On one stupid night we have too much to drink. Shots are downed and the liquor is flowing. And before I know it, I'm going for it. It sounds like a great idea, at least in the moment.

This story follows Sean and Scarlett’s path to finding each other outside of their friendship and made me hope with everything I had, that they would have a HEA. The writing style Todd has, just speaks to me. I have reviewed other books of hers and each one is just utterly fantastic. I love how she has the ability to create a universe of loveable, likeable, enchanting characters with stories that we can all relate to in some way. This book is no exception. Well done E.L Todd. Again.

**Spoliers** Sean and Scarlett have been best friends for the last decade. They have been there for each other through thick and thin and would do anything for each other. Sean is introduced to us as a strong, handsome heartthrob who is the best friend any girl could ask for. Scarlett knows how lucky his girlfriend, Penny, is to have him and helps him pick the engagement ring for her. When Penny confesses to Scarlett that she is breaking it off with Sean because she isn’t in love anymore, Scarlett knows the real reason but is just glad Sean hadn’t popped the question yet. Sean is a mess. He is completely and utterly devastated by his heartbreak and is so grateful he has Scarlett, his best friend in the whole world, to help him through this. She brings pizza, beer, smiles and can soothe his aching heart enough that he can actually sleep. Scarlett accompanies him to a work event, helps him gain credit with his boss and he sees the light at the end of the tunnel. Until they leave the party and go for drinks just themselves and he sees Penny wrapped around some other guy and he snaps. Grabbing Scar into a passionately angry kiss, to try and make Penny jealous, he unleashes his pent up emotions and goes home with Scarlett and crosses the line. Scar lets him. And she loves it. When she realises that she has always loved Sean and feels so silly for never seeing how she didn’t realize until now, she heads home elated after her crappy day at her crappy job, only to find that Sean has slept with her friend Janice. In her bed. Her world is shattered and she flees to her brother when she realizes that Sean doesn’t love her. Not like she wants him to. But that's not the end... =)
