After years of slumber, Tyler Talbot wakes to find himself alone in a world that has changed – a world that has revived beyond his people's wildest dreams. Unable to believe he is the last human standing, he goes in search of other survivors, but what he finds is not quite what he expected.

Hazen’Ba, a Sinait warrior, thought he had enough on his plate already when he finds Tyler roaming the forests. The stranger looks like a being from old stories, stories he has not believed since he was a young child. Wanting to know more about this man, he takes him under his wing and tries to protect him from the suspicion and fear of his kin.

With more than a language barrier standing in their way, can Tyler avoid the suspicions of the survivors? And will Hazen’Ba side with his own kind in the end?

Great story. Sci-fi with a post apocalyptic theme that gives it a bit of a fantasy feeling too. (hopefully that made as much sense out loud as it did in my head)

Wonderful main characters and some great side characters. I really liked the way Hazen'Ba was portrayed and the flip sides of his standing in the community. A great warrior, so respected, but injured, so brushed to the side.

I don’t often read other world adventure stories, but this one promised a simple plot and not too many characters.
I was drawn into the world a young Tyler Talbot discovered when he awake from a who knows how long sleep among other pods containing people in a wrecked bunker. All the others are dead and Tyler goes outside to a jungle world that he thinks is his own but used to contain cities. He wanders and is found by an inhabitant, Hazen, who is from a civilization that has no technology other than a new use of gas for heating water in old fashioned bathrooms, but in most ways is a medieval society. Their world is called Sinait.
Tyler does not know Hazen’s language, but trusts him and stays in the fortified building with these people led by a king. Tyler has a kind tutor and in the few months that he is there is learning Hazen’s language. They fall in lust and probably love as they both care for each other’s comfort and safety. The mild heat was very good between this age gap couple.
The story is simple and at the end I realized it is probably a prequel to the further adventures of Tyler and Hazen as they are banished from the little kingdom as Tyler has long been thought of as some kind of blond haired, blue eyed demon from tales of a vanished people.
Hazen helps to repel an attack from outside invaders and still gets no respect and his friend the king reluctantly sends him away.
The story ends with Tyler and Hazen taking refuge in the bunker and giving each other love.
I thought I recognized the author’s name as I have previously read another semi fantasy story by them, which I enjoyed.
I like their writing style, it is clear and with good word choices and descriptions of the characters.
I read this at Prolific Works.

I like general idea of the story. Surviving a nuclear catastrophe in a bunker using cryo sleeping pods and waking way later than planed to discover earth and human civilization reinvented itself-or rather history repeated itself, but it is the Age of Discovery again. Kings rule with their knights and swords. It's a lot to handle on your own, even if you find help that does not speak the same language.

The story line has so much potential but most is not followed up. The downfall of humanity is not explained, the now current history or the rules of the new society are not really explained. There is a lot of world building so it's not for the lack of skill or imagination of the author. Also the romance is a bit shallow, which is natural with the language barrier but the sex seem like stuffed into the story (like must have sex scene here-so it is romance). I would have liked it better with the sex more off page, and going deeper into the sci-fi/fantasy aspects than into romance aspects of the story. It feels like a short story. To tell this story it should have been a novella or even novel.

Being not a native English speaker myself, I'm not quite sure can judge this but to me some of the sentences and descriptions felt wrong. I cannot pinpoint what exactly, more like a native English speaker would not use some the expressions. Some editing in that regard might be good.

Interesting read. This is technically a M/M romance; however, the romance is not fully developed and consists more of sex than romance. The most interesting aspect of this book’s storyline is that it takes place many hundreds of years in the future after some major catastrophe (nuclear war is implied) destroys the earth. Tyler awakens from cryogenic sleep to a world that is more reminiscent of 17th century earth with kingdoms and knights and superstitions galour. And it was a lack of enlightenment that made the story less enjoyable for me. Hazen saved Tyler in the jungle but an attack on Tyler later on leaves a man dead and anothe injured and Tyler and Hazen have to flee. Hazen returns in time to save his Rei (king) and people from an attack. And even though Hazen had shown nothing but loyalty throughout everything, he is still banished if he wants to stay with Tyler (which he does). The book ends on a HFN with a clear set up for a series, which does not appear to be in the works.

Technically a SF but much more like a fantasy in tone, this M/M short, the first episode in a yet to be published series (episode number 1,5 exists but it is extremely short and deals with two side characters), is enjoyable but it could have been much, much more than just enjoyable if the author had taken the time to develop the non romantic parts of the story.
What is absurd is that she actually has a knack for creating interesting stuations and she does not lack the technical tools to describe them in detail, but she skips most of them, apparently uninterested. This is two times bad because the attraction between the leads falls out of the sky with no real development and the sex scenes are far from good: this way the overt preference for the romance side backfires in a most apparent way.

HEA
Third person POV
Sci-fi. Dystopian. Futuristic.
Age gap. No cheating. Language barriers.
🌶🌶 2/5 for heat. Description are ok, there is definitely feelings involved.
Tyler wakes up from his pod in a bunker to find the world is a totally different place then when he was asleep. He lost all his people, the world is overgrown but so new and different, and then he goes out to see the new world and runs upon a man with a sword who speaks a different language. Hazen'ba is a retired warrior and is instantly enraptured with Tyler and his odd language and looks. Tyler looks like a demon from old wives tales and Haze's people don't rightly like Tyler, whom looks like demon and has some weird technology.
Haze protects Tyler, yet Tyler ends up having to protect Haze from his own people.
God, I wanted more of this world. And more of Tyler and his 'Honey' Haze.
Kind of abrupt ending but they are happy together and so am I.

Crazy intense!!!😍😍🤔

Intensely fierce! I enjoyed delving into this suspenseful mystery! I mean, how would you feel if you awoke the sole survivor in a time far flung? And then finding yourself thrown at into a strange land...but not?! Tense and dangerous. Tyler and Hazen steam up your kindle nicely!😏 I highly recommend adding this book to your library!😘 Very fun!

Sinait was a wonderful story.
It's a sweet romance with two characters that I really liked. The dynamics between them is great. I also liked the side characters a lot.
The setting, in this green technology-free future was really interesting too.
I had a great reading experience overall :)

Loved this book. Though it moved a bit fast. More background for the main characters would have been awesome. But, will around looking for the next book. Will also check on other books from this author.

Rounded up to 3 1/2 stars. I would have liked to see what happened after Hazen returned to Tyler. I also think he should have taken a horse for Tyler. That's the least the Rei could have done for his old friend.

All in all, it was a pretty good story.

In an underground bunker, Taylor has survived a nuclear incident. When he wakes up from his cryosleep nothing is as it's supposed to be.
A nice romantic story. Though nothing special, I enjoyed it.
