Enjoyed this well written, second, William Quest novel which is set in the slums and back alleys of Victorian London. Great descriptions of the era with a good mystery to boot. Always nice to admire the main character too. A little escape. You’ll like it!
Really like the characters and the relationships between the different adversaries, The Monkshood, The Police and the Villians. Great characters and looking forward to the next Quest quest

Another epic adventure for William Quest and another exhilarating journey for the reader. Bainbridge is a storyteller of the highest class, and he kept me hooked from beginning to end. Even if you read no other books in 2018, you MUST read this. Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant.
