A demon is coming to Saint’s Grove. Luckily experienced demon tracker Ally lives in town and picks up the demon’s trail. Hot on his cloven hooves is a tracker from a world parallel to hers, a man by the name of Brandon, who just happens to be the other universe version of her sleazy ex-boyfriend, Cole.
As if things weren’t bad enough, the demon is after a witch-crafted relic known as The Heart, with which he plans to open the gates of hell and enslave all of humanity. Ally and Brandon must race against the clock to destroy the threat to her world.
Working together, the two are at odds. Ally can’t help but be drawn to Brandon, but she’s not sure trusting him is worth the risk of a broken heart. Brandon knows Ally has been hurt before, but can he convince her he’s worth taking a chance on?
***This is a standalone paranormal romance set within the same supernatural world as the Gallows urban fantasy series while also being a part of the Saint's Grove series of standalone paranormal romances.***
I'm the twisted mind behind The Gallows Novels and the After Death Series. If you want to know a bit about me, here it is: I spend too much time indoors and probably watch too many horror films. Some of my favourite things are; Alone time, people who know when to shut up, having a drink, eating pizza (usually after having too much drink the night before), reading books, adult swim cartoons, bad horror and sci-fi movies, proper good TV shows like Dexter & The Walking Dead, and last but not least having a laugh with my hilarious other half - this would usually include some of the above.

Um, I'm speechless. Wow, talk about 'freaky'! This book made me smile that although we go through life with some not-so-nice people, that it isn't the end of the world. I'm talking multi-dimensions, people. You wonder what your life could have been like if you took a certain path. Well, it's possible, in another dimension, that you chose that route and many others. It's weird to think that all those dreams that may have slipped through our hands could have been fulfilled in another world. It just makes you wonder if every choice you made here was exactly the right choice, given the situation. It kinda makes me feel glad that somewhere out there I am living my dreams and perhaps, in this life, I'm living another. Don't take life for granted! This book is a great read. It speaks of love, attaining the impossible and fighting for what's right. - I was given a complementary Advance Reader Copy of this book for a truthful review.
I was very excited when I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review! Everything I have read in this series has been amazing. I love that you can read them in any order. I love the way the authors collaborated on certain events! Sharon did a wonderful job in her writing of Heart. She kept well with the Saint's Grove theme and introduced us to a few new characters. I love the adventure she wrote: parallel universes, vampires, witches, demons and more things that I love to read about! I maybe would have liked a little more of Cole's perspective, but he wasn't really a main character his point of view was more to give us insight into what was going on. Ally and Brandon are pretty cool characters, I love following trackers around on their adventures! Great job Sharon Stevenson!
I love that the author kept this book within the realm of her Gallows series, even though it’s part of the Saint’s Grover series. It made following the plot and understanding the dynamics behind the characters a lot easier. I really enjoyed this story. Ally is spunky, strong, intelligent and caring while Brandon is is trustworthy, dependable, and sweet. I liked that Cole even had a few chapters to get his POV out there. This was well rounded and very addicting and a great addition to both series to be honest. I volunteered to review this book.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I truly loved it. It is fast paced and keeps you enthralled from the start. The story line is well written and the characters have unique interactions and chemistry. Looking forward to reading more in this paranormal book series.
I voluntarily read this book, all opinions expressed are my own.
I like the story very much. Ally is just trying to do her job as a tracker and avoid her old flame Cole. An eclipse and a demon jumping dimensions make both of those things almost impossible! Follow her thru the night from hell...literally!
Heart by Sharon Stevenson is book 10 in her Saint’s Grove series. In this book Ally is dealing with a demon who is looking for the Heart (a crystal created and sealed with the blood of a witch and demon symbolizing their love) to break open the gates of Hell. Ally has to stop him but she also is supposed to work with her “partner” Cole who just really acts like he would rather be doing other things. What Ally doesn’t expect is another version of Cole named Brandon to show up from an alternate dimension on the tail of the demon that she’s after. But what’s more is that Ally doesn’t expect for the sparks that fly between them from the moment they meet. Will she allow herself to feel this or will she let the past with Cole push her away. Will they be able to stop the demon before he can open the gates of hell or is Hell about to come to Saint’s Grove in a very real way? Heart is the first book that I have read by Sharon Stevenson but I have to say that while it took me a little bit to get into this book, once I got into it I couldn’t put the book down. I was so glad that I didn’t need to have read the other books in this series to get into this story like I had feared as well. For me this is a really engaging story that alternates back and forth between Ally and Brandon. The story blends really well going between the two of them and I really like the flashbacks to earlier times in their lives when they experienced certain things that helped shape their characters as to how and how they are today. I really enjoyed the different elements and aspects that the author takes the time to bring to this story from the soul-gazing, so that you can see into a person’s mind, to the different planes that they get transported to. It adds a unique element to the story for me that makes it stand out from other books in the paranormal genre. I think that it is very safe to say that I will be going back and picking up the other books in this series. I voluntarily read and reviewed a copy of this book. I give this book 5 out of 5 stars and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in books with vampires, demons, cool magic and alternate dimensions. Two thumbs way up.
After reading several books from the Gallows series, reading the Heart was a safe bet. And I wasn't disappointed. The world of demon trackers, familiar from the Gallows series, is used also in this book. Ally is a demon tracker called on a mission, unfortunately accompanied by her ex,Cole. But when the demon enters this world, one totally unexpected person enters this realm, too - Brandon, Cole's existence from a parallel realm. They work together on the case, trying to stop the coming disaster and destroy the relic that could open Hell gates. Strong and kickass characters are the best element of the book. The unusual triangle Ally-Brandon-Cole results in several funny and confusing situations. The story is really fast and interesting enough to be a real pageturner. Some of the struggle Ally must face are a real mindf**k and I cannot even imagine what would I do in her place. Great fast read.
Having read several of the books in the Gallows series, I appreciated that even though this book takes place in Saint's Grove, it's still in the same "world" as the Gallows'. I loved that Ally is an independent spitfire of a heroine. She can take care of herself and she's not afraid to let everyone know that fact. She's been hurt before and that makes her a little bit vulnerable; I found that very relatable. Likewise, Brandon's used to being alone but he hasn't given up the dream of finding his soul-mate. I loved that there was nothing simple about trying to stop the demon, and that they go to see to so many different places while doing so. I received a complimentary copy of this book.
Alley is a hunter stuck with her jerk of an ex named Cole and his AlterNet self from a parallel universe his name is Brandon mix that and you get a whole helping of emotions Ally is assined to destroy one particular demon he wants the heart Aston to open the gates of he'll ally must destroy the stone to prevent the gates from opening Cole is a jerk who only cares for himself he sleeps with ally then breaks her heart the next morning but ally loves him or who she thinks he us Brandon is Cole in another universe the ally in his world was killed by vampires and wanted nothing to do with him when she was alive with nothing to keep him in his universe he gose to mid and hunts the demon when he bumps into ally together they fight the demon and fall in love it's a great book I really liked it 4 gold stars
I feel for Brandon - pinning away for a girl, who never loved him and had someone else. Hopefully his second chance works out for him in this new world!
Soul-mates. Demons. Different worlds. The Heart. A vamp. Love. Hate. Broken hearts. Such a good read!
A fast-paced and well-written read! Cannot wait to read the rest of the books in the Saint's Grove world.
Full of adventure, demons, demon hunters, vampires, witches, werewolves, trust and soul-mates.
A fun fast paced read. I loved the story line with the high stakes and sexy characters. This was my first read from Saints Grove but it won't be my last now! I look forward to reading the other books in the series and being swept up on another amazing fantasy adventure! I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy.
Heart is the first book I've read in the Saint's Grove series. I loved the dynamics and intricacies of the story. The writing flowed effortlessly and didn't get in the way of the story. This story is fast paced with its dips and turns. This book has strong and believable characters. Great story. Once I started reading, I couldn't stop
Like with most the Saints Grove books, this one has demons and magic. Some of my favorite things. But once the portal opens, everything changes for everyone in Saints Grove
It was a interesting book. Definitely don't like Cole. I hope we see this crew in a future story? I'm guessing in this Gallows I'm hearing this is loosely in the same world.
