[ Books in this series are at a temporary intro price.] MORALITY CLAUSE (#5) is a steamy office menage novel of 54,500 words. Includes hot doms, a bratty sub, deadly secrets, dangerous lies, and a happy ending! Despite the diamond on her finger, Maisie’s future has never looked so grim. Her arch-rival wants revenge, and she knows Maisie’s secret. Ethan Brennbach, Trent Banno, and Raphael Lattimore aren’t just brilliant lawyers. They’re also complicated, dominant billionaires. If they find out what Maisie did… The gorgeous, powerful men love her enough to lay down strict discipline. They love her enough to marry her for her protection. But what will happen when they realize she’s not worth the trouble? This steamy office romance is the fifth and final book in the series. It’s more than twice the length of the first book.
If Cleo isn't writing (or reading!) erotica, she's probably sitting on her balcony, watching the wind blow through the trees. She loves snowstorms, horses, and piña coladas. If she won the lottery, she would hire an assistant to take care of the technical side of e-publishing so that she could write all day.
Some random facts about Cleo: 1. Thinks life's too short to forgo HEAs and HFNs. 2. Sprained an ankle joining the mile-high club. (Never again!) 3. Favorite writers include Cormac McCarthy, Junot Diaz and Rachel Caine. 4. Gets weak-kneed for bookish guys who know how to fix things with their hands. *swoons*
This is the last book of the series and I managed to read them all, although I did not like the three guys. I did not even like the girl as a matter of fact.
But I think they deserve each other.
It is confession time in this book. The three bosses are hiding things from Maisie, like super important things. I cannot believe what is hidden in the envelope (stupid stupid boys!). While she is hiding absolutely idiotic things from them.
And the guys are so nice with her when she confesses her stupidities (NOT):
“Is that everything? Perhaps you drowned some kittens or pushed a little old lady in front of an uptown bus”.
Anyway, if the author writes any more series similar to “Office Toy”, “Executive Toy” or “Lawyers behaving badly” I will most probably read it too. They are totally addictive.
YESSSSSS!!!! Where was this completion in books 3 & 4??? This final installment of Lawyers Behaving Badly was just perfect, so perfect I wanted MORE!!! I would LOVE to revisit Maisie, Trent, Ethan, and Raphael. Cleo Peitsche really rounded the story out in this final chapter! I cannot say that enough. I oohed and aahed through every new piece of information that was provided. It was sexy, sweet, detailed, mysterious, and thrilling to find closure. Maisie did still annoy me a bit with some of her actions but no way near as much as her immaturity in books 3 & 4. In this book she really reflected on her actions and either learned or failed in the repercussions of those actions. I LOVED all the back story and information about the guys (Trent, Ethan, and Raphael) and throughout kept asking myself "why wasn't this information provided before?" This book had plenty of sexy, hot moments but they didn't overwhelm the story and I really, REALLY, appreciated that.
As I said I loved this ending and would not mind another book/spin off with new adventures of Maisie, Trent, Ethan, and Raphael!!
Gutted to have reached the end of this series, have loved every book and read them all within 24 hours. Would love to have them in paperback to add to my library. Looking forward to reading other works by this author.

My Thoughts
Well things are coming to a head with the lawyers, and with Maisie and with the case itself. There's so much uncertainty around what Maisie's done and what that means for her future with the men, and if that weren't enough, Byron is still on the loose and no one knows what he's going to do.
Top that off with things moving forward with the search for Norman's killer, and Heather and Jayne coming into the fold a bit more. We know that Heather is a loose cannon and she's got a vendetta against Maisie so it's a matter of time before she takes an opening and talks to Ethan to put Maisie on blast.
If you remember from the last book, we know that Maisie has to marry one of the guys to protect her, but that's not the only reason as we have learned that there are definite feelings among the group. the question came down to which guy was going to be her husband legally and we learned that Ethan was the winner. A great thing given that he seems to be the most alpha, but he's also the most frightening.
True to Cleo Peitsche's style, we get some of the hottest scenes between this foursome. We know that they don't just like it kinky and dirty but they like their toys and their dungeons. That's where we spend some time - both good and bad. I think that Maisie uses it as a way to get things off her chest and that angers the men given that they want those types of games to be more of an enjoyable thing and not as a means to hide.
Regardless - we get a great ending and resolution to the story - and we see how things play out between all of the necessary players. Finding out the killer took some time, but i think that it was the right person given where the story had taken us. Seeing where Heather ended up as well was a nice bit of closure since we never wanted her to suffer, yet she was so vile to Maisie that you also didn't want her to skate free. All in all though, i'm really happy with how this series ran and i'm bummed that it's over.
I did not like how this series ended. All this build up, worried what her bosses would do, and it was all for not. Annoying internal monologue from the h that I kept rolling my eyes at. She thought about going 40 miles to a dump to get rid of an envelope and was sad she didn't have access to a shredder, but didn't think "hey, I could go to a store and buy one"?!? I kept wondering what the guys saw in her. Oh well.
With lots of ups and down, and a wonderfully fun ending. This book made me crack smiles one after another. It is written really cute. The characters have tons of chemistry!
I liked this series.but it wasn't my favorite bt this author. Maisie is a bit of a dope and at one point she blurts out that she doesn't understand why they want her and frankly neither did I. Anyway the smut factor. in this is pretty good and I will be reading her next series whatever that turns out to be.
