but not least is Finn what can I say read it I always some how forget to leave reviews I re-read to find if I miss something to know that through a loss you can find yourself, love, and forgiveness so read this series.
I love anything written by JoAnn Ross, and she did an excellent job with this book in the 7 Brides series. I would recommend this series to anyone who loves romance and good stories about family
I liked the series. This book didn't blow me away. It was ok then hint of secret late in the book then revealed at the end. It was not a bad book just didn't grab me sweep me away.
This is the last of an incredible series. Finn the last to find his true mate is a pilot in Alaska after leaving the Navy. Meets back up with a girl he met once & never forgot. The two broken souls have a rocky exciting road
I really enjoyed the series idea and the unfolding of the base story line. Using the variety of authors in such a cohesive way was unique and very well done in this case. It was a great week or so of reading. I went straight through!
