I have been an avid reader for longer than I can remember, desiring the darker, edgier works of Bram Stoker, Stephen King, Dean Koontz. I first started writing in High School giving that away when my first attempt was nothing more than dribble. I wish now that I kept at it, pursued it with a hunger that I currently possess.

Writing is my passion, it is what fuels the fires inside of me and it is an all-or-nothing furnace that keeps me up at all hours.

I am married to a wonderful supportive husband, I have 2 wonderful kids and the best friends that I have waited some 35 odd years to meet.

This was an excellent book and I'll get to why I didn't give it 5 stars. I adored the love between Kol and Nova, it was beautiful. He was completely committed to her regardless of anything. I really liked these two characters, I could see people/vampires, thinking and acting like they did. Nova ends up being quite different with a peculiar need. A need they decided to keep from everyone in fear of how it would be received. I was disappointed at the end. I didn't care for how the book ended, I feel left with questions.

OMG !! I never start my reviews off that way, but in this case it doesn't do it justice !! You must read Bitten, the first book of Kol and Nova to get the most out of this book, but once you do, this book takes you on the vampire of vampire rides !! It throws out everything you think you know about vampires and turns it upside down !! I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this book !! If you like vampire books with a bite and a few twists , this book is for you !! 5☆'s. My only complaint is it isn't long enough and has a small cliffhanger that I'm hoping is addressed in the next book. I received a gifted copy in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.

Kol could not let the love if his life die at the hands of the Holland brothers. He did the only thing he could to save her, he changed her, Nova is now a vampire but she is different.

Kol will do everything in his power to protect Nova, but at what cost? With the Holland brothers dead, someone has to take over their territory.....

This one surprised me; I thought Kol and Nova's story was complete when he changed her at the end of Taken. However, the story continues and I cannot wait to see where it goes next! Impatiently waiting....

OMG so much is going on and at times I got a bit confused. (But I was also being distracted by my 4 year old) Kol has to take over the Holland Clan, and it's not something he wants...Nova is different. Is she gifted or cursed? Pretty sure only time will tell. Can't wait to find out where the future takes these two.

This book was just fantastic I didn't realize when I reviewed Bitten which was book one there was a book two Taken and then a book three Resurrection. These were fantastic book I couldn't believe it if I had known when I was writing the review for book one that there was a book 2 in the book 3 I would have went to have it but I didn't look and I just want it wasn't there but then if you read book to you realize what the hell's going on and then you've got but three and then you have a cliffhanger on book three and that's I'm looking for book for where is book 4? A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.

OMG, I love this Blood Courtesan series and I especially love the mystery and suspense following Nova.

This part takes us into very surprising occurences, why is Nova acting the way she is during her awakening? She is not having a normal vampire awakening at all and her Mom that just passed away has some advise for her daughter that she doesn't quite understand, but holds the clue.

Kol can't wrap his head around what's going on with Nova, has he created a monster? That doesn't matter to him, he loves her and will protect her even from his maker Rurik if he has to.. In all the long life he's had, he has never loved like he does Nova, he will figure something out, what he doesn't know, but he will.

Is Nova something unheard of, or is she mearly a God send?

This series is fabulous, I can't wait to read on...

WOW!!! Loved thee three books it was great to follow Nova and Kol through there hard times and Nova's transition it was a twist you never expected but a great one all the same when her secret finally comes out be warned you have got to read Bitten first to get the full effect of these three books. Because once you start you will not put them down till you finish all three they are totally addictive.

Wow I feel unfulfilled and frustrated. It felt rushed and like they are not resolving anything at the end. The three books could have been merged into one for a more satisfying story. It needed more expansion and to slow down the pace. I felt like my eyes would skip over lines and have no idea what was going on. Also it finished 30% of the way through with the rest of the book being another story entirely. If you don't have enough to make a full book don't force 3 books.

Well written!

I just finished these 3 books in the Blood Courtesans series; I completely fell in love with Kol and Nova and their story! Loved it! The only thing I didn’t follow was the ending..... if someone could explain it to me would be great lol

Two good stories.

Resurrected is shorter than most of the ones in the series. Nova is a new vampire with an unusual and dangerous new power. Kol loves her and wants to protect her. Taurus is about a dragon shifter and a wolf shifter. It ends in a cliffhanger.

Great book abrupt end

This 3rd book in the 3 part story was a great read a little confusing in parts since I didn't know who's mind I were in or who was speaking at times. Without spoiling anything the ending was abrupt and left room

Nova chapter 3

I don’t like to give spoilers on the books that I read. I believe the blurb on the back is enough for you to decide if you will read the book or not. If you choose to read, enjoy!

Will not purchase anymore in this series. This "book" ended at 33%!! No answers to how or why Nova is different, just another abrupt ending.

Really short

This story stopped at a little over thirty percent and left you with a cliff hanger. If it wasn't because of how short it was I would have given it another star.

I loved the story, but, it wasn't long enough. I expected a whole book, not just a novella with another book attached. It was miss leading.

Would I die for him? Yes… But would I live for him? 5 BLOODY FANGS

We were alive in this moment—perfect without a heartbeat—just him and me. WOW! HOLY FANG! All I can say is - Like a Super Nova this series EXPLODES to life, turning night to day, light to dark, love to Immortal Ever After Love! WHEW! I AM COMPLETELY BLOWN AWAY!! Blown away by how FANTASTICAL this series is! I am REALLY love, Love, LOVING Nova & Kol's story!! So much so that I will do ANYTHING for more, or at the very least, more in this vein! It is truly one powerful story filled with Vampires, their abilities, the humans that fuel them, love them, want to be with them or even BE them! Personally, I am BEYOND satiated & thrilled to be Nova! Although I am jealous & envious that she has become a Vampire AND has Kol beside her, on top of her, under.. well you get the idea! wink I love the edge to the storytelling, the powerful bite that makes it so intensely shadowy dark, naughty and oh so VAMPIRELICIOUS kind of story! Who needs rainbows & sunshine when you can have a story & series like this one... when you can have - BE - Kol & Nova!! A story & series that doesn't just touch you, it reaches in, grabs & clenches your soul, holding it, almost lovingly cradling it in its fanged caress. I was caught in the path of the sun, swept away by pull of the star. I LOVE Kim's Vampires! They are unlike any other Vampires I have ever had the pleasure to meet, unlike any other Vampire I have ever loved, or unlike any other Vampire I have ever become! And with all of the Vampires that covers (I have been a lover of Vampires for decades!!), that is the single most highest compliment I could ever give! Kim's Vampires stand out because of their history, their laws & rules, their abilities and how those are obtained or achieved, their hierarchy, etc. But they also stand above the crowd because of how every single drop of blood has a purpose! A woman would be born with the gift of the sun, until she exchanged it for the night. Beyond a shadow of a doubt, Kim's astronomical talent burns just as bright as a super nova that NEVER dims or dulls, but keeps on growing more brilliant with each story! She has this STARTACULAR gift and ability to create these deeply enriched stories that have you sucked in, hanging on for dear life while enjoying this ride of epic proportions! Kim has me living these stories like it is MY story, like I AM Kol, like I AM Nova, finding the spark of life, loving the shadows, LOVING IT ALL! Well, at least until I reached those 2 little words I DETEST – The End. a dark night stole my sun.

Third book in a serial

I did not realize this was the third book in a serial. So when I started to read this book I felt like I had started to read the middle of a book, not the beginning. I was lost. Some kind of disaster had happened and Kol was forced to turn Nova. But I did not know what the disaster was about. After I finished the book I did some research and found out I had read book 1 and rated it 5 stars. Book 1 was a complete story, no cliffhanger. It was dark but very interesting. But I had not bought and read book 2. That really is the basis for my 4 star rating, coupled with the fact the ending of book 3 was somewhat open ended so the serial may be ongoing. I prefer to read whole books without cliffhangers or big unanswered questions. If you like serials this is a good one. The mystery behind Nova is fascinating. I am now hooked.

The second bonus book is excellent. I had previously read it and rated it 5 stars.

Nova has been saved from the Holland brothers by Kol but he had to change her to save her life, it soon becomes obvious that she is very different from any other Vampire and for the fist time in Kol's very long vampire life he feels fear, with Nova's unusual power and even more unusual needs just what is she ?
This storyline has taken a fascinating and incredible turn, i couldn't get enough and unfortunately it is very, very short (only 30% of the book) and leaves things unfinished. This book does come with an addition bonus dragon story that is good but to be honest that's the main story and the blood courtesan continuation is more the additional short, I'd rather have had more of Kol and Nova's story, it ended with too many unanswered questions.

In the last book Nova was taken by the Holland brothers. They are pure evil. Kol, Rurik kol's maker, and one of Kol's only friends Angeligue come to save her but Nova was hurt to badly. The only way for Kol to keep her was to turn her into a vampire. That's were thus story picks up. Nova is changed she is not human and the sun hurts her but she is not a normal vampire either. She blessed and yet cursed in a very amazing way.
This is an amazing story and a fantastic add to the ongoing story! It's romantic, dark and action packed! Really if your into vampires you need to try this series. It's one of the best I have read.
Voluntary review and I honestly loved it

Interesting Read

I am a little torn on this book on had to voice my thoughts. Love the storyline and hope there will be another one, but having trouble wrapping my mind around vampires that can't drink from other vampires. Not sure I have read another book that was that way.

Nova and Kol are going to have such struggle with this one, but I was glad to see Kol's maker was understanding given everything. This book does drag you in to see what happens to the group of friends and word of advice always confide ing your friends because they could be most understanding than you are giving them credit for.

Until Next Time... Tabi

Kol could not bare for Nova to die a victim of the Holland brothers and so he turned her into a Vampire like himself. However she is not a vampire like him at all - she was supposed to crave the blood of humans but in fact she is craving the blood of other vampires. Kol has told her to tell no one about this but she can see he is scared about what has happened.

This was a great story with some twists and turns. I can definitely see this needs a 4th book in the series. It was a bit short and the bonus dragon story was good but more Kol and Nova would have been better.

This is the third book in Nova's series and they really should be read in order to fully enjoy the story. I have loved Nova and Kol's story right from the start and will certainly follow it through to the end. In this installment Nova has become a vampire, but not just a normal vampire she only drinks from Kol...or other vampires. This one kept me reading straight through from start to finish and when I got to the cliffhanger at the end....well, I guess I will just have to get the next one as soon as it is available!

Wow, loved it. Kol is great and totally dedicated to Nova...come what may! This turn of events is mind blowing and really adds a whole new level to vampires and their powers and why they are alike but sometimes so very different. Nova is so devastated by the death of her Mom that that grief transforms her entry into the vampire world. Author comes up with a very unique vampire concept makes this a very interesting novella.

Cliffhanger????

I thought this was the end for Nova and Kol. NOT!!!!

Nova can't keep human blood down. She wants vampire blood and Kol has to keep this a secret. Nova has another gift that is unbelievable and Kol is can't even go to his maker, Rurik.

This is really a great twist and new take on a vampire story. Can't wait to see where the author is going to take this story of Nova.

Nova died and was changed by Kol, who could not bear to lose her. Her gifts are not similar to Kol's and seem strange. Nova and Kol embark to discover her new vampire gifts. Kol will protect her from anything, including other vampires. Kol is having problems because he wiped out the Holland line.

Nova is now newly turned by Kol but something about her is different and in a way it scares Kol and Nova because she craves vampire blood not human. Now they must find the answers as to why this is happening to her.

I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. This is part 3 of the series A Vampire Blood Courtesans Romance by the author.

Damn...

While I finished the second part of Nova it was almost as good as the first book was. There definitely was love and the "gift" if that's what you can call it threw me off. But you have to read this book to find out the rest of Nova and Kol's story. Love these Blood Courtesans books!

Enjoyed both books

Both enjoyable authors but the 2nd book by Michelle Fox was pure polished Fantasy. The author has such imagination and not detracting from Kim Faulks who has new insight on vampires. Believing it a perversion to feed off each other and her newby vampire can't drink human blood and can resurrect the dead

Fabulous series

I highly recommended this series. The Blood Courtesans series is a shared series by several authors but they work very well together. Some chare do carry over to other books.
