Kerri’s excited to be able to help plan the wedding of her sister’s friend. Decorating her sister’s middle-of-nowhere cabin and taking some R&R after finally finishing cooking school is exactly what she needs before she starts her job hunt. Unable to sleep, Kerri heads out into the woods before dawn on Christmas Eve to cut pine boughs to decorate the fireplace mantel. It’s cold and dark, but Kerri finds herself enjoying the early morning walk in the woods. Until an unwanted guest in the form of an enormous polar bear intrudes on her quiet morning. At dawn on Christmas Eve, Sullivan, an arctic shifter, goes with two members of the NPC security team to scout out the location for a close friend’s wedding. Deciding he’s a better hunter in his shifted form, he chooses the polar bear, his favorite of his four shifts. Heading into the woods that surround the cabin, he follows the scent of something amazing and comes face-to-face with a beautiful woman who watches him shift back into his human form and promptly passes out. When Kerri awakens, she feels immediately connected to a man she’s pretty sure she saw change forms from bear to human. She can’t explain why she feels drawn to him, but he can. He’s a quad shifter, part of Santa’s sleigh team, and she’s his fated mate. For a human who never realized that shifters, or Santa, were real, Kerri has to make a choice…fast. Either she’s waiting when Sullivan gets back from the Christmas Eve run, or he’ll leave her behind. Will Sullivan get his Christmas wish for Kerri to accept being his mate and join him in the North Pole, or will this be a blue Christmas for everyone?
Prancer’s Fated Mate is book three in the Arctic Shifters series by R.E. Butler.
Kerri’s sister is getting married in her remote cabin deep in the woods and Kerri agreed to arrive early to get everything ready. Kerri has just graduated from culinary school and is anxious to start her career but the timing is perfect to take a few days off from the job search and spend some time at the cabin relaxing while she gets everything ready.
Kerri is so happy for her sister finding her true love but maybe a little bit jealous at the same time. She wants that same happiness for herself. So, on Christmas Eve morning as she is walking in the woods before dawn gathering some pine boughs, she makes a wish upon a Christmas star that she might find her own love. Just after making her wish, she hears footsteps, much too heavy for a humans, and looks up to see a huge polar bear standing before her. But that’s not the most shocking part. The polar bear then transforms into a man, a naked man. At this point, Kerri promptly faints.
Sullivan is a quad shifter. That means he has four animals he can shift in to. A polar bear, a fox, an owl, and one of Santa’s own reindeer. Yes, he is one of the chosen ones that get to help Santa deliver the gifts every Christmas Eve. Sullivan lives in North Pole City. All residents of NPC are only allowed leave once a year on Christmas Eve and only for the one day.
Sullivan has been feeling anxious for some reason, like something is going to happen. He is arriving early at the cabin before his friend’s wedding to scout the area to make sure there are no human’s around. As soon as he saw the beautiful woman walking in the woods, he knew she was his, that she was his fated mate. The connection clicked right in to place. Now all he has to do was wait for her to wake up and convince her to accept him.
“Wherever you are is home for me, Kerri. Here or there. You’re the only thing that matters to me.” “You’re my Christmas wish come true.”
First of all, I fell in love with this cover. It drew me right in. I love Christmas Paranormal Romance and this sounded so good. So, I think that it’s totally on me that I just didn’t love this. All of the ratings have been consistently high. It might partly be that I started on the third book and not at the beginning so there was some history I wasn’t aware of. I don’t mind instalove at all but I just didn’t feel the connection between these two. I still enjoyed it, though. It was a fun little book. Perhaps I will eventually go back and read the first two to fill in the gaps.
I was enjoying this series, however I don't think I will continue to pay for the books to keep going. It's getting repetitive about the telling of, the quads, duties, magic, packing up, of the other mates, etc.
If it was in KU I would keep reading it would be worth skimming the repetitive parts.
Sylvester is a quad shifter at North pole City, he shifts into a snow owl, snow fox, polar bear and Prancer the reindeer. He decides to run some steam off before the big sleigh ride so he shifts into his polar bear. He comes across a smell that entices all his senses and he knows he has found his fated mate, only one problem, shes a human. This was a cute quick Christmas story of finding your fated mate in unexpected places. I just dont like the instant love and sex. I like when the relationship takes some time to develope. Not when you met the guy less than 24 hours ago and you hop into bed.. Other than that I enjoyed the story.
Kerri only gets to see her sister, Charli once a year now that she’s living up North with her husband and kids. You’d think they could get down from Canada more often, but she was grateful for the time they did have. After all, she’d just finished up school and still hadn’t decided where to start her career. This year she has the fun of helping to plan a special Christmas Eve wedding for her sister’s friend Merri. And that was why she was out here at Charli’s deep in the woods cabin. She’d come in a few days early to clean and decorate and now the day was here. A last minute inspiration for the mantel wold cause her to be out in the woods at exactly the right moment for destiny to strike… kinda like it was fated or something. *grin*
Prancer’s Fated Mate once again takes us back to these quad shifters, the special Santa’s reindeer team for some hi-jinks, some fun, and definitely some sexy romance of the forever mate kind. If you’ve followed the series so fr, then we’re going to meet up with old friends and add a couple new ones to the group. Kerri is a lovely lady who is looking for something special to happen, she’s not sure what but she knows it’s coming soon. Sullivan has that same feeling. That maybe this is his year for finding his fated mate. He has a wedding to attend but who knows what magic can happen.
Enjoy a fun, lighthearted and definitely sexy Christmas Eve romance with the folks from NPC, it’s gonna be magical.
I love this series, even if I only read one installment each year at Christmas. These are the kinds of feel-good books that draw you in and brighten your day because the characters feel so familiar.
Kerri is excited to help plan the wedding of her sister’s friend. Decorating her sister’s remote cabin and taking some much-needed rest after finishing cooking school is exactly what she needs before starting her job hunt. Unable to sleep, Kerri decides to head into the woods before dawn on Christmas Eve to cut pine boughs for decorating the fireplace mantel. It's cold and dark, but she enjoys her early morning walk in the woods—until an unwelcome guest in the form of an enormous polar bear interrupts her peaceful solitude.
At dawn on Christmas Eve, Sullivan, an Arctic shifter, goes with two members of the NPC security team to scout the location for a close friend’s wedding. Believing he is a better hunter in his shifted form, he transforms into a polar bear, his favorite of the four animals he can shift into. As he travels through the woods surrounding the cabin, he follows an amazing scent and unexpectedly comes face-to-face with a beautiful woman, who witnesses him shift back into his human form and promptly faints.
When Kerri awakens, she feels an immediate connection to the man she saw transform from bear to human. Although she can’t explain why she feels drawn to him, he knows the reason—he’s a quad shifter, part of Santa’s sleigh team, and she is his fated mate. For Kerri, a human who never knew that shifters or Santa were real, a choice must be made quickly: she can either wait for Sullivan to return from his Christmas Eve run, or he will leave her behind. Will Sullivan get his Christmas wish for Kerri to accept being his mate and join him at the North Pole, or will this turn into a blue Christmas for everyone?
The book contains a few adult scenes, but nothing overly graphic.
What a fun Christmas read. Kerri is helping her sister’s friend plan a Christmas Eve wedding. Little Does Kerri know that he sister is hiding a huge secret. She can only see her sister on Christmas Eve. Kerri is out in the forest gathering pine boughs when she comes face to face with a polar bear who immediately changes to a man. A handsome man that Kerrinis instantly attracted to and feels an unbreakble connection. Sullivan is an artic shifter. He can take on the form of four artic animals. When patrolling the setting of one of his friends wedding he encounters a beautiful woman who is his fated mate. Can he convince her to go with him, that they are meant to be together, will A blizzard keep them apart? This is a fun read. The humor between these two is everything. Sullivan’s possessiveness and caveman ways adds to the charm. Great series.
Once again, this whimsical series delights readers with a cheerful romance that fulfills wishes. Kerri and Sullivan are captivating, fresh and charm readers with their magical romance that puts smiles on readers’ faces and reaches down deep and brings up childhood cheer and belief in Santa Claus and the North Pole. The overall holiday atmosphere adds tons of atmosphere and pleasure while the fast pace keeps readers glued to their seats as this couple hopes their wished come true. I was completely enthralled by Prancer’s story and couldn’t put it down, in fact the only thing disappointing about this romance is it was over too soon.
Sweet and sexry Sullivan, reindeer shifter for the Prancer position for Santa's sleigh and his new found fated mate, Kerri are darling. They come across each other accidentally in the forest. It's not perfect times for accepting each other, but pretty close. We get more info on how Santa and Mrs. Claus work in North Pole City and the charming residents of elves and shifters are delightful. This short novella is quick, not complicated, and the two main characters are beyond perfect for each other.
Wishing on a star on Christmas morning brought Sullivan (Prancer) his fated mate. Kerri is the sister of one of the other mated quads. As a favour she had been at her sister’s cabin prepping for a Christmas Eve day wedding. While decorating the cabin she’s startled by a polar bear who just happens to be her fated mate. A time crunch causes drama when Kerri and Sullivan must reconnect during a blizzard. Romantic and exciting insta connection story.
Another cute story. Charli's sister Kerri is excited that friends of Charli's are going to get married on Christmas Eve at Charli's remote cabin. As a chef, she has the food situation well in hand but needs to do some decorating and furniture moving in preparation for the ceremony. She shows up at the cabin several days early and gets things ready. As she is collecting some last minute pine boughs in the woods, she comes face-to-face with a... polar bear! She faints dead away.
Sullivan, aka Prancer, arrives at the site of the wedding with the other quads to scope things out before humans arrive. A delicious aroma beckons him to shift and find its source. His fated mate! Who, of course, takes one look at his polar bear and swoons at his feet. Oops.
Far better than the previous book with a good story that is believable even with the insta acceptance of what is going on. The sex was a good part of this story rather the bulk of it. Really enjoyable read and I loved that this time we get a bit more of NPC and SC and Mrs Claus and what it is like living there. Let’s hope the rest of the reindeer team all get their fated mates too.
What a wonderful short story about finding love & magic, Kerri is helping to decorate her sisters cabin for her friends wedding, she arrived early to start the decorating & to stay over night to make it easier, she can't sleep & gets up before dawn to get some pine boughs. When she on her way back, she faints at the sight of a polar bear turning into a man!
Another wonderful Xmas Fairytale, the stories makes you want to believe in magic and wish that you will have it granted. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
This was a great read I was happy when Kerri was able to be a mate as well, I always got sad when the human mates had to leave family behind so this was a welcome surprise. Cannot wait to see whose next to find their mate.
I have really enjoyed this series. With every book it just gets better. There is nothing like joy, true love and magic to make a great Christmas story. I hope to find out how Kerri and Sullivan have worked out in the next book!!! I highly recommend this series!!!
I adore these short intertwined Christmas tales! Reading them back to back is perfect. It is time for Sullivan to find his mate. Charli's siater Kerri is a perfect match as long as the weather cooperates.
This series just keeps getting better. I loved Kerri. She is sweet. Sullivan is so perfect for her. I loved how they met and how he is there to protect her no matter what.
