She could save me. And I could destroy her.
Luke
Football was God and the stadium was my church. Except for the nights I would stay out, when the choir was the moaning in my bed.
I was the Austin Warriors bad boy. Alcohol. Women. Parties. You name it—I would try it.
But one gold digger started a rumor and suddenly I was on the hook for something I didn’t do… this time.
The owner made me promise to change my image, and I said I would try. I mean I'll try anything, once.

Alexa
America’s Sweetheart, that’s what they called me. Pure. Sweet. Successful. If only they had known the truth from the beginning, the crowds wouldn’t think I was so perfect.
But one night changed everything.
I met the Austin Warriors QB.
After Luke Canton I was lost and found. Consumed and wrecked. He was the only man who saw the real me. And I had to face it… because there was a chance I was having his baby.

Great story with a quarterback and a country music star. You'd think celebrities meet all the time but this was a chance meeting at a charity event that normally wasn't something Luke attended.
The story seems real. The balance between what celebrities' lives are forced to public perception.

I loved how their love bloomed. It was good chemistry and shared need to appease their images.

Even the baby aspect was very romantic. I recommend this book.

I really enjoyed Luke and Alexa's story. I loved how they wanted to protect each other even though that protection is what caused some problems for them. It was a sweet story filled with just enough what ifs to keep you guessing and reading but not so many that it became over the top.

It was just ok

Luke was an egotistical playboy football player. Lexi was America sweetheart country singer. One night of sex turned the sweetheart to a villain and cleaned up the reputation of a playboy. I guess Ms. Paige was trying to make Luke an alpha male type but it came off to me as an arrogant ass. I don't know it just fell apart for me. I skimmed most of it until I got to the very end. I could have skipped this book and not be upset. Sorry it was just ok. 3 stars out of 5 is great. But I might be done with her books.

I think the name of this book kind of summarizes this book, and not in the way some might think. In football a turnover on downs is when a team loses possession of the ball after having not converted their possessions to score. Many times a turnover on downs is a result of a three and out, or only playing three downs before having to punt. That’s where I’m at now with this author’s books, I’m at a three and out.

Like the other football books Paige has written, this one had great promise. I actually liked the characters and the premise of the story, however the author manages to do very little to develop the story. As soon as things got interesting, it was over. And again like her other works, there was a whole lot of sex.

If that weren’t enough, the book is riddled with grammatical errors and stops at 50%, the rest is a completely different author’s book.

If short and overly spicy are your thing, this book is for you. (And if the whole surprise baby is your thing you’ll be sorely disappointed.) I think I have one more of this author’s books, and had I not paid for it I would have deleted it, but I’ll have a go, eventually. I’ve learned my lesson going forward though.

Luke and Alexa I liked them together, Luke being a football player doing what he pleases and not caring about his reputation he does what he wants. When a girl he never met starts saying that she is pregnant with his child he knows that isn't true but he is forced to work with PR to fix his image. When he goes to a charity event he thinks he will do some bids and be gone but as soon as he hears the angelic voice of Lexi (Alexa) Wilde he he feels a connection to her voice. Lexi is the good girl, Americas sweetheart she can't be seen with a bad boy it would ruin her image. That is when a secret affair happens and these two will do what they can to see each other without being seen. I loved how even if they had problems they worked it out not just left, and as soon as a chance that she could have been pregnant he was all for it which shocked himself. This is a nice read and it didn't have any other women drama they are true to each other.

Ugh

Sorry but I didn't like this book at all. The story overall wasn't bad but the characters sucked. Alexa was nice and sweet but had no back bone what so ever. Let people walk all over her and never stood up for herself. And Luke.... Omg. I hated him. Right off the bat he played her to his benefit but of course she forgave him. But what p***** me off the most was the fact he was a known man whore (which Alexa had no problem with) but when her past comes back to haunt her he was the first person to judge her and abandon ship. He was the biggest a$$ ever. I felt there was no connection between the two. It was all about sex. They were so hung up on each other but they didn't see or no anymore about each other. Sorry but they killed it for me. And the fact this book is listed as "a secret baby sports romance" is crap and misleading as hell. The ending was happy but that's about all I can say.

A quick and easy read Turn Over is a cute sports romance.

Luke is your bad boy football player who needs to clean up his "act" as per the football team he plays for. Alexa is the country's darling and americas sweetheart.

Can she help him with his reputation or will he drag hers down?

There is some drama, some secrets and a whole lot of steamy sex in this book. I enjoyed the chemistry between the two characters. I also had some hate on for Alexa's agent in this. He was a douche lol.

Overall an ok read for me.

Although this book comes across as a “sporting” type, it’s far from it. Yes, the male lead (Luke) is a pro footballer, but the female lead (Alexa) is a country pop star and the story revolves around each character equally.
I absolutely loved this book. I think it’s the first time I was willing to read a book all over again as soon as I finished. I’m not exactly sure why, it wasn’t quite a 5 star rating (comparing to my absolute favourites) but very close. The story just really appealed to me and the sex was flusteringly (I’m making that a word) hot but tasteful. I love the way Paige really made me feel their emotions and get to know the way they were thinking…even if I couldn’t personally relate with their celebrity status.
Luke and Alexa share the same struggle of having to live up to others ideals when they just want to be them! But Luke was a domineering man’s man and didn’t take shit, unless absolutely necessary and Alexa was strong in her own right, but weak when it came to her life choices etc after having others making those choices for her for so long and being Americas sweetheart, she couldn’t be bad if she wanted to.
Together they help each other…and when they both come together, it’s just WOW! Chemistry overload.
I don’t want to give too much away, you’ll just have to read it for yourself and thank me later, because I am definitely saying this a MUST READ peoples. The only negative, it wasn’t long enough and it’s a standalone…would love for these guys to get a series.

Read this awhile ago, but somehow forgot to review.

First of all, three stars for Lexi. I liked her, she was sweet, I just wish she had more of a backbone. I'm not a big fan of female characters who don't at least have a little bit of toughness.

I hated Luke. HATED him, and I do not usually hate hot athletic alpha male characters, but he wasn't an alpha male. He was just a jackass who treated Lexi like trash, yet she still forgave him which made me mad. As I was reading this, I kept thinking to myself that Lexi deserved so much better.

I like stories where both the male and female character each make mistakes, own up to them, and forgive each other for whatever went wrong. Without giving away too much, I'll just say that does not happen here. Luke plays Lexi like a fiddle from the start, and because she's so sweet and good, she just bends.

Yes, the sex scenes are good, but that's about it. I've read one other book by Violet Paige, with a similar plot, and I've come to the conclusion that her stories are just not for me.

Luke was a quarterback for the Austin Warriors and was set on being an ass for the rest of his career. He believed he was the b all to end all. Alexa was the good girl country singer that wanted to change her music style but had a jackass of a manager that only wanted the fame of what he got while he was attached to her rising star. Luke met Alexa on a night he was in a bad mood because the owner and coach of his team where trying to change his image to the rest of the world. He was so struck with Alexa that he outwardly flirted with her and she capitulated to the point she snuck out of her hotel room and went to his house outside of Austin, Texas. The two of them then delved in the most salacious sex and an unbelievable love story that makes you believe in love even if you don’t. The night Alexa needed Luke the most though almost made this love story not finish on a high note but things were righted by them sitting down and hammering out her past. Love can be right as long as you listen to your love.

Football and Music

Wow! I didn’t think I would want to mix my football love stories with country music but this one was hot! I love it! This redemption was great and helped both characters. I can’t wait to read what happens in the next novel!!!

Violet Paige has become my go to author for sports romance. It’s sexy, spicy, extra spicy, heartwarming and sweet. With the start of Fall, it can only mean football and love. What happens when a CMT songstress gets knocked up by ESPN’s resident hottie? You have a flag thrown on the play! Turn Over is a steamy story of love, music and football. In the game of life, it’s about career versus love.

When false claims of paternity rears its headliner troubles for Luke, his team’s front office call in a public relations liaison to help spin Luke’s bad boy image into a more acceptable and positive light. After all, his job may be jeopardy. One night, at a charity event he does not want to attend, in a tux he does not want to wear – He is hit with a bolt of lightning - name Alexa Wilde.

To the world Alexa is country’s reigning American Sweetheart. However, Luke quickly finds out she wants to be dirty and capable of pure unadulterated lust-filled romps in bed. And there are many. As a reader, if you are ok with characters shedding responsibility, you will not be disappointed and very much aroused. In an effort to keep their high profile image intact, they plot and scheme private trysts while trying to keep it hidden from the public.

When I started this heartwarming story, I knew it was going to be a treat. Prepare yourself to be charmed and emotional invested. You will fall in love with Luke and Alexa. The romance is full of sexual heat and heart-stopping romance. Turn Over is well written with the common theme of bad boy meets good girl and makes her dirty. You have many moments of tenderness and dreamy love scenes to make your heart sing with happiness. It’s a feel good romance with some angst I didn’t expect. A great twist to the outcome of the story

It’s a story about the pressures of being a professional athlete and a famous performer. It’s a page-turner to make you cry tears of happiness. I can’t say enough about the characters. Luke is a total womanizer with perfect swoon-worthy moments while Alexa exhibits a strong female character who manages to pick herself up and go after what she wants.

description

Turnover was a great 5 star read.

Luke is a bad boy quarterback and has quite the reputation. The newest scandal has caused his management to require him to have someone help him clean up his reputation, starting with a black tie charity event.

Alexa is the country music Sweetheart, no scandals and always doing great things with charities. This is until she meets Luke at the charity event and is drawn in by him completely.

Her manager, Jake of course is horrified that she is even talking to Luke and is trying to keep paparazzi from getting photos of them. This could ruin her career. Alexa is tired of the good girl image and agrees to meet Luke at his place.

This is where things start to get heated. The sexual connection between these two is off the charts. They agree to continue to see each other on the sly, no going public. These two seem to be what each other needs, Luke has never felt like this about a woman before. Alexa is loving being with Luke, he ignites something in her that she has never experienced before. Than one night the condom breaks, what if she is pregnant? Is Luke ready to be a father?

As these two move forward, there are secrets revealed that I didn’t see coming. I really enjoyed reading about Alexa and Luke, you could feel the heat coming off of the pages. The secondary characters were great, however I didn’t care for Jake. I feel like the end may have been rushed a little, I would have liked to have seen a little more. The epilogue was great and we do get to see a HEA. If you like hot and steamy romance with bad boys than 1-click and get started today. Violet Paige does not disappoint with Turnover, thank you for a great read.

I really enjoyed this story! The characters were great and I loved the plot line. Luke is the bad boy football player. He follows his own rules and just lives loud and out there. He doesn't hide what he's doing or put up a front and it has gotten him into trouble with team management. He has been told to change his image or else. At a charity function that he was told he had to attend, he runs into Alexa. They are both immediately drawn to the other but because of who they are and their reputations they have a hard battle ahead of them. Alexa is a artist whose image is the wholesome good girl and her manager refuses to let her alter that in any way. Alexa has been pigeonholed and she doesn't know how to get out of it. Alexa and Luke quickly find themselves wanting to be together but having to navigate the press and the pressure from the people around them trying to keep them apart and push them together for their own reasons. I really enjoyed the characters interactions with each other and the way that their relationship built. They have hurdles to overcome and they have to figure out what they want from each other and out of life. The sex is explicit and hot. It definitely plays a part in the start of their relationship but it quickly grows to more. This story has plenty to keep you entertained as things progress and go on. I really enjoyed the story and the characters.

Luke is a star quarterback who loves his life. Football, wild parties, getting drunk and seducing a different girl every night. He didn't allow any one girl to get too close, to be clingy. That is, until he met Alexa, a country singing star promoted as America's pure sweetheart. A new PR manager hoping to repair Luke's reputation, to clean up his act, sends him to a charity benefit for sick children. Quickly, he becomes bored and just as he is prepared to slip away home, Alexa comes on stage with her music show. Luke is captivated by her beauty and her song. And he's not even a country music fan. If Luke & Alexa were to be seen together, her squeaky clean reputation would help to clean up Luke's image but his wild, womanizing ways would tarnish Alexa's public image and damage her career. So this conundrum is the biggest challenge to the budding relationship their heart's desire. The struggles, secrets from past mistakes and interfering managers provide a very interesting and entertaining reading experience. Great romance, well written. I  voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader copy of this book. Five stars.

Luke is a star quarterback he knows he is one of the top ones, his life of drinking, lots of parties and sleeping with many women has now caught up with him. His coach and team owner give him an ultimatum ; clean up his image or he is off the team. Alexa Wilde is a young country singer with a sweet wholesome girl next door image and her main fan's are teens. Her manager wants to keep it that way no matter what she wants to do he even goes as far as threatening to reveal her true past and ruining her. This story gives you two personalities that want the same thing ..... love, such a great read. I received this for my honest unbiased review.

I loved Luke and Alexa in this book. I thought they were really good for each other. I loved how Luke knew from first meeting Jake that he did not like him. Alexa had a good friend in Helena. Luke took James under him and did not intend to mentor him but he did. Linc was a great big brother. The ending was really good. I wish Violet Paige would follow up with a book with Linc and Charlie and Helena and James. Continue to keep Luke and Alexa in the books if she writes about the other couples. I would read the books because this one was so good.

Alexa and Luke. She's a country music sweetheart with a controlling manager. He's a QB with an image problem caused by his drinking and public exploits. They happened to be a the same charity event and Luke's mgmt team decide to use Alexa to clean up his image. But little did he figure he would fall for the country music girl with a potential image issue caused by her dick of a manager.
Cute, believable story. High steam rating between these two. The characters were lovable and easy to read about. The story ended at 50% on kindle. Another author's story was added as bonus.

I enjoy sports romances. This one features another bad boy that gets in trouble and needs to clean up his rep. The problem is that he tempts her to want to get a little dirty too.

It is a well written story and it keeps your interest. There is plenty of heat between Luke and Alexa. They bring out a new side to each other and find out they are more than just the image.

I received a copy in return for a honest review,
