This is very good, easy to read box set of the first three novels in the Escanta series.the first book was free, I really liked it so I went and brought the box set. James runs a high tech security firm with his brother Deacon and close friends Samuel and Cami. He is hired to do security for Mak Ashwood, a prosecuting lawyer, James doesn't want to take the case as he feels it might be complicated, complicated in the fact that there's something about Mak he can't get out of his mind, he thinks about her all the time. He does eventually take on her case, and they are on the road to an ever changing case, with people hunting James for his past, and people hunting Mak for because of the case she is working on, or is it? I have thoroughly enjoyed this box set and have gone on to purchase the rest in the series, it's hard to put down.

You know when you read a book that is sooo good it completely captures you- sweeping you off your feet, consuming you in a way where reality is suspended and all you can think about is the story? A story that is so great you can’t stop at just one book- you need to hunt down the entire series to devour, because you’ve developed a serious addiction and need your next fix, STAT? Where you become so consumed by the addiction, you then proceed to stalk the author, and chasing down every book she’s ever written, caught in a one-clicking frenzy- only to end up on a book-binge of epic proportions, hoping like hell she’s got more books in the works because you’ll never tire of her stories- ever? Well Ms. Sivendra is one of those authors- her books are completely and irreversibly addictive. I should have a massive book-binging hangover, but I don’t! Because I loved every second of every mind-blowing minute I spent between her pages 😉. I really couldn’t get enough, and let’s face it at this stage I’d read her shopping list, just to get a ‘fix’ 😊
The James Thomas Series by Brooke Sivendra was a surprising find that showed up on my recommended book feed, and I was intrigued enough by the blurb to take a chance. I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT I DID!!! What a GEM!!! This romantic suspense was everything I thought it could be, and so much more! There was action, adventure, mystery, mob connections, courtroom drama, danger, threats, chemistry, passion, intrigue, suspense, secrets, obstacles, compromises, car chases, shoot outs, tension, and much more.
Makaela Ashwood (Mak) is a criminal prosecutor working on a high profile triple murder case involving the Mafia. Things take a dangerous turn and her life is threatened. She’s going to need professional help if she’s going to get out of this alive. Thomas Security is recommended to her when her security team drop the ball. Mak is quite intimidated by James Thomas, but at the same time he’s a puzzle she can’t help but want to solve. An insatiable curiosity was always going to be her downfall.
James Thomas is the enigmatic head of Thomas security. He’s got a complicated, painful past that has left him with quite a lot of baggage, as well as some specialized and very dangerous skills. He’s haunted by his past, left with demons that weigh heavily ion his soul. But he’s also got a price on his head, being hunted by powerful and savage enemies. But he’s got a few secrets up his sleeve, and they would be wise to never underestimate him. When lines blur, and his past begins to tangle in the life of his beautiful and distracting new client, Thomas is going to have to pull out all the stops if he’s going to keep her/them safe.
This is such a fantastic story. I am really having trouble finding the words to do this book/series the justice it deserves. The characters are beyond perfect. They are complex, fully realised individuals with their own unique personalities, quirks and flaws. They had me completely invested in them and the outcome of their story from word go. I was eagerly and quite anxiously following along as the story unfolded. I spent a lot of the time on the edge of my seat, my heart pounding through all the adrenaline inducing action and jaw dropping revelations. Completely riveted by the story, I wouldn’t put it down and read it all in one sitting.
This is so well woven, with a massive amount of clever plotting and intricate layering. I am so impressed with Ms. Sivendra’s masterful storytelling talents. She may not realise it, yet 😉 but she’s just gained an avid stalker, um I mean fan, yes, an avid fan!
Highly recommended reading. Really, it’s a MUST READ, and should be on everybody’s TBR!!!

The best way to read this series. The first three books in the series ready to go with the last book, book five barely weeks away.

The James Thomas Series: Books 1-3 (The James Thomas Box Set) by Brooke Sivendra is a series that is absolutely brilliant. The best bit is that they are all in one place because you will be screaming to get to the next one.
Saratini (James Thomas #2) - Mak is fighting her way to the top as a young but tenacious lawyer. Her current trial is taking on the mob and along with that is enemies.
James Thomas is a man with many facets and a dangerous past that is also his future. When Mak's life is being threatened James' Security team finally steps in but as they learn Mak has more than one enemy but an enemy they do not know.
Trust me this is a book you want to read. Brooke has done a fantastic job weaving the suspense and keeps you wondering just what is around the corner. This would have to be the best book I have read this year.
Saratini (James Thomas #2) - is the excellent second instalment in the James Thomas Series which is a romance suspense story that is sooooooooo, so good. I read this series a long time ago but have just discovered I failed to leave reviews so have gone back and reread them and boy Brooke knows how to create an amazing story that has everything that you could ever want in a story to get completely lost in. There is nothing that I can fault with Brooke’s writing excellence, everything is just mind blowing with all the explosive action and adventure, danger and drama, intrigue at its finest and mystery. But that is not all! The plot is outstanding and there is so much chemistry and sultry passion with the characters, fast and furious car chases and bullets flying, secrets and violence and let’s not forget the evil crazies that inhabit the world and their mind games. The books continue on from each other, so you have to read them in order. If you don’t you are missing so much goodness. Brooke is a master as weaving all the multiple and intricate threads that pull this tale together. The characters extremely complex and absolutely spot on, they are my ultimate team and I am so invested in them that I keep thinking about them long after I have finished the story.
Mak Ashwood is a prosecutor who is trying the case of a life time who now finds herself in the spot life and in danger. Thomas Security is in charge of her case and things seem to be hotting up. She doesn’t know who or why they are after her and is finding it hard to live with all the restrictions now imposed upon her. Not only that she has to deal with the feelings the hot and sexy alpha male James Thomas brings out in her, but can she trust him with all the secrets he is keeping.
James Thomas is a dangerous man and has a lot of enemies, making it imperative that no one knows who he is and about his previous life. He trusts no one except for those he considers family. He knew taking on the case of one sassy and sexy lawyer would mean trouble for him but he just can’t stay away. He is trying to juggle his own problems whilst trying to keep her safe. The case is now finished but the problem but it seems to only escalate leaving him and his team running ragged and all over the world.
Brooke it the ultimate Mistress of this genre and the tension she built is palpable and popped off the pages the entire way from start to finish. Of course I couldn’t stop here I have moved straight on to the next book.

This is another rollercoaster ride that if you aren’t strapped in you will be battered and bruised by the time you finish the book. The secrets and deception, suspense and action, intrigue and thrills, danger and threats along with the car chases, the plotting and planning and bullets continue to fly as the evil and violence up their games to get their hands on the one thing the Team will not let them have. Brooke just keeps upping her game as a writer and I didn’t think she could get any better at what she does but she has once again proved me wrong. There are no bounds to her imagination and the James Thomas world she has created. With superb characters who are fully realised and yet complex, and the plots she manages to weave, her work is outstanding.
Mak is still on the enemy’s radar and things just keep going from bad to worse but the team will do nothing to try to put a stop to them. Mak knows she is being kept in the dark, so she sets out to try to see through the secrets.
James’s enemies are on the hunt and he finds himself in more dangerous situations, but he now has a reason to come back home each time he has to face off with them. Not only is he having to deal with the enemy, but he finds out he has to be even more aware of the sexy and sassy woman as she seeks to find the secrets he doesn’t want found.
I cannot say enough about Brookes work and if you don’t grab this series you are missing out on a true masterpiece! I am off to the next book now.

Betrayal and mystery.... and the "to be continued" at the end... wow, just wow!! Gotta get the next book!! Brooke Sivendra keeps you on the edge of your seat...and wanting more!

Escanta, Saratani, Sarquis...
The first three books in The James Thomas Series. These books are suspenseful, sexy, dangerous and action filled. I could not put my kindle down. Brilliantly written with plenty of WTF twists and turns. And the drama keeps on coming. A new author for me but oh so worthy. Brooke Sivendra I am a fan.

Amazing
This book series is the best I’ve read in a long time. It’s fast paced and attention grabbing! Absolutely amazing. I read the first three within 2 days! She should be proud of her work, her imagination is incredible!!!
