Point and Shoot for Your life by Robin Murphy is a tale of mystery and suspense. Hannah Mills, local photographer, is struggling for work and to pay her rent. Great-Aunt Dorothy comes to the rescue from beyond the grave after she leaves Hannah a First Phase Indian Chief Navajo blanket, a very rare item worth at least a million dollars. That kind of money would set Hannah up for life. But, before she can take it to auction, her niece is kidnapped and a ransom demanded – the blanket. Hannah has to go to France to get her niece back, but she has no money to get there until she robs a bank. Arrested for the crime as she makes the drop in Paris, Hannah isn’t going quietly and she drags FBI agent Finn MacNally along with her for the ride. Can they find Mandy before it’s too late? Can they really win a fight against the biggest Russian human and drug trafficking ring or will their luck run out at the last minute?

Point and Shoot for Your Life by Robin Murphy is a funny book. A mixture of humor, murder, mystery, suspense and romance, it has all the ingredients of a rollicking good read and it delivered all it promised. I found myself laughing, cringing, and holding my breath at different points during the story as I hung on for the ride. This is a book with no let-up; it starts on a high and just keeps on going, action all the way. The plot was very clever, brilliantly written, and the characters really fitted the bill. This is a story that will leave you breathless and, by the time the end arrives, worn out and ready to let go. Really great story, well-written and good fun to read. Would love to see more of this.

A loser or national heroine?

A great plot that has most things - an abduction, a bank robbery, the FBI, drug ring, a human trafficking ring and a gift from a deceased relative.
She has been scraping a living (well with the help of loans from her family) for years when she is sent a parcel - an inheritance from a deceased aunt. The gift, once she has it appraised, is a rare Indian baby blanket that could be worth over a million. This should sort out all her problems? Not so, her niece it kidnapped and the ransom is the blanket plus it has to be done in France. With no money and desperate, she robs the local bank. Catches the first plane she can to Paris. However when they get the blanket they don't release her niece and the FBI show up to arrest her. The only saving grace that as a photographer she has taken pictures not only of the vehicles but also the men used to get the blanket. A merger is formed and she and the handsome FBI agent work together. Can they get to her niece before she is harmed or sold? Can they bring down the kingpin? What will happen to her once she gets back to the States? Will she get her blanket back? Will she and the FBI merge for real?

Point and Shoot for Your Life was a good quick read by Robin Murphy. Hannah is a local photographer who has been struggling to find work and pay her bills. Her great aunt Dorothy has recently died and sent Hannah a first phase Indian Chief Navajo blanket. It is very rare and worth at least one million dollars. Before she can auction the blanket, she gets a call that her niece has been kidnapped and they want the blanket for ransom. She finds any way to get to France to get her niece, even if it is against the law. She goes but attracts FBI agent Finn, who finds her and offers to help find her niece. I enjoyed listening to this audiobook and thought it was a very good quick read.

This is really what I would call a cozy mystery mixed with romance. Hannah Mills is trying to just make a living and not doing a very good job of it. When she inherits a blanket and finds out it may be worth a million dollars, she thinks her life is going to change for the better. Then the worst happens and her niece is kidnapped. It would seem not only Hannah is aware of the blankets worth. Now,Hannah is off to France to find her niece, Mandy. Along the way, she is going to find a lot more. This is a good. quick read.

This book was not my idea of a great read. Let me say that Kendra Murray does a great job of narrating this book. I had no problem with the narration in fact it is a big part of why I was able to finish this book. I had a hard time with the lead character Hannah. Yes I get she was really attracted to the handsome irish detective okay. But really do we have to listen to her constant over the top hormonal commentary. Really she is talking about the feeling happening between her legs, while we are being told and important instruction from her nieces kidnappers. Really! Don't you think if she was willing to rob a bank so she could help her niece she would be a little more focused on details the kidnappers are saying. It was just over the top for me and was very distracting from the story. I was gifted this book with the understanding that I would leave an honest review.
