He tells me he's a beast because of the size of his ego. And he'd like to show me just how big it is.

Mallory

I came to Europe to go to graduate school--not to have a one night stand with an arrogant, rude, royal beast.

But when I run into Matthias Albring in Amsterdam, he says he'll show me everything the city has to offer... including just how big a beast he is.

It was all supposed to be fun. The train ride to Brussels, the toy shop, the lingerie, and the nights where Matthias pushed me to my limits.

But his family wants him in an arranged marriage, and Matthias isn't the type to settle down.

So I'm gone.

Off to Paris, grad school... and a positive pregnancy test?

Matthias

My life revolves around three things--drinking, gambling, and taking home tourist girls at the end of the night.

When I meet Mal, she's uptight, repressed, distant--and my next target.

And when I finally get her in my bed, I make her mine.

It turns out she's nothing like the royal ladies and princesses my parents would like me to marry.

She's gorgeous, fierce, and wild--—and unlike any woman I've met before, until she leaves without saying goodbye.

I know she's somewhere in Europe, but she's deleted her number from my phone.

I'm determined to find her. And when I do, I'll show her she's mine.

Forever.

Lexi Whitlow is a small-town girl with big dreams. She spent her early years growing up between Virginia and North Carolina, playing in the dark rich dirt of Eastern North Carolina at her granddaddy's farm. She's a Southern as can be, and she spends her days chasing her five-year-old and her puggle (that's a pug-beagle hybrid, folks) and writing her ass off.

She holds a master's degree in English literature, and her mom is so proud she's "using her degree."

Lexi harbors a not-so-secret love for bad boys. She loves fighters, tough-as-nails cowboys, bikers, and criminals. Her husband is a scientist... but he has the heart of a bad boy for sure. She spends what little free time she has crocheting, painting, and going on long walks with her family.

I have read a few books by Lexi Whitlow and I like her writing. She is a very good author and one you should keep an eye out for. If you love Bad Boys and hot steamy love scenes, then you should read her book “Royal Beast.” The story line is fantastic and the character’s pop right into place even the secondary characters work like magic. She grabs you at the beginning of the book and holds your attention till the end of the book. This book is steamy and hot and you have a royal bad boy, a fiery heroine, meddlesome royal parents, and lots of turmoil to keep you on your toes. A book that I recommend you read.

Matthias Albring is a royal bad boy who is considered to be arrogant, rude, and a beast. He lives away from his family because he doesn’t want them telling him how to live his life. He does pretty good at keeping himself hidden for most of the year. He chases tourist girls to take home, he drinks heavily, and he gambles. He had no idea what he was getting into when he by chance meets Mallory walking the streets very late one night. After a brief conversation with her and she leaves he decides that Mallory will be his next target. Only he had no idea what he was getting himself into by chasing after her. Once he gets her into his bed he then decides that she is worth more to him than a one-night stand. He really finds himself caring about her. Then of course the family interferes and Mallory leaves him without a word, and nor does she tell him where she is going. She even wipes her phone number from his phone because she didn’t want to take any chance he would find her. Will Matthias find her and convince her that they are meant to be together? Will Matthias and Mallory find their happy ever after? Or will his family win?

Mallory is in Europe to attend graduate school. Nothing in her agenda included a one night stand with a royal beast who is so full of himself. Mallory is in Amsterdam when she meets Matthias Albring while she is walking the city waiting for the time she can get into her apartment. Mallory wasn’t sure about him and yet he pursues her telling her he would show her the city. Oh, and he offered to show her just how big of a beast he is. What was supposed to be fun; the train ride to Brussels, the toy shop, and the nights that she let him push her to her limits. But all that ends when is family interferes and wants him to agree to an arranged marriage, but Matthias doesn’t want to settle down. So Mallory leave without leaving anything to let him know where she was going. She decides it is time to head to Paris to start graduate school…. oh and she didn’t tell him she was pregnant either. Will she be able to do this alone? Or will she give in and let Matthias know about the baby?

No Spoilers. ARC copy received.

This was your pretty standard fare--bad boy inexplicably falls for an ordinary girl. Throw in that he's royalty with obligations, and she's got some drama of her own with the recent loss of her sister, trying to get into graduate school, and growing up in a religious household with an overbearing single mother, and this had potential.

Matthias' family is old-school. He's expected to agree to an arranged marriage and provide an heir ASAP, especially since his father is ill and he'll be taking over the throne sooner rather than later. The problem is that he has zero desire to rule, and has even less interest in shacking up with whatever princess his parents have deemed compatible for him based on her fertility.

Of course when he meets Mallory there's that *special* spark. I don't take issue with insta-love since I know what I'm getting into when I download books like this, and their relationship was actually quite believable the way it panned out. Hot and steamy at times, sweet and slow at others, I was actually enjoying it until Matthias' sister was introduced.

I didn't take issue with the sister's character. I took issue with the fact that first her name was Celeste and she was about to turn 19. Then later, she was Adelaide who had just turned 18. Then she was just about to turn 19 again. Seems like things went downhill after that.

Mallory's pregnancy explanation was stupid. She says that she was on birth control. Her explanation as to how she got pregnant was that she forgot to renew her birth control AFTER her time with Matthias. Umm, that's not how it works. Then there was the ultrasound.
"You said you had an ultrasound. Did you keep any pictures?"
"I didn't. I didn't have anyone here who would care."
<--Umm, said no woman ever.

There were other stupid, inexplicable decisions that the heroine made, and I just kept shaking my head, thinking nobody would do that. It was beyond frustrating.

Sometimes you read books that make you think, make you fall in love with characters so you laugh and cry with them. But sometimes there are books that doesn't make you feel anything special. You just read it and that is that. Sadly, this one is the latter. The plot sounded interesting but the story wasn't anything special.
I felt like there were no drama, everything solved quickly and at 47 % on Kindle it already ended (though it contains two books but I just didn't feel like reading the other one).

I received this for my honest review. Matthias is a privileged bad boy royal his life is women, drinking, gambling and fighting. Mallory is travelling Europe before starting graduate school but is depressed and alone after her sister Kim passed away leaving her money to go on the fun trip. One day of sight seeing with Matthias turns into more, he takes her out of her comfort zone and they enjoy their time together even if it isn't meant to last. Matthias has a future planned for him that he never wanted and hasn't been honest about who he is and what that means. With out doing spoilers this is a story with twists and turns with the plot not what you imagine it to be, a very good read.

I received this for a honest review. This was an interesting story. How many of us at a young age dreamed of finding our prince. Well that is what happen to Mallory.

Mallory had suffered so much pain. She had pretty much lost the only family that she was close to which was her sister. Her sister had died at such a young age but has insured that the money that she had inquired had gone to Mallory. Se wanted Mallory to live her dreams. Not to settle but live her life fully. So that is what Mallory was doing. She was planning on going to one of the art schools in Europe. She had plan living the life her sister wanted for her.

Matthias was running from his family and what they wanted him to do. Though some might think being rich and royalty would have its perks they did not know the obligations that went with it. His mother wanted to force him into an arranged marriage. His mother had what she thought would be the perfect marriage for her son. She wanted him to marry a virgin, a woman that was fertile, and one that would allow her son to live his wild life. Mathias did not want to get married and have kids. He wanted to stay single, drink, gamble, and have all the women his heart desired.

I loved how Matthias world stopped spinning the moment he saw Mallory. She was like an angle walking in the night. Her beauty took his breathe away. There was just something special about her. I think he also loved the fact that she did not know who he was and he wanted to keep it that way. It as just suppose to be a fling but a fling was not going to be enough for Matthias. He did not know how he was going to work things out but he so wanted to be with Mallory. He also wanted to make sure his family did not hurt her. He knew his family would not like the idea for him with such a common girl.

This will get very complicated for Matthias and Mallory. It seems like the punches just keep coming for these two but I can assure you love will find a way. The one thing about Matthias and Mallory is they will discover that the things they thought they did not want they want more then anything. This was such a good story and so glad I got a chance to read it.

Matthias is running away from a future he's never wanted. He gambles, picks up inappropriate women, all in aims to get his family off his back, so much so he hasn't even been home in five years. After been hit and kicked out of his latest gambling establishment, he sees a woman that looks out of place, but he is drawn to her because of it. A weird feeling he's never had passed through him at their meeting. Mallory is aimlessly wandering through life, keeping the promise she made to her sister before she died. When she meets Matthias, his words seem too good to be true, and despite her sisters voice in her head, she walks away. Fate has other plans and they end up spending the last week of her holiday together, seeing the sights, and Matthias enjoying watching how much he can make her blush. During this time Matthias has kept his family secret, so despite how much she's grown to care, she deletes her number from his phone.
Soon both their lives change in ways neither wanted. Luckily Adelaide, Matthias's little sister, intercepts the only communication there is and passes it to her brother. Adelaide also has something to gain from Matthias running away. The love they share will help them survive all the twists the turns that are coming at them like a deadly storm.
I really enjoyed this book. A sweet romance with a twist that was beautiful to see, and a line that I loved about how far we've come that 'age is the only concern'. A great story of acceptance, and love concurring all.

I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Matthias is an overprivileged, bad boy royal. His pastimes include women, drinking, gambling, fighting, and women. After Matthias gets thrown out of a local bar, he meets Mallory. Beautiful and American. A tourist visiting, what he considers, his home town of Amsterdam. Mallory is depressed and alone. Her sister Kim passed away and she decided to travel to Europe before beginning graduate school. Her sister left her money for a fun trip to Europe. She's not having a lot of fun. She misses her sister; Kim was all she had. Maybe a chance meeting with Matthias will change that. One day of sight seeing with Matthias turns into more. He manages to take Mallory out of her comfort zone and they have some fun. But is fun all this really is, or could it possibly lead to more? Matthias has a future planned for him that he is not happy about. Matthias hasn't been honest about who he is and what that means. Complications arise and Matthias is forced to come clean to Mallory. When she learns the truth, will she be able to forgive him? Will Mallory's future be with him or without him? Or will Matthias do his duty and forget Mallory?

Sensual, suspenseful read – leave time to finish in one sitting!!

We meet Mallory – spending a few months in Europe in memory of, and at the insistence of her sister Kim, 10 years older and now dead at the young age of 33. Kim was a lawyer, and left her money to Mallory with instructions to live a little. Mallory spends most of her time alone, visiting museums and only has 2 weeks until she is to begin design school.

Matthias has no interest in his family’s expectations of him – rather spends his time between gambling and photography. He also plies his wiles on unsuspecting female tourists. When he sees Mallory walking all night waiting for her next rental to become available he makes his move, but is shot down. The sparks were there for both of them, and when they run into each other again the seduction begins.

The backgrounds of both these characters are well presented and we feel for each of them. When Matthias had to work much harder than normal, and cares more than ever for Mallory we are presented with a sensual awakening and relationship. When Mallory literally disappears, and a threat comes from those after Matthias – the suspense builds and we begin to realize these two may never find each other again.

A Prince hiding from his responsibilities and family in Amsterdam and an American woman exploring Europe after the loss of her only real family cross paths and change their futures in unexpected ways. Matthias knows his family, his mom, want him to take the thrown of the North Islands along with getting married and having an heir, but he is happy with his playboy ways, photography and gambling. Mallory is exploring Europe, her latest stop Amsterdam, after loosing her sister and before graduate school somewhere in Europe. The night their paths cross find Matthias on the loosing end of a fight and Mallory wandering the streets before checking in to where she is staying. What follows next is a whirlwind that finds them in Brussels, him trying to hide from his family's reach, and falling for each other, even though they want to deny it. At the end of their week together they go their separate ways thinking they will never see the other again. But life has other plans for them and for the country Matthias is supposed to one day soon rule. I love that these two beat the odds, overcome their fears, overcome his family and change the paths their lives would have taken alone, in order to get their happy ending. I was given an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed reading this book because it is not the typical secret royal family/secret pregnancy story. Mallory goes to Europe for a mini vacation before she starts graduate school. She goes by herself because she is still reeling with the death of her sister Kim. While in Amsterdam, she meets Matthias, a cocky playboy outside of a bar. Matthias loves picking up tourists, especially Americans, for his one night stands. When he sees Mallory, he views her as no different than the others. However, when she proves not to be as easy as he thought, he decides there is more to her than what meets the eye. Mallory knows he has a secret life, but what she thinks is the secret is far from the truth. Because she is thinking the worse, she decides that once she starts graduate school, she can never see Matthias again. He is crushed when he discovers she has erased herself from his phone and he has no idea where to find her. Feeling trapped by his parent and family obligations, he is more determined than ever to get away and to try to have a life with Mallory. With the help of his sister, he receives some unexpected news which only makes him more determined to be with her forever. How everything was resolved was a nice little twist

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review! I loved this book so much!! From the beginning of the book I was hooked even though it was a new category for me with it being about a royal person. I loved that he took her to a sex shop literally right after they met. I seriously would've died of embarrassment. I also loved that she put that little peanut butter tidbit in there! I am a lover of peanut butter, I couldn't imagine being in a world without it. About the book: I loved that they were acting as a "couple" right from the start and I was so sad when Matthias had to leave! I was afraid there story wouldn't develop much beyond that but than other things happened to change that! I was glad that Matthias went with his heart and did the right thing for Mal and the baby even if it went against his parents wishes. Same goes for Mal and being with Matthias despite his ties to royalty! I look foward to reading more steamy stuff by this author even if it doesn't include more Matthias, Mallory and baby Roman.

Matthias is hiding in plane sight from a royal family and responsibilities he does not want. His mom wants him to marry someone from approved family to carry on the family name. He does not want anything to do with it. Mallory is traveling Europe on the request of her deceased sister, the only family she really had. This two cross paths by chance, Mallory is a little leery and Matthias sets out to conquer. This is to people seeking opposite things yet the same. I like that it was written from both points of view, this fills in things you might not know had it been written from one point of view. I loved both characters Mallory is smart, sassy and independent. Matthias is arrogant, cocky and privileged. They agreeing to a brief sexual relationship no strings attached. Yet they both know there is more to this than they thought. There is suspense, laughs and great sex. In my opinion it is a great story and journey for both characters. In my opinion I believe it is worth reading.

Received an ARC for a honest review.

This my first time reading a book from this author. Well let me tell you it was an amazing book.

Matthias is a sexy, cocky Prince of North Islands. The only thing is he doesn't want anything to do with his legacy. He's been in hiding from his parents trying to avoid the arrange marriage they so want him to have to be King once his father dies. Matthias doesn't want that life. While having his one night stands he encounters a sexy American.

Mallory is a very smart sexy fashion student on vacation in Amsterdam before going to graduate school. Her time in Amsterdam was a lonely one until she meet the sexy Matthias.

In their journey together they realized how much they enjoyed each other's company. As they continue their journey they run in to some family issue on Matthias side. Will they be able to be together?

When I started reading this book, I thought it would just be another bad boy knocks up girl, etc. Man was I wrong!!

This book turned it to be one of the best books I've read lately. Matthias--the man who would be king upon his father's passing--was hiding behind some pretty creepy bad behavior when he met Mallory, the American tourist. Mal ends up pregnant; Matthias is hiding out from an arranged marriage; and his sister is a lesbian. The monarchy will never be the same!

I urge you to read this book. It made me laugh/cry/and breathe a sigh of relief when the baby comes. This is a well written book with a HEA that does your heart good.

Interesting story, Mallory is on the trip that her sister told her to take which will end at her picking a design school. Matthias is to take over the throne after his father dies but Matthias doesn't want anything to being king or with his family. When he meets mallory he knows there is something about her that will change the way he feels about love. These two together are pulled into love and drama, When she is set to leave for school Matthias knows he will let her go but he doesn't want to. When they are thrown back together it must be love but their are people other there trying to keep them away.

He is your kind of typical spoiled royal who falls for her unexpectedly and has to work to win her. It is not a new storyline but one that is well done and one I have enjoyed over the years.

In celebration of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex I decided to honor them with a royalty read in hopes that there marriage will indeed more dirty and fun than anything.

Mallory heads to Amsterdam after losing her sister to MS, after a well deserved vacation, she will head to design school. She meets Matthias. And without exchanging pasts they embark on a vacation she will not forget.

I enjoyed the book but the ending disappointed me. I was more surprised that Matthias didn't have guardsmen and such.

Favorite quote from the book... when Matthias wants to take Mallory to a novelty toy shop.

“Have you ever used anything to enhance…. mmm.” He pauses as if searching for the right words, then takes another picture of me standing there in the middle of the street. “Nighttime activities?” “No—I—” I gulp. “I never needed to.” “No one needs to. We all have hands.” He holds his fingers up as if to demonstrate, and for some reason, I turn uncomfortably hot. “But these things are made to make life a little more fun and interesting. Don’t you think that life can be a little more fun and interesting? Or did you come to Europe just to be depressed?

All those fun things in the bag and he chooses a vibrator? Smh. Still I give it fours stars of entertainment!

I liked this book, however, there were a few things that annoyed me I understood the place Mathias was coming from his parents were messed up and I liked that he fell in love as a character I liked him think they should have handled his role in the kingdom differently. I did not really like Mallory she was pretty stuck in what was wrong in her life and I thought she was to all about me when it came to her relationship with Mathias. I would have liked her to women up and help make something good of Mathias birthright I just could not like her. The supporting characters were fun I thought the sister's relationship with the original bride to be was a nice twist but overall this booked lacked for me maybe if they would have had more time with him being king and Mallory supporting him instead of all this I don't want this life crap I would have enjoyed it more. It was a fine book just not as good as it could have been and that was surprising because I love most of her books that I have read this one just needed a better plot line.

Indifferenza. e noia .
2 Il triangolo No!
