With a move to Florida, Kayla plans to change things up a bit. Grandpa's beach bar would be a fantastic place to please her demanding brides. Beach locale, drinks, and food? Perfect.
Only, a few things stand in her way. Colton, and her brides being attacked and left for dead.
Colton runs Gracie's Place and doesn't need interference in the form of Kayla, or her plans for the future of his bar. Women aren't high on his priority list, especially infuriating women who are trying to run him out.
Who is really attacking Kayla's clients? Is it Colton, who would rather be left alone to stew in his tortured past? Or some other, more sinister person?
Who will win this battle of brides, bars, and hearts?
Hi! I live in Southwest Louisiana (Bayou Country and great Cajun food) with my wonderful and supportive husband. It is such a blessing to have the love, encouragement, and support from my family and friends. God and family come first. After that it's all about having fun and enjoying life. Add music, food, wine, cats, shopping, friends, laughter, and a positive attitude - enjoy life!
I enjoy reading and writing romance and suspense, but am open to other genres!
Colton and Kayla's story is short but it packs a little punch from the feisty Kayla and the determined Colton. The suspense of the brides coming up beaten and left for dead is written good, leaving the reader wondering who could do such a thing and why. Taylor doesn't disappoint with the unveiling of the suspect, leaving me gasping and wondering how I didn't figure that one out.
Good read, compelling suspense, and a dash of a little heat with the romance. Bride Interrupted is a good, last minute, beach read. ;)
My first read from author Taylor Ann began when the author sent out an appeal for reviews on this book. The problem with short stories is just that...they're short, but unlike many short stories in just 76 pages the author has crafted a complete, well-written story, with well developed “real” characters. The author does a good job in all areas and I will definitively read more from her in the future
Complimentary copy provided by author for an honest review. Short story with suspense, summer feeling and a hot romance, it's a good story but in my opinion the ending was short and fast. If you're searching for a quick read this is a perfect one.
I enjoyed this story of two stubborn people. The murder/assault mystery added just enough tension. While I "knew" who didn't commit the crimes I was was blindsided as to the true culprit. This was my first story that I have read by Taylor and it won't be my last.
Interesting, fun and exciting book. It is full of surprises and a lot of suspense. It keeps your attention trying to figure it out. Those are the kinds of books I like. I recommend it.
I received an Advanced Reader Copy of Bride Interrupted by Taylor Anne for doing an honest review.
Loved this book. Great story. Kayla and Colton are perfect for each other. They but heads because both are strong willed but work so well together. You can sense the attraction right from the first time they meet but Colton thinks Kayla is there to take over and push him out of the business. She only wants to make some improvements not take over but would do better at beating her head against a brick wall than trying to convince Colton of that.
Taylor is a great author. Great story you can read in just a few hours.

Bride Interrupted is a short suspenseful romance by author Taylor Anne. This fast-paced novel tells the story of Kayla and Colton. Kayla moved to Florida to help her grandfather, who has become ill. He co-owns a deli bar with Colton, a hot controlling ex – police officer. Kayla has so many ideas to make the deli bar even more successful, but Colton becomes very controlling and suspicious of her motives. Then, people begin to disappear and suspicions are rampant.
Bride Interrupted is a fast and fun novella and I recommend it anyone in the mood for a good quickie.
A fast, fun read, Bride Interrupted is part romance, part suspense. I like the characters. Kayla and Colton had real chemistry between them. I do believe that the author needs to develop her writing style a bit more, as I was often left feeling confused at the quick change of scenes, sometimes between one paragraph and the next. For a novelette, there was enough to hold one's interest and the story came to a satisfactory conclusion.
Such a great visual from that book name, bit of romance with lots of suspense. I love the cover design. my 1st read by Taylor Anne, I loved the read. quick for me. couldn't put it down. I will be reading more from Taylor very very soon. ( :
'Bride Interrupted' was a very intriguing short read. Full of everything you expect from a full length book. Great characters, mystery, potential romance and murder. The characters are well formed and really got me interested in their story. Kayla is feisty and strong willed. Colton is stubborn. What a great pair. I look forward to reading more from Taylor Anne.
I received a free book and voluntarily chose to review it. I don’t usually read romantic suspense so I decided why not read this one. The title said to me, “Read It.” I did and thoroughly enjoyed it. The main female character couldn’t decide what to think about Colton. I usually can determine the plot about halfway in and then read the rest of the book to see how the author gets the bad guy. Not this book! I was totally floored when the person was arrested.
