The author of Skin and Good Girl Gone Bad pens another sizzling tale of sex, scandal, and high-stakes corruption when a hard-hitting cop investigates the sultry, secretive hostess of an upscale "gentlemen's club" in the wake of a brutal murder...

It takes more than a red-hot body and stunning sex appeal to manage a club like Callahan's successfully. Jade Devereaux hides whip-sharp smarts and cold calculation behind her sleek facade. She's come a long way from the frightened teenage girl who was once prey to a brutal man. Now, in the cat-and-mouse game of sexual escapades, Jade makes sure that the men are her prey.

When a wealthy businessman is viciously murdered mere yards from Callahan's, cynical cop Jase Vaughn turns to the exclusive private club for answers. Luscious Jade Devereaux sends his masculine desires into overdrive the moment he sees her, but he has plenty of experience with both women and crime suspects, and he can tell Jade has secrets to hide -- secrets that are somehow connected to this twisted killing.

Jase is determined to strip away the pretense and expose the real Jade Devereaux, even if that means getting closer to her than the love-them-and-leave-them playboy has ever been to a woman. If she's guilty, Jase has sworn to see her behind bars. If she's innocent, then she could be the killer's next victim. But whether Jade is guilty or innocent, Jase realizes to his dismay that they are both falling victim to something neither has ever known -- the power of love.

Third in the Hot Cops erotic romantic suspense series surrounding a gentlemen's club somewhere in California.

My Take
The primary theme is Jade's fear of men, of sex. Tabke uses this to create tension between Jade and everyone with whom she comes in contact. Jade refuses to go beyond flirting and dinner with anyone in her very narrow world and she will not step outside of its boundaries. Jase certainly opens himself up to some harassment claims...even if his actions do come across as so very arousing!

My main complaint is Jade. She's exactly what Jase claims. A cock tease. It seems to be the only interaction of which she is capable. And then she gets pissy when a guy pulls it on her. Hey! Turnabout is fair play. If you don't like someone doing it to you. Don't do it to them. She's the same way with truth — a tease.

An interesting read with some depth; certainly with some twists and turns! I did love the sound of Jade's dresses and I liked Jase's very alpha approach.

The Story
Jade Devereaux manages Callahan's, a gentlemen's club. A good one until Jack Morton bought it from Callahan. Now Morton expects the girls to whore themselves. Only, it seems there is someone who doesn't like it as member after member ends up killed.

Jade is terrified that she killed one of them. Considering the murder charge hanging in her past, she's too frightened to consider talking to Detective Vaughan even when that same past rises up to threaten her.

The Characters
Jade Devereaux is hot enough that men's jaws drop when she walks by. And she uses that reaction to get what she wants even though she won't go beyond the tease. Jade has issues about men touching her. Not surprising considering her past. What is surprising is that she took on this job even if it does enable her to provide for her little sister, Trish. Branford Pettigrew is Jade's friend and lawyer.

Detective Jase Vaughan has recently returned to regular police work from having been undercover for too long. His partner, Ricco Maza, is Jade's male version. A man hot enough to get any woman he wants with a crook of the finger—Jase comes a very close second. Detective Kowalski plays the police heavy in this.

The employees at Caldwell's include Rusty, a mentally-challenged young man to whom Jade gives a job; Mac, the bartender; and, Thomas Proctor, the majordomo; the ladies include Dominique and Genny.

Andrew Townsend is a nouveaux riche ass who can't keep his dick in his pants. Jack Morton is the new owner of Callahan's and seems to be having money problems considering how he's allowed the membership qualifications to lower and is now insisting that Jade "take care of" Katsuo Hiro, Otis Thibodeaux, and any other clients who want it.

The Cover and Title
The orange-red on black cover is certainly sexy enough with the practically nude woman kneeling in her cute little dotted boy shorts, long tresses somehow covering the naughty bits. The title works on two levels as Jade Devereaux, the main character, certainly is Jaded by her past and her current lifestyle.

As a romantic suspense, it was okay. Not great. I was expecting something more erotic, too, since Tabke's previous books were hotter. Jaded was pretty tame in the sensuality aspect, no different from any mainstream RS.

I loved it! Less erotic than the second one but sexual tension were high. A bit of angst and I loved the heroines. Going to read more books from this author.

Loved the character development and chemistry between Jade and Jase. Didn't realize it was book three of a series so had to order the other two 🤦🏼‍♀️ Storyline came together well at the end, just a bit silly hence the 4/5.

Omg I love this book so much. Great story line and I love the characters to damn they have great chemistry together. I love jade so much bc she is a strong woman and smart and she the shit when it come to her life and sister. I mean she went threw alot threw her childhood and so did her sister. Jade and Tina have a great relationship threw this book bc jade did everything to keep her safe from her mom and other ppl mostly anyone that is trying to hurt her. I love jade bc she is a loving sister and a great boss even though threww out the books she seem to loss it bc of one man that she want but at the same time don't want bc of her situation. Jase is one hot cop and a badass guy when it come to his job, and he is def HOT all the way. When he meets jade he fall for her very hard, and threw out this book he try avoid her bc she is a suspected in a muderdur case he is in charge for. But he goes give in alot when he see her bc he can't have her. All jase want in a woman is class and dosnt lie to him and that he can trust that woman. But jade is everything he want but there is one down fall which is her lying to him every time they talk. But I love how they work out threw there relationship, I mean its one bumpy ride but they get threw it. This book was awsome bc I never read erotic books before bc I'm always reading vampires or anything that has thinner in it. But when I read the back of the book in had to try it out and omg I love it so much. I love how the author wrote this book, it's like a Romeo and julet kinda thing going on threw this book. The sex scene was awsome to and I love how jase and jade try so hard to keep away from each other but when they come near each other, there is this thing that draw then back to each other, they fight so hard but in the end they couldn't keep away. Threw the end they finally see at they care about each other more then they both admit to them self. The plot is great to bc theat is hownjase and jade meet and how they can't keep each other from there mind. The plot is great bc I was guessing who did it and I just couldnt stop reading till I find out who did it. But when I got to the middle or mid middle of the book I knew whonit was doing the killing and y he was doing it but I still had to make sure. But I love this book and I'm glad I try the new books and I can't wait to branch out to this kind of books.

Callahan's isn't a strip club. Nor an escort service. it's an upscale gentleman's club where men come to enjoy the company of beautiful women. But recently Callahan's proprietor, Jade Devereaux, has been hearing that all of her employees might not be sticking to their proper guidelines and that would be a big problem.

After a wealthy man is found murdered outside of Callahan's Jase Vaughn has to started investigating not only the club but Jade herself.

As soon as Jase sees Jade he wants her. But the more he finds out about the beauty the more he begins to think she had something to do with a string of murders that are all connected to Callahan's so he starts inserting himself more and more into her life.

Jade has a painful past and plenty of secrets she doesn't want anyone finding out. To say her life has been a rags to riches saga would be an understatement. Even though Jase is investigating her and her club there is something about him that makes Jade feel safe. For the first time in what seems like a long time she thinks she has someone she can trust.

As the passion between Jase and Jade grows so do the deceits, murders, and doubts.

Jade and Jase have a lot of passion and chemistry as soon as they meet, but it's hard to tell what is real and what are lies because there are so many secrets being kept between the two of them. At points I would get angry when they would each believe something someone else said, with nothing to back it up, over each other.

And then there were the moments that it felt like no matter how much Jase cared for Jade he wanted her arrested. It was odd during those points.

I really liked the book, especially the reveal of who the real killer is. That was a complete and utter shock and it was so well done that I had no idea what so ever!

Now I'm getting very confused. I once again read a book in a genre I wasn't expecting. I could have sworn this author was into the kinky books I read. Obviously, I'm just not picking up the correct titles. That being said, this book was fun. I think this rating should be more a 3.5 only because I felt something for Jade Deveraux. Jase, I probably could have done without. He's a self-righteous misogynist. The reasons for his hatred, lack of trust for women are nothing compared to Jade's sufferings at the hands of men. Jase is one hero I have no love. I'd tell Jade, there are better men in the world.

Jade is the one running the exclusive gentleman's club. The club has changed hands to a new owner who isn't as good as the previous. She's also the one female most of the men want and while she will provide them with dinner and conversation, she will not have sex with them. Basically, she's a bloody cock tease and the men can't take it anymore. Honestly, I can't say that I blame them. The suspense part of the romance is when Jade's clients start dying in gruesome ways. While Ms. Tabke did her best to throw suspicious with many different suspects, I still figured it out before the reveal. I think Ms. Tabke did a good job in her storyline. I also enjoyed how she showcased the misconceptions of call girls and escorts. I particularly liked how hateful she shows men can be towards women. I find this extremely realistic and a sad commentary about our society. Her portrayal of pedophiles, battered wives, children and women forced into prostitution was dead on. Depressing and something it appears most "civilized" people pretend doesn't exist.

All in all, I think this is a story for women who enjoy a bit of mystery and suspense with their romance.

Jaded follows Jade Devereaux and Jase Vaughn. Jade runs a gentleman's club while Jase is a cop. When a murder happens near Jade's club, she becomes Jase's prime suspect. With time running out, Jade has to prove her innocence to Jase before she is convicted of a murder she didn't commit..or did she?

A lot of the feelings I had about the 2nd book in this series, I had about this book too. I really enjoyed it like the last one, however just not as much as the last. One thing that bothered me was that Jase knew about what had happened with Frankie and Reese in the last book, and even admitted such at one part in the story, but yet he was still very cynical about the possibility of Jade being innocent, and things. This story sealed my belief once again, that this series is a must read if you are looking for steamy romance, hot cops, and a well written story. I can't wait to read more of this series and definately look forward to reading more of Karin Tabke's work in the near future.

In previous books I sort of liked Jase, but not with this one. We find out more of his past and it turns out the only thing he thinks women are good for is sex. And since Jade is a walking man's wet dream, you would think they are a match made in heaven. However every man in Jade's life has used her and so badly that she has pulled away from getting close. Which is funny when you consider that she is a hostess/manager at a gentleman's club, where her her main job is basically as a cock tease. Oh, and did I mention that Jase is a cop and Jade is his main suspect for murder?

This story would have been better is both of the characters would have been more likable. Instead they detest each other for most of the book, and even when they start to feel something else it isn't believable.

Hot Cops #3
This last installment focuses on Jase Vaughn who is no longer under cover with Ty. Jase now is just PD. He's working a murder case at Callahan's, an exclusive gentlemen's club. That is where he meets Jade Devereaux, the very sexy club manager. He is attracted to her immediately, but unfortunately, she is the #1 suspect! This last installment is worth reading, but for me, not as well done as the first and second books. However, I dare you to not enjoy this. It is still a keeper!

I absolutely adore this book! While there are erotica scenes, they add so much to the plot - unlike other books that only have them so they can be considered erotica. For such a short book, Jade is an incredibly 3 dimensional, and you can see how her past traumas play into her current predicament. You can really see her wrestling with impossible choices. Just an absolutely stellar novel that will always have a place on my shelf.

Maybe I just didn't read this book with the correct mindset. After reading the first two and liking them, I expected to like this book as well. However, it fell very short for me, so much so that I couldn't even finish it. I just felt as if it got very boring, and dull, and I just couldn't deal with that anymore.
